An amazing city with perfect connections and beautiful scenery!We absolutely loved our stay in Lucerne. The Old Town is charming, and the entire city feels incredibly clean and safe. One of the best parts is the water - there are beautiful rivers and the lake right there, and we highly recommend taking the boat trips. Lucerne is also the perfect base for travel. It has excellent train connections to both Zurich and Lausanne, and it is very easy to get to the nearby mountains for day trips. We highly recommend visiting!

Beautiful visit to the old town where we spent time exploring various traditional swiss and european restaurants, shopping and of course, vacation chocolate and ice cream! Accessed Pilatus and the Swiss Museum of Transport easily from the location via the public transportation system.

Walking around the town, especially along the river and the lake. It's a beautiful town. The people are friendly and helpful.
Please be aware of how expensive Switzerland is. Dining out is expensive.

Lucerne has excellent bus service from the train station.
Lucerne has excellent bus service from the train station. We took the Legends of Lake Lucerne steam boat tour with lunch. It was fantastic for a special occasion. We also had excellent sushi at the Sushi Momo Palace, on the same bus route.

The city itself is full of character; so, there are many places to visit and enjoy. The trips around the city are so well organized and coordinated and transferring from one place to another goes very smoothly. We went on trips that combined use of a boat, regular train and a cogwheel train on one day, or local bus, gondola, cable car, cogwheel train and a boat on another one. Such exciting experience, so many beautiful things to see and explore in and around the city of Luzerne.

Stunning views & wonderful staff! The hotel was clean and modern with everything you need at your fingertips. Having the bus that takes you into the heart of Lucerne right out the front was so convenient and having the ferry stop at the hotel was also an excellent addition. You cannot beat the incredible views that Switzerland has to offer right in front of you. All of the staff we encountered were so kind, welcoming and helpful! We could not recommend this wonderful hotel more.

Stunning hotel above Lake Lucerne.Booked for a special birthday. We had a room with a lake view and requested a balcony, which the hotel kindly offered. Very clean with premium toiletries.
Beautiful inside the hotel, helpful and pleasant staff.
Breakfast was excellent. We sat on the terrace each morning with the fantastic lake view.
Having the vernacular to take you down to the town was great. Then a short walk to the beautiful old town.

The hotel itself was in a fantastic location close to bus stops, train station, food, drink and sights.
The view from our room was lovely to open the door to and see the mountains! The staff were exceptional and couldn’t do enough for you. The room was of a good size and cleaned daily. If we return to Switzerland we would not hesitate to stay again!
The Lucerne travel card was also good as it allowed us to travel to Mt Pilatus for free.
