So much to like and praise! Location: Bang next to Exit A of Huaqiangbei station on Line 2 of the Shenzhen Metro. You come out of the exit, and on your immediate left you will see a Starbucks. Walk through and you will reach the elevators. The reception is on the 23rd floor. Room: very large and comfortable with two types of pillows. Large bathroom with high-quality toiletries and everything you might need for your stay including...well, you'll just have to see for yourself! Service: Everyone I interacted with was very polite and helpful. In particular, Jonathan at reception is an asset to the hotel. Speaks excellent English and goes out of his way to help. He gave me a room on the 32nd floor with a fabulous view. Thanks Jonathan! What else did I like? Wonderful breakfast, free afternoon tea, free noodles for supper. Ooh and don't miss the cute robots that deliver food to your room!

The hotel is Beautiful. The ground floor looks nice and the reception is on the 70th floor. The building is excellent. Rooms are clean, silent, and big, with exceptional views, a big bathroom, and a toilet with an automatic up and down lid, flush by itself.

I was surprised to find the hotel located in an oasis right at the heart of Guangzhou. The green, nature friendly vibe was definitely a plus plus, and the views are spectacular - you could see the Canton Tower very vividly from the riverside. Not all the staffs speak fluent English but they were supportive during our stay. The architecture was Ling-nan influenced with some modern twists, really loved the details. Food was impressive too.

This hotel has a very good location. Taxi prices are very affordable in China, so the central location of this hotel is a great help for visiting various places in Shenzhen. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious, it has many amenities, and it offers absolutely everything listed on Booking.com. It was truly a very good experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offers a wide variety, which is truly delicious. There are also several restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores around the hotel. If I return to Shenzhen, I will not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

    The choice of restaurants was good and the food quality was excellent. We went for business primarily. It’s not a city I would choose for tourism. Extremely disappointed with the Canton Tower experience. Most certainly wouldn’t waste your money on this.

    Been first time in Shenzhen and not able to speak Chinese...

    Been first time in Shenzhen and not able to speak Chinese was interesting. People were helpful, polite and patient. I was told there were all sorts of hurdles. No internet, needs VPN , no WhatsApp blah blah blah. I bought an esim from Agoda which was cheap as chips which worked brilliantly. WhatsApp worked as normal. I installed Alipay with a credit card that doesn't charge international fees before travelling. Alipay pays for everything. Brilliant. It had Didi for transport. Brillant. I had WeChat installed but not able to read Chinese it was not completely helpful unless I ask the restaurant staff to help. I installed Amap which is to replace Google map and it was very accurate. So an esim from Agoda/Alipay/Amap/WeChat is all you need. Oh Google translation was mighty helpful for menus etc Enjoy.

    Foshan is a busy town but feels more relaxed compared to Guangzhou. There are markets, local stalls, two malls, and plenty of places to grab bubble teas and fresh juices, including small family-run stands. Lots of local restaurants serve Chinese and Canton-style food. McDonald’s, KFC, Domino’s, Starbucks, supermarkets, and several 7-Elevens are all just a few minutes away on foot. The train station is about a solid 20-minute walk Go here for the BEST Peking duck I’ve ever tasted Hu Shuai's home · fruit wood charcoal roasted duck (Jinke Building Store) No.29, Qingfeng West Road, Nanhai District, Qiandeng Lake C+ (opposite to Poly Tian Yue)

    Highly recommend only staying in this region especially if you are shopping for building materials and furniture. Many places will send Didi cars to pick you up. Canton Fair is only 1 hr away depending on traffic. Guangzhou is only 45 mins away depending on traffic and what time you leave.

    Dongguan is not a destination city.

    Dongguan is not a destination city. It does not have the things to do that Shenzhen and Guangzhou have. But if you are there on business or visiting friends, there are some things to do. The mall off of the Hongfu subway stop is nice. Qifeng park is huge and beautiful. Grateful Q is a great restaurant with amazing ribs. I lived here for 8 years, and I always come back to visit every other month.

    I went to Shenzhen mostly to buy various electronic equipment cheaply and was not disappointed. There are mare shopping malls than you can pole a stick at. I never had time to visit several places I had planned to as there was so much to do.
