we stayed one night to start Rhine river tour to Holland but could have stayed for far longer to explore other places on our bikes and really recommend Furka Pass and exploring Rhone nearby (another route done a few years earlier)
Andermatt was full of cyclists
Just a shame Switzerland is so expensive but train travel is great with bikes and some buses will also take bikes. Brilliant place.

Andermatt is a developing ski-town with investment from both Real Estate developers and Vail Ski Resorts. The ski infrastructure has seen significant investment over the last 4-5 years with upgraded lifts. The scenery is not as dramatic as some other alpine regions in height, but it has some charm and is easily navigated. A noticeable uplift in the volume of hotels & restaurants is expected across the next 3-5 years, which will bring some additional atmosphere to the evenings.

A very ski oriented town with a wide range of skiable areas.
A very ski oriented town with a wide range of skiable areas. Some of them requires bus/train ride to get to. The Epic pass doesn't include the train ride and some lifts close around 3:30. So plan well to make sure you can get back in time to take the lift down to the bottom.

The noises from the restaurant below could be heard, but wasnt too loud.
Garbage disposal was problematic and inconvient.

it is a great location to stay a few days and their facilities and staff were excellent. It was first hotel we had to pay for our parking on our trip around switzerland, which i feel there is no need to when you are a guest .

There are a lot of activities, but we only had a day. I did rent a fat bike and the trails are great for bikes. X country skiing & walking. Good variety of restaurants & relaxing. Beautiful area
