This hotel is absolutely superb! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the most wonderful lady (wished I remember her name) who made us feel so welcome and was very helpful. The breakfast was exquisite, offering a delicious variety of options to start the day perfectly. The interior design is truly original, with a unique and stylish touch that adds to the charm of the place. And the rooms? Just wow—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We got an upgrade - we were on the sixth floor and though our windows were facing the street, we didn't hear anything during the night. We only wish we could have stayed longer! The location is also fantastic—just a short walk from both the train station and the old town, making it super convenient for exploring. One highlight of our trip was dining at a restaurant recommended by the hotel. We wanted to go out for dinner, and it didn’t disappoint—on the contrary, it turned out to be an unusual and memorable experience! Thank you for making our stay so special and giving us such wonderful memories. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Breakfast is delicious, varied and you could not ask for more. Quality the whole way and service very attentive and professional. One of the best hotel breakfasts for many years. The only thing at this hotel that might be better than the breakfast is the dinner. It is a gourmet restaurant with good sense of local supply, it surprises you by serving excellent fish thousands of kilometers from an ocean. Highly recommended and for being in Switzerland prices are modest for this level of cooking

The location is great, about 10 minutes walk from the main train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities exceeded my expectations being clean, organised and well managed. The breakfast while basic European, was excellent and most of all, while Switzerland is expensive, this was exceptional value for money. I was very happy with my stay. The bed was comfortable, and all the facilities I needed were available. The staff helpfully gave me a Lucerne Visitor Pass on arrival which gives you free public transport and discounted entry. I'd happily stay again.

One of the best spas. I enjoyed the depth of the pool, the temperature of the water is perfect, body temperature. Great bubbling and water pressure facilities. The steam room was fantastic, too: loved the temperature and eucalyptus essential oil. The room was spacious, really well-equipped. Comfortable bed and lovely view. Friendly, smiling staff. Delicious breakfast.

Small, cozy, it looks like the owners live in it themselves. I love and respect this very much. We were getting back from Lucerne late, the children were already asleep, and it was a kilometer away from the bus stop. I called them, they picked us up in a car from the stop. It was very helpful.

Fantastic city with plenty to do in town and surrounding area. The Lucerne Pass saved us a LOT of money. Staff at the Tourist Information Center were nothing short of excellent. Highlights were the round trip to Pilatus and on another day Rigi. The city is easy to get around, safe and clean. Highly recommended.

Sursee is a stunningly beautiful town with charming old houses, a picturesque Old Town, excellent restaurants, a castle, a creek, and nearby lake. As a family, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I received an upgrade from a mountain view room to a lake view room, which I appreciated very much. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Hotel Rigi Vitznau to anyone visiting Vitznau.

I'm coming back!

I'm coming back! Besides the many bridges and big ALtstadt augmented by a second old area, Kleinstadt are a paradise for strollers and window shoppers. The touted tourist attractions are all what they are said to be. The dying lion monument is right near the Gletschergarten with informative immersive displays of ways a glacier deforms the landscape it leaves behind. The city Museum was a revelation. In addition to the collection of objects from the Middle Ages to the present day, there was a special exhibition about the treatment of children with various disabilities, who were sometimes forcibly removed from their families and institutionalized in very abusive situations. The exhibit contained various opportunities to interact with important questions about the rights of the children, their parents and the state. It gave you much to think about. If you are there on weekends take a stroll along the river, either side, where you will find local farmers selling all kinds of produce, eggs, flowers, cheeses, bread all fresh and made or picked this morning. A little further into the neighboring streets you might come upon small flea markets selling clothing, knickknacks, tools, decorations.... Luzern locals are in these markets hunting for bargains so you get to see another slice of local life. If you brave the old Museggwall and its towers, you might find yourself at a"teaching farm" which also offers food, mostly suitable for brunch. It's a la carte and you fill out your own order slip. Though feeding the farm animals and local begging sparrows is forbidden, the birds have no shame and peck at any crumbs left on people's plates.

We used Weggis as a base to travel to the attractions each day. It served us well for transport and we loved the ferry trips on the lake. Our Hotel Beau Rivage was lovely. Room a great size with comfortable bed, storage space, and relaxation area. Good sized balcony to enjoy the view from. We ate both in the hotel restaurant and a local italian restaurant, which was wonderful.

If you are umming and ahhing about going, just go. I've seen a review saying it was crowded, but October 2023 it was not, it was very quiet so if you want a bustling vibe it's not for you! I think in summer it may be more of a popular spot.

Lucerne is without doubt one of the most beautiful cities we have ever visited. Nestled between a shimmering lake and dramatic Alpine peaks, every single view feels like a postcard come to life. We spent four unforgettable days here and every one of them was different. We wandered the medieval Old Town, crossed the iconic Chapel Bridge at golden hour, stood in silence before the Lion Monument, and strolled along the Lake Lucerne promenade watching the mountains reflect on the water. Then we went up to Jungfraujoch at 3,454 metres — the Top of Europe — and stood on a glacier surrounded by snow and ice in the middle of May. The next day we were in the lush green valley of Lauterbrunnen surrounded by 72 waterfalls. The contrast was simply breathtaking. What makes Lucerne so special is how effortlessly it combines natural beauty, history, culture and adventure. In the space of a few days you can go from cobblestone streets and Swiss fondue to the roof of Europe and the most dramatic Alpine scenery imaginable. If you are planning a trip to Switzerland, do not rush Lucerne. Give it time. It will reward you beyond anything you expect. One of the highlights of our lives. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🇨🇭🏔️

Ok so, Weggis is a beautiful little village but that is also...

Ok so, Weggis is a beautiful little village but that is also it's problem, it's a little village. Activities were limited and so were the restaurants. I would recommended staying there as a "base" but then exploring the surrounding attractions.
