Of all my stays in Vancouver (there has been many), this would have to be the best yet. I've never felt so welcomed at a hotel, these guys put all other to shame and set the standard as far as I'm concerned (and I use to work on Superyachts so I've seen the highest of standards), The room was impeccable and felt just as welcoming as soon as I stepped in with a bed so comfortable amd luxurious I slept like the dead, a one night stay was not long enough but I have now found my goto for stays in Vancouver - 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Loved the place! It was our 7th time visiting Vancouver. So we've stayed at a lot of places in the past and can compare. Absolutely loved the Smithe House. Everything at the room/apartment is very well thought out, you have everything you need (*even umbrellas for the rainy Vancouver!). The staff is extremely helpful and nice, they were always available if we needed any help or support. So definitely happy with the stay 10/10.

The location. A short walk from the Sea bus in an area with enough places to eat. Easy to reach from the international airport when traveling with public transportation: take the Canada line to the Waterfront station and hop on the Sea bus. The room was very comfortable and everything looked new. The staff was super friendly and we used the two courtesy bicycles to explore Vancouver! They also gave a good recommendation for dinner downtown: Coast.

The house is well equipped with everything you need. Our hosts were so lovely and helpful. They went above and beyond to give us lots of information on places to visit and sights to see. We also loved our chats, learning a little bit about their culture and how they came to be in Vancouver. Our beds were so comfortable, the best of anywhere we had stayed. The whole house is very clean & tidy and the facilities are awesome.

We completely enjoyed North Vancouver.

We completely enjoyed North Vancouver. It was easy to get around and lots to do and see. We enjoyed every bit of our Capilano Park experience. It was more than we expected. Our North Vancouver trip included - An evening at Lonsdale Quay - Capilano Suspension Bridge Park - Grouse Mountain - An evening at Marine Drive and Ambleside Beach - walking the pier - Dessert at Krave Kulture - Must try! I would definitely recommend that people spend a few days there to explore and enjoy.

West Vancouver is a beautiful, peaceful place to visit.

West Vancouver is a beautiful, peaceful place to visit. The scenery is stunning, with mountains, forests, and ocean views all within easy reach. What stood out most were the amazing hiking trails—there are so many options, all incredibly scenic and well maintained. Despite being close to Vancouver, it feels much quieter and more relaxed, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would happily return.

Its a nice place to spend a weekend or a few days. Hany to downtown Vancouver and not as busy in the off hours. Some good restaurants in walking distance and the Quay is nice too. Its a bit noisy on the street side,so book on the sea side if possible. All good and great staff too.

West Vancouver is beautiful and natural with trees and ocean. I went to Pawan Indian Food and it was fantastic. The waiter was friendly and focused. The food was generous enough to take home food for another meal. First day of my trip I went for a relaxing facial at CUR’s Beauty Salon in Park Royal. I would like to live in North Vancouver! The road signs in West Vancouver are abundant and clear for an easy ride. For a solo I thought of visit a beach in West Vancouver but never made it.

North Vancouver is beautiful, fascinating, full of wonderful places to see, clean, not overly busy and just an absolutely fantastic place to stay. There is loads to do, especially if you enjoy being outdoors. We were a group of people with an age range of 25 to 83 and every single one of us loved the holiday.

This place was awful from customer service from the host to the details on the posting. Felt like a scam the entire time I dealt with them because once I booked a non-refundable stay he had no incentive to care about me. Sam, the host, seems to be of the mindset that the more aggressive you are with your travelers the better. He was rude, inflexible and did nothing to make me, a single woman traveling alone, feel comfortable or safe. Sam was completely unwilling to refund any portion of my booking once I told him I was feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. When I booked this place I was under the impression that I had a small "beautiful house" to myself. A week before the booking I found out that it's a guest house, so it shared common spaces with other travelers. The description on the listing is vague enough that it is hard to tell what accommodations each level of guest has. I asked questions to find out more but he kept just referring me back to the listing. He evaded my questions that could have easily made me more comfortable such as "Is there a lock on the bedroom?" "How are security and noise handled?" "What are the shared spaces with other travelers like?" Ultimately he chose to stand tall on his non-refundable policy vs listening to and being empathic toward a unique situation in which someone was not feeling safe with the lack of information provided and newly learning that I'd be sharing space with strangers, including Sam. Booking.com was absolutely terrible to deal with as well. In the end I chose my safety over my money and lost the entire booking cost. Do not book here and do not use booking.com, they do not support their customers in a situation like this.
