This place was amazing. The room was very clean, quiet, and private, with a lovely inner yard view. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The renovated Rathaus adds incredible character and charm to the stay. There is a nice restaurant in the property and a bar nearby. One of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!

This is a very sweet hotel, located right on the lake in Gunten. Had a very comfortable stay: the rooms were spacious, clean, and well suited for a good price. The spa is amazing - the little boathouse has great saunas and direct access to the lake if you fancy a quick dip in both winter and summer time. There’s also a fully functioning spa available and a nice selection of treatments. It’s a perfect place for a winter weekend getaway from the city. They also have a great restaurant for both dinner and breakfast, the food was well priced and really didn’t disappoint with the selection. The staff were very polite and attentive - they made me feel very welcome and answered all questions promptly. It was a lovely first stay and I’ll definitely be back for more and recommend to family and friends

Amazing view! Also the restaurant staff were so cordial. Since there wasn't a reception, we often had to reach out to them for info and they were more than happy to help. The assistance was prompt and helpful as well over Booking.com chat. The restaurant food was top notch. We did boat riding which was free and a nice experience.

The staff at hotel excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We would have preferred a front lake view of the lake but the side view was just fine and good view of the lake. Room was Ok. Bed not very comfortable, mattress a bit lumpy and duvet also lumpy. Beautiful view. A nice holiday.

Location is excellent, even from the additional building on opposite side of the road, the lake and mounteain view is breath-taking good. In the direct environment of the hotel are supermarkets, a few restaurants and a lovely recrreational beach. We also appreciated the free water bottles at the room

Thun is a nice city.

Thun is a nice city. Very easy to walk around and small shops that are nice. We were there in December which was chilly and blue/grey, but the Christmas market was cheerful and bright. We took day trips to Bern, Speiz, Schilthorn, and Interlaken and always appreciated coming back to this quieter town. In the summer it would be interesting to enjoy the lake and all the activities offered.

Oberhofen is fantastically located, especially for a hiking...

Oberhofen is fantastically located, especially for a hiking holiday – it is a quiet, charming village with excellent boat and bus connections to Thun and Interlaken. There are several very nice restaurants and bars, some right on the lake with magnificent views.

An Amazing view with best panoramic view of the lake and...

An Amazing view with best panoramic view of the lake and mountains. Plus bonus view of the dears grassing in the early hours. The chalet have everything you need at top quality. Do not miss the nearby easy hike with wonderful views of the woods, fields and lake. It’s an experience to treasure. The chalet is Easy accessible and near all what you need . Thank you Markus for the welcoming experience and nice chats definitely coming back.

The location, the hotel staff, the spa facilities, the...

The location, the hotel staff, the spa facilities, the wonderful spa treatments, the delicious food and excellent waiters and waitresses, the ease of transport by bus or boat (free bus ticket provided plus discounts on activities in the area)..... the list goes on and on. Most importantly we came home relaxed and rejuvenated from this lovely experience.

Lovely lake side location.

Lovely lake side location. Very quiet and peaceful but 8 year old granddaughter felt very comfortable with lots to do. Staff very helpful with our travel party of 2 seniors, 2 adults , 8 year old and 6 month old. Local bus service outside the door to Thun and Interlaken made it easy to get around…also complimentary bus tickets available from the hotel. Very small rocky beach but still managed to get some lake swimming in. Grandaughter loved looking for sea glass. Restaurant good with lots of choices. Loved sitting outside with the lake and mountains all around.

We not spend time in the town, but the location was perfect...

We not spend time in the town, but the location was perfect to visit the most popular atractions (Lauterbrunnen, Gelmerbahn,First cliff walk). The lake was beautiful turquoise color. I ask my wife how they paint the lake :) If u can stay longer because this is the fantastic place.

The hotel is in the most perfect location for a fantastic...

The hotel is in the most perfect location for a fantastic view of Lake Thun and the mountains surrounding it. All the staff are extremely friendly and spoke good English. A very traditional Swiss hotel with balconies to many of the rooms. I highly recommend this hotel.

3 Families sent us exchange students years ago, and we are still friends with all of them, so a lot of visiting. Dinner on the lake, afternoon tea at Schloss Schadau, downtown area by the river. plenty of scenic side trips like the funicular up the Neisen and the Thunerseespiele (musical presented in an outdoor theater overlooking the lake) and plenty of other things to se and do

time restriction to use washing matching n dryer when other guest were using it outside the recommended hr.no information given for entry and host was not picking up call and we all were on midday of the road till 1am. Hot tub was not working coffee pots was not enough.no shampoo or conditioner given. cleanness was not up to the normal stander very disappointing experience with the host

Sigriswil is the place locals go to.

Sigriswil is the place locals go to. In other words, not a tourist trap. Perfect view of the lake of Thun, Eiger North face, Monch, and Jungfrau mountains. Everything within walking distance, and the public transport is awesome. Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall... this place has it all.
