Amazing host, Uwe welcomed us so warm and nice, we were feeling as comfortable as home.
The apartment was within minutes to shops, supermarket, train station and restaurants .....
Everything was so organised, also a big garage for your ski equipments and rooms to leave your jackets and much more....

Andermatt is a developing ski-town with investment from both Real Estate developers and Vail Ski Resorts. The ski infrastructure has seen significant investment over the last 4-5 years with upgraded lifts. The scenery is not as dramatic as some other alpine regions in height, but it has some charm and is easily navigated. A noticeable uplift in the volume of hotels & restaurants is expected across the next 3-5 years, which will bring some additional atmosphere to the evenings.

A very ski oriented town with a wide range of skiable areas.
A very ski oriented town with a wide range of skiable areas. Some of them requires bus/train ride to get to. The Epic pass doesn't include the train ride and some lifts close around 3:30. So plan well to make sure you can get back in time to take the lift down to the bottom.

The light in the bathroom is not bright enough to do makeup at the nice mirror provided.
The noises from the restaurant below could be heard, but wasnt too loud.
Garbage disposal was problematic and inconvient.

it is a great location to stay a few days and their facilities and staff were excellent. It was first hotel we had to pay for our parking on our trip around switzerland, which i feel there is no need to when you are a guest .

There are a lot of activities, but we only had a day.
There are a lot of activities, but we only had a day. I did rent a fat bike and the trails are great for bikes. X country skiing & walking. Good variety of restaurants & relaxing. Beautiful area

We visited Andermatt at the very end of the summer season,...
We visited Andermatt at the very end of the summer season, in September. It was wonderful!!! No crowds anywhere but warm sunshine and cool clear air everywhere. We did excursions to the Furka Pass and up to the summit of the Gutsch mountain and the mountain beauty was staggering. There is also a lovely, mostly flat streamside foot trail up the valley for several miles, and we enjoyed walking amidst the cows......

A wonderful hotel complex with every detail thought of. The hotel has a quiet relaxed and luxurious feel about it. We stayed in an apartment which had amazing views.
