I travel a lot, but this time I was amazed! Andrea answered all answers promptly, helped with check-in, and on the day of our check-out(it was very early morning) even arranged package with breakfast to go. Long story short - out of hundreds stays I had in the recent years, I would remember that hotel for being warm, cozy, and for the great stuff that treats you like a family, doing everything to help and to advise best. p.s. Andrea's dog Max just stole my heart - now I want to have the same =)

Beautiful Alpine Lodge, you know you’re in a beautiful lodge when you can still smell the wood. The most friendly accommodating staff thats were so genuine and happy to be working at this lodge. You can tell that they really have a lot of pride and happiness working here. Restaurant, service and the food was exceptional! Spa was perfect, not over the top but the simplicity makes it calming. Room was calm and welcoming. A couple of welcome gifts on the bed were a lovely touch. The use of a small pack to use whilst out and about hiking in our room was very convenient and useful.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Suvretta House in St. Moritz! The room was absolutely gorgeous with lots of space and comfortable amenities for an enjoyable stay. The staff members were outstanding and the services throughout the property were top-notch! Breakfast was an absolute highlight featuring fresh seasonal fruits, high-quality meat products, cereals and fresh press juices and smoothies. Location is perfect set between the many lakes along the valley. Although central to hiking sites it is nice and quiet and there are several other hotels offering meal options if you need a change. Having said that Cervo’s Ricardo restaurant is excellent with very good personal service from the professional wait team and a good, varied menu. We ate there 3 out of 4 meals and enjoyed them all. The breakfast offering is exceptional - meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, bacon and eggs, yoghurt and a good coffee machine. Our standard room was easily big enough for our travel bags and the bathroom quite large with big rectangular shower. Heated towel rail perfect for drying bits and pieces😊. Re the parking. We asked for reserved parking as there are only 5-6 spaces out front. We were given a swipe card for the underground parking less than 100m away. Which is right next to the Info centre (also very good with lots of maps and lovely young lady with ex. English). Nett Cost per day was around €5. With your hotel booking you also get a swipe card each for the Furtschellas Cablecar nearby saving I think €30ea and this also acts as a bus pass down to as far as Pontresina. I highly recommend this hotel. ALSO, there is a covered terrace on floor 5 that no one appears to use. It’s fabulous. 360deg glass views and really comfy chairs. Terrific for pre dinner drinks or simply reading a book in the sun, should you have the time!

This is a nice hotel with impeccable hospitality. Excellent breakfasts in a chic hall with a great choice of dishes and service. Cleaning twice a day. Nice sweets in the evening, tea, coffee every day in the rooms. Absolute silence and comfort. A small but very nice spa with a jacuzzi and saunas. Musical evenings almost every day. Cross-country ski trails 3 minutes from the hotel. You need to go to the ski slopes by bus (the stop is next to the hotel). A wonderful village with restaurants and a delicious coffee shop. Hiking routes that start right at the hotel. I recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday and enjoying the beauty of nature!

Breakfast option was somewhat limited, but it had all the things that you need to start the day. Staff was super helpful and responsive. I used the luggage transfer service offered by the train station and the hotel collected my luggage from the train station. I stayed in the panoramic room and the view was just exceptional, though honestly the view from most parts of the hotel area was stunning. The room was modern, clean and the bed was comfortable. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel!

Skiing slopes are fabulous and groomed daily.

Skiing slopes are fabulous and groomed daily. Not a powder hound paradise, at least not when I was there. The lift systems are terrific. Once you get the hang of the shuttle bus schedule it is a breeze to get around. Wait times are never more that 10 minutes, tops. EVRYTHING is expensive at St. Moritz! Lunch, dinner, cocktails etc. are really expensive. I will go again for the skiing BUT rent a 2 star or 3 star apartment with a fully functional kitchen. You will save a LOT OF MONEY (and you can always splurge on dining out). St. Moritz Dorf is the "center" of town with all the shops and hotels and high prices. It is dense, hilly and nice to visit but don't stay there. You are better off at St. Moritz Bad. More reasonable accommodations/ restaurants and only 2 minute bus ride away.

A pristine mountain town at the foothills of the Alps, 10 min. Train ride from St. Moritz. Hardly any people. It felt like we were in the twilight zone, very picturesque with a lovely museum and great pastry!

There is a great local bakery : Bäckerei / Konditorei...

There is a great local bakery : Bäckerei / Konditorei Piccolo (Bakery / Pastry).... we visited a couple of times to get filled rolls and drinks to take with us on trips up the mountains. The lady who works there was incredible helpful and friendly even though we had a slight language barrier with me only speaking English. Our fussy teen through the rolls were very tasty. The local buildings are full of history and a walk around the town provides interesting anecdotes to times gone by, written on several buildings. The wild flower meadows in June are beautiful and we found trips up into the mountains well worth it... they are spectacular in the summer.

A classic hotel with history, which alone makes it worth spending the night there. In addition, in a fantastic location that in the past was only accessible to the happy few. The hotel seems to have aged a bit, but the comfortable rooms, grandeur and views make it worth a visit. an excellent place to start mountain tours or bike tours and explore the Engadin.

Silvaplana is very small and quiet village: supermarket, bakery, ski shop and a couple of restaurants. Cross country ski trails are 10 min walk across the bridge and there are regular buses to take you around to nearby villages. It was perfect place for star gazing and having quality family time :)

Family friendly, down to earth place.

Family friendly, down to earth place. Beautiful old village with amazing large houses. Skiing great, free ski bus. Small ski bar on top of Albanas. Several shops in Zuoz. Good restaurants (Crush Alva and Dorta). Muottas Muragl is worth a visit in good weather.

A True Swiss Gem

A True Swiss Gem Nestled in the heart of the mountains, this place is pure alpine bliss. The sound of cowbells, the crisp mountain air, and the best raclette I’ve ever had—made from cheese crafted on-site by their own master cheesemaker. A truly unforgettable Swiss experience.

Beautiful... it fits the ad that says "top of the world". Cool, clean, not too busy ... and most importantly very friendly people (at least those we met...). One of them got out of his way how we could find our apartment.

Very pleased with Samedan as a location.

Very pleased with Samedan as a location. Far less glitzy or expensive than Pontresina or St Moritz, but a very pleasant workaday town with excellent transport connections in all directions and good facilities including places to eat.

This quaint old village, with a stupendously picturesque...

This quaint old village, with a stupendously picturesque medieval church rising on a wooded hillock above the nearby fields, is easy to miss as it is (a) by-passed by the main road and (b) the cheaper accommodation is on the outskirts.
