Great B&B in close proximity to the highway (just 10min deviation). The location is marvelous, the landscape is breathtaking. The room was nice and big enough for 2 adults and 2 children (6YO and 4YO). The bathroom comes with a bathtub, very clean. The room had a small kitchenette with all the equipment, we preferred to take a pizza instead of cooking. Rich breakfast. The B&B is connected to a Pizza restaurant, pizzas are very good. The personnel is very polite and professional, everyone speaks perfectly English too. Definitely recommended.

We were warmly welcomed into this charming hotel (in the same ownership for four generations) by helpful staff who ensured that all our needs were looked after. Our motorcycle was housed in the adjoining garage, our bedroom was large, bright and airy, spotlessly clean and comfortable. With bar and restaurant facilities also available, we highly recommend Albergo Defanti.

It is a cozy, charming room, we loved the interior and also the view from the garden. It was easy to communicate with the owner, he was very kind and nice. It is a small village, you can park 1 minute from the house. There are restaurant recommendations, try Locanda Orelli!

Nice cozy town, drive from South Germany to Airolo was great and scenic. Great acres to the Swiss Alps. We only stayed for a night in May and drove around the alps on our way to Munich. Should have stayed at least for 2 nights. Great place!

It’s a great place for a-stopover for us traveling from the uk to the ferry port in Ancona, Italy, en-route to Turkey by car. Our dogs stay at the hotel with us. Foods good, service great! Would, and have, recommend this hotel to fellow travelers.

We stopped here for one night on our way back to the Netherlands, but next time we'll stay for more days. The surroundings are incredible, with mountain lakes, waterfalls, and trails... so much to see!

Aiolo is probably beautiful in the snow and it has superb trails up behind in the countryside with Swiss cows wearing bells and mountain goats. Lovely old houses and probably once a delightful place. Sadly now dominated by a huge concrete factory and all the noise and dust that entails. Better to stay at the San Gottardo hotel probably, which is actually ON the pass itself, or above the pass.

nice ski resort, bit hidden from the rest of switzerland but great for a weekend, especially when there has been a dump. Airolo itself has seen better times. There are a couple of restaurants in the street in front of the station, not much to see otherwise
