They really went above and beyond, even without us asking. This was our second trip to Lugano, but our first time staying here, and it was by far the best B&B with a smooth checkout.

The hotel was very clean throughout our stay. The reception staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. I really appreciated the shuttle bus service provided for hotel guests on arrival and departure, a very nice and convenient touch.
We had a massage at the hotel spa, which was absolutely wonderful and very professional. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant; it was beautifully presented and very tasty.
The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and I had an excellent view from my balcony. Overall, the staff were highly professional, courteous, and made us feel well looked after

Stunning location up on the hillside. Fabulous views. Swimming pool with jacuzzi jets is wonderful. Sauna has full glass panoramic windows. Lovely addition of spa area and quiet room.

Both setting and service are exceptional! Wonderful rooms. Highly recommended for everyone travelling with dogs. Mine never wanted to leave and probably still miss the fluffy dog beds :)

My wife and I debated to stay in Lugano or Lucano.
My wife and I debated to stay in Lugano or Lucano. We picked right. Beautiful promenade on the lake front -- and we were there with really good timing that there was an event going on with lots of people at the same time. Also, great walking access to some really good food. We could have stayed longer, and would definitely come back.

PIZZERIA SVIZZERA AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO EAT; CENTOVALLI RAILWAY FABULOUS VIEWS AND JUST 2 MINUTES WALK FROM HOTEL. Also funicular o Madonna del Sasso, then cable car to Orselina/Cardada and after a 5 minute walk, chair lift to Cimetta with wonderful views. Great boat trips as far as Stresa.

Beautiful town, cobbled streets and fabulous shops and waterside restaurants. Travelled for CSI Ascona.
The downside of Ascona is the cost of everything is sky high, that is my only negative.

Very picturseque town with three castles and city walls to visit. Also museum and churches. Lots of shops and restaurants in the centre. Unfortunately we visited during a heatwave, so were unable to do much sightseeing!

Nice cozy town, drive from South Germany to Airolo was great and scenic. Great acres to the Swiss Alps. We only stayed for a night in May and drove around the alps on our way to Munich. Should have stayed at least for 2 nights. Great place!

You must take a swim in the lake.
You must take a swim in the lake. Near the parking garage is a swimming platform. The lake is perfect. Don't test the water first, Don't dip a toe. Take a few steps back, run, jump high, Dive in a resurface a human reborn. Months latter I still think about that dive in the water in the most beautiful lake I have ever seen.
The town is expensive. But If your traveling through. Stop my kid love car spotting from the cafes.

Not a massive amount to do in Melide itself, but there a few nice little restaurants and a Miniature Model Village for the kiddies. A short bus ride/ train ride from Laguna and accommodation seemed much cheaper. We ate in the hotel restaurant, which was borderline fine dining, so food was amazing but a little expensive; presecco, a bottle of medium priced wine and two medium priced secondi meals cane to about €170 plus tip. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade, staying in a wonderful apartment with Hammam and kitchenette; always nice to get an upgrade, so many thanks again 😁

The facility is completely unknown ... even the hotel across the street could barely help me figure out where to go and what to do in terms of check-in. I would suggest you give the directions to people well in advance and explain how the very impersonal check-in works. The message I received in my phone was unworkable without wi-fi and still
very unclear with wi-fi. I wasted over 90 minutes from arrival by van in Bissone to arrival in our room ... driving around aimlessly, looking for a sign of the property, asking many people who knew nothing, etc.
Once everything was clear and we wee settled, dinner took a long walk to get to, but that was worth it. I suggest having a fan avaible for ventilation, as the one window does not allow the flat to breathe.

Losone is the underrated, non-touristy part of Ascona and...
Losone is the underrated, non-touristy part of Ascona and Locarno. It is, therefore, where many residents live because it is quiet, with great access to the Maggia river. The best tip is to walk along the river. It is very well connected by bus, so if you want an area that is safe but above all affordable, then this is the area to stay. Ascona is expensive for what is literally a 5 minute bus ride away. From Losone you can equally head to Locarno as well as Ascona, or indeed go into one of the many valleys.

Lugano is a beautiful city with modern and old buildings.
Lugano is a beautiful city with modern and old buildings. Some luxury villas have been concerted to star hotels . It is a beautiful walk from Paradiso to Ciani park under the trees in this heat wave. Monte San Salvatore is worth going to have a beautiful view of the lake . If you have time , you can see several paintings of the past centuries especially the ones about the construction of the Gotthard tunnel in the museum, view from the top of the church is spectacular and having lunch there with the view of the lake is an experience. You see a photo of Adolf Oggi, retired transport minister with the remark: It is because of Adolf Ogi , that we have the new Gotthard Basis tunnel . This is true .
