The location is incredible, just a few minutes walk from nature. The room was really spacious and everything is new. They offer an incredible breakfast with fresh ingredients and a big variety of choices! You also have to check out the swimming pool which offer a really nice view to the mountains!

We stopped in this little town on our way to Zurich and we found the hotel was in a superb location, just 50 mts from the main square. Parking is not easy but Rita solved the problema for us. We are quite thankful for that.

A little family run hotel conveniently situated halfway through my journey to Italy. The hotel is a couple of km from the A2 highway, very easily reachable. Also, is very close to the North Gotthard tunnel entrance allowing one to reach the tunnel early to avoid the usual traffic jam. The room was simply furnished, the bathroom well equipped and everything very, very clean. The buffet breakfast was fine with the usual staples of cheese, cold cuts, bread etc. Parking was available next to the hotel and free. Even though it was situated close to the highway (visible from the room window) it was exceptionally quiet. The hotel has also a restaurant serving local dishes but I didn't eat there.

Wassen is small but this hotel more than fit our needs. It is located right on the Trans Swiss hiking trail #2, and next to the grocery store, also a plus. We got the triple room to benefit from a private bathroom, so the room was spacious on top of being comfortable. The real hotel gem was its restaurant. The food was delicious, and the owners take great care not only in preparing the food, but also caring for their guests There were also nicely furnished common rooms for those who might be traveling in a group. Breakfast has everything we needed and set us off on the right foot for the day's hike.

A very ski oriented town with a wide range of skiable areas.

A very ski oriented town with a wide range of skiable areas. Some of them requires bus/train ride to get to. The Epic pass doesn't include the train ride and some lifts close around 3:30. So plan well to make sure you can get back in time to take the lift down to the bottom.

The hosts were super friendly and helpful, offering lots of extra services that made our stay even better. The apartment was fresh, comfortable, and in a perfect location. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back!

One of the most beautiful places in Switzerland, that is not...

One of the most beautiful places in Switzerland, that is not very much known to international travelers, which means cable car prices here are way cheaper than for example Mont Pilatus. It has everything, the lakes, majestic mountain peaks, secluded Seelisberg See, the historical background. The shape of Vierwaldstättersee makes it looking like a fjord from above. I truly adore this area and I think it's highly underrated.

Quiet village situated centrally for access to stunning mountain scenery and impressive passes. No more than 90 minutes by car from Zurich airport and the same from Chur for Bernina and Glacier Expresses. 20 minutes from Andrematt and that it has to offer. Swiss rail station within walking distance

The hospitality was second to none, 5 of us turned up on motorbikes after only booking a couple of hours earlier. The hosts went out of their way to cook us a home cooked meal even though it really should have been reserved earlier, as there was nowhere else open, there was also an honesty bar. The room was cramped, 6 mattresses in a row, and basic but it was all we needed after a hard days riding. Then it was topped off in the morning with an included continental breakfast, that was great. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Nice place.

Nice place. I used it for an overnight stop, whilst continuing the next day to Italy. It is clean, price is right, nothing special. Price and quality match, people are friendly. I phoned in advance to check how to find it, the owner explained this to me clearly and in a friendly way. Not far from the highway, next morning I was in 10 minutes back on it.

Long narrow drive up to Isenthal, not for the faint hearted. Basic accommodation with friendly staff and excellent location with mountain views. If you don't like pork your out of luck as the restaurant only served various tasty dishes of pork.

The light in the bathroom is not bright enough to do makeup at the nice mirror provided. The noises from the restaurant below could be heard, but wasnt too loud. Garbage disposal was problematic and inconvient.

The staff were very friendly.

The staff were very friendly. The owners (Gaby and Andy) gave us hints for where to hike in winter and loaned us walking sticks. The view from our room was beautiful looking at the mountains and lake across the valley. We assume summer will be beautiful as well. The restaurant was also excellent with a good selection and service. Breakfast included with the room was also great. Altdorf was a nice little village and people were helpful. We plan to return with our children and their partners.

Perfect place!

Perfect place! It´s a very calm place and you will experience the real contact with the nature. In this region, you will have a lot of places to visit, or just to take a seat and enjoy the view of the lake.
