- From $281.15 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 11,657 reviewsThe hotel is fantastic! The hotel is very close to Central Station and Tivoli, which makes it really centric. The installations are really cool, they have a big game room where you have tons of board games and books, and for the families there’s a small jamboree for kids to play while their parents can sit for a bit and enjoy a relaxing cup of whatever they want. Breakfast is very complete, it has lots of fruit, kids cereal, tea, and coffee never end, biscuits, sweats, toast, and whatever you can think of. The staff is wonderfully helpful and nice. One of the best customer service I have ever had.Guest review byPaolaSpain
- From $296.93 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 307 reviewsSuch a charming and intimate place! With quirky, personal touches sprinkled throughout. We felt very much at home at Hornbækhus, and enjoyed exploring each of the nooks and crannies it had to offer. We partook in the community dinner, which was fun and delicious, and breakfast was nice as well (keep in mind, it's not a buffet - you order from a menu). Our room felt very cozy, however the real charm was coming out of the room and reading a book or enjoying a cocktail in the "living room" and going on long walks along the beach close by.Guest review byNina ParkDenmark
- From $512.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 5,072 reviewsFantastic hotel for children especially during the holidays! We unfortunately arrived too late to enjoy the full holiday experience, but will definitely come back. Excellent breakfast. The indoor pool is very nice and helps relax after a long day of walking in the city. Several restaurants on site, although their brasserie could have a bit more seating area and stay open til a bit late - make sure you book your table well in advance.Guest review byAna MariaBelgium
- From $434.03 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 368 reviewsThe place is very cozy. The staff were extremely friendly and tried to make anything happen for us. We had different room types and all of them were freshly renovated. Cool sauna with sea view with the possibility to jump into the sea afterwards. Also the food was incredible, the had a limited menu as it was opening weekend so we tried literally the whole menu and everything was delicious.Guest review byMichaelRomania

Additionally, there was an extra duvet and towel in the cabinets so my friend was also comfortable.Guest review byBriannaSweden

We stayed near Tivoli Gardens, which turned out to be the best part of our trip. We spent 7 hours there, and each member of the family, from 5 to 65 years old, had a wonderful time! The Tivoli Food Court provided the opportunity for each of us to select our own meal. We thoroughly enjoyed a canal tour, and it was good value and a fun way to see the highlights of Copenhagen. A tour of the Christianborg Palace did not disappoint. We all enjoyed that. Every person that we met spoke English, which was very helpful and much appreciated. The tourist shops are plentiful and mostly similar. The only real downside of a trip to Copenhagen is the exorbitant cost of everything. Be prepared for sticker shock! A basic meal at Hard Rock Cafe for four adults and two children costs over $250, while a quick evening fast food meal at McDonald's for six costs approximately $80. A small "flat white" coffee at Tivoli Gardens came with a nearly $8 price tag! So, be prepared. We were also surprised by the limited options for seafood restaurants. Although Denmark is surrounded by water, the seafood options appeared to be limited to shrimp, herring, and salmon. All in all, this city is interesting, friendly, features excellent public transportation, and feels safe.Guest review byAnnieUnited States - 10.0
Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen.
Helsingor is an adorable town an hour north of Copenhagen. I don't know that I'd have ever thought to go there but my son decided to get married there. It was an ideal meeting place for both families as his wife is from Germany. There are lots of lovely shops and restaurants and the ferry to Sweden is super easy to catch. We enjoyed our short stay. :)Guest review byOliviaUnited States - 10.0

I've been to Roskilde for the festival every years since 1992 and also as a tourist off-festival. It's a cosy small Danish town with lots of restaurants and pubs + few sightseeing locations like the cathedral and the Viking museumGuest review byJimiGermany - 10.0

I traveled by train from Copenhagen to do a 3 day hike. Koge was such a pleasant surprise - gorgeous architecture, good little hotel close to the market square, lots of amenities (shops/restaurants). Took a bus from train station (get your bus and train tickets in a 7 Eleven) to furthest point to hike to Stevens Klimt. Had to return there that night to connect onto another train to Mons Island - amazing hiking spot! Koge is not a touristy town so really nice to see the Danes doing their market shopping on a saturday morning too. Great restaurants too.Guest review byBirgittaAustralia - 6.0
A city famous for its castle.
A city famous for its castle. Otherwise, classic countryside, from the point of view of gastronomy, nothing that would in any way stand out above the Danish standard. Bad taxi service, quite problematic for those who don't come by car.Guest review byJanCzech Republic - 10.0

It dark in these time of the year, but it is a great and green place. Friendly people and possibly nice path for recreations. I were business there though. I would say the staff in the 7 eleven at the station I do like the best, however at late card terminal may not be operation. Feeling safe.Guest review byMihályFinland - 10.0
Lovely quiet place at the end of a dead road.
Lovely quiet place at the end of a dead road. Only traffic passing by is for 2 other houses. Beach and nature right outside the door. Copenhagen only half an hour away by train. Shopping mall less than 2 km away. Several supermarkeds in the area. We had a car to get around. If you are there without a car you would have to walk between 1-2 km to get to the train station and shoppingGuest review bySusanneDenmark - 10.0

The hotel is clean and very close to the train station so, it was very easy to get to central station which gives you access to all the trains that will get you to where you want to go. You can catch a train direct from the airport to Tastrup train station and walk less than 5 minutes to the hotel.Guest review byAnnaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Not much around. It's a shopping centre. There is greve strand (beach) nearby but we didn't go. 30 min drive to Copenhagen. The kebab in the shopping centre was quite good but not many other places to eat.Guest review byA_N_DroidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Take a travel kettle, with sachet drinks - as most accommodation doesn't have it - it will save you a fortune!! Buy rolls, fruit, juice etc from supermarkets to save on expensive breakfast and lunches. It's a beautiful place but really expensive. There's plentiful public seating in most areas.Tap water if great and safe, no need to buy bottled water. Public transport is extremely efficient and regular. Buying 2 /3 / 4 day ticket (on the DOT app) will save a fortune as it covers the buses, metro, and even water bus, plus the ride to the airport!! Very good value. The water bus is worth taking for the trip itself - you can stay on and come back. People are initially reserved, but once you get talking are really friendly. Everyone speaks English, which makes life easier!Guest review byKarinaCJBUnited Kingdom
