Fantastic location in walking distance to old town and cable car. Our room was very quiet being on the top floor with a lovely view to the mountains. Our host Thomas was easy going, helpful and organised a taxi driver for a longer day trip we took. We were most grateful for his assistance. Great breakfast and selection of cereals, pastries, tea, coffee etc.

We liked everything: the great location (very easily walkable with child and luggage from the railway station), the clean, comfortable room, the friendly, helpful staff, the comfortable beds, the excellent breakfast. 1) Very welcoming receptionist. 2) Beautifully clean throughout with tasteful, festive Xmas decor. 3) Very comfortable bed with tea, coffee and fridge and safe facilities within the room. 4) Probably the best French main course meal I have ever had on my regular visits to France! 5) The English/American music playlist in the restaurant was amazing because so many of the artists and their songs would have been on our own playlist. Clearly selected by their DJ from our era!!!! It made for a very enjoyable evening. 6) Our car was broken into with smashed windows at another hotel near Grenoble last April, so the most important factor this time was safety of our vehicle. The Pomo Hotel was fenced with security gates and 24 hour reception, so we went to sleep believing our car would be safe and it was!

Well, every single moment from when we entered the gates to this gorgeous historic establishment was just memorable. We were accompanied to our room which was very spacious, clean and had the most comfortable bed and pillows. View was superb of the chateau. Booked in for 2 hours in the spa for a relaxing time enjoying the warm jet waters, sauna and steam room. This time was most warranted to then laze on a recliner lounge for a much needed afternoon siesta after weeks of travelling. We came via train from Geneva and it was so easy to get the D tram then the C4 bus to the Chateau. We booked in for dinner and chose the 3 course set menu. WOW. Do yourself a favour and sit in amongst the family portraits in the dining room and emmerse yourself back into history. An absolute charm. Food was just stunning as was the service. What a delight. This place was so quiet and tranquil, and gave us as travellers the time we needed to unwind and relax Hats off to you guys and all the staff. ❤️

It was clean and well-kept. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked well. The location was good, and on-site parking. It was dog friendly and they had dinner options on-site which helped, as there were no grocery stores open when we arrived. We only stayed for one night, but I think it would’ve been nice to stay longer. The woman at reception was incredibly friendly and offered to leave the pool and gym open longer for us since we arrived soon before they were due to close.

Easy access for Grenoble and parking behind closed gates. Rooms very pleasant and areas with plenty of places to sit. Exceptional service from the reception staff, it was a bank holiday and Phillippe tried to find us a restaurant that was open. There were none nearby and so it was suggested that we order in some food. We agreed and on arriving in reception were pleasantly surprised to find a table set for us and then the food was prepared and brought out when we were ready.

Clean and comfortable good size room. Everything was new, the hotel is right next to the highway so very easy to find. The soundproofing is great so you don't hear any noise and you can get a good rest. If you are trying to visit Grenoble this is definitely not for you as it's in the middle of an industrial estate outside of the city. But if you are looking for a place to get quality rest while you are on the road it's amazing value for money

The city seemed just abandoned, although the location is very nice with the Alps on the backdrop, city center feels as if it is in a declining mode. Restaurants and retail shops look as if they are in a different country not in France. We are not coming back anytime soon

Calm and quiet village next to Grenoble with a good bus connection to the city center and main station. Offers City bikes and scooters. Bike lines are available, Hiking to the nearest mountains is possible directly from the village without necessary to use any public transport

Voreppe is located at the foot of the Vercor and Chartreuse mountain ranges, within 20 minutes from Grenoble. If you like mountains, green scenery, snow capped mountains, this is a place for you. You are within reasonable distances from small villages, the large Grenoble metropolis, 1 h from the 2nd largest city in France (Lyon) and dozens of ski resort ( for winter or summer activities).

Connection by public transport to Grenoble is horrible (1 h+ when a car ride takes 20 min), and taxis are VERY expensive (I paid > 70€ for a taxi from Crolles to Grenoble train station on a Sunday). Either come with your own car or don't come at all. The nature and landscape is beautiful though.

We really enjoyed Grenoble.

We really enjoyed Grenoble. It is a nice friendly city with good transport. We visited the art gallery and the cable car. The scenery is stunning. We were only there two days but with more time would have ventured out of the city into the countryside. We would recommend the Belle Idée restaurant. After Grenoble we went to Aix. The first part of our journey was on a beautiful little train from Grenoble towards Gap. This went through the Alps and this journey was amazing. Well worth doing.

Beautiful city with mountains all around. Generally people look healthy out and about running or on their bikes and there is an obvious commitment to environmental issues. The museum is the best art gallery I have ever been to! Easy city to be out and about in with so many inviting cafes and bars and spectacular views from the telegraphique
