Quiet town outside of the loudness of the big cities ... this place is like an oasis of calm. Big size rooms, looks like recently renovated, minimalist design. Restaurant and bar have fair prices. Keep in mind that the hotel is in the hill (like in the middle of nowhere ... it is someting I liked but that is subjective).

I was driving from Dusseldorf to Zurich Airport, Hotel Engel Luttingen was the perfect stop to rest for the night, with less than an hour to drive in the morning. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on Monday, but there was one near by. Breakfast was awesome, clean room and friendly staff.

    My family and I have come for years. We love the location and the family run business. The rooms are spacious and comfortable .the ones that have been remodeled have a beautiful new design , I loved it! The food is always fantastic, we love the Schnitzel and the home made Bratwurst. The breakfast is always a highlight with little things like smiley faces on the hard boiled eggs and a nice variety of meats , cheeses spreads and freshly baked bread.. One more thing the Schnaps you can buy is definitely a must have.

    We loved walking along and swimming in the Rhine river. We also loved the wooden bridge, which is said to be the longest in Europe. Close to the bridge there are attractive gardens and a chateaux. There is a beautiful baroque church in the old town nearby.

    Waldshut is a good hub to discover the Black Forest and to visit Switzerland as well. Waldshut is a clean, nice little town on the banks of the Rhine river, which makes it an ideal location for bike touring as well as for kayaking.

    It's a lovely little town with a relaxing Altstadt, on the Rhein and perfect for walks. It's well served by local trains for trips along the Rhein to other places of interest if you don't want to drive everywhere. The old wooden bridge across the Rhein takes you to Switzerland.

    Beautiful small place with lots to see and do. 30 minutes by train to Basel (Switzerland) or 45 minutes to Schaffhausen (Rheinfall) or just over 1 hour to Lake Konstanz. Therme Bad Säckingen was nice and never too crowded. Entrance (unlimited including Sauna) was included in the hotel stay (Hotel Schweizerblick)
