you have food and cold and hot beverage free of charge at any time near the breakfast area. Rooms are simple but nicely furnished and beds are very comfortable.
But.. what deserve a 10 out of 10 is the breakfast. This quality is rarely found even in 5 stars hotels. The buffet breakfast is of super high interest.

Location was great as well, right at the centre and at 2 minutes walk from the tram station, and the Christmas market was just across the road!
The room was clean, staff was cordial, breakfast buffet was good.
Over all, it was a very good stay! Highly recommended

Grenoble is a pleasant university town, a valley town tucked in the Rhone Alps hills; about an hour north east of Lyon. Many nice places to walk to, no need for a car. Restaurants are resonably priced and not over bling bling.
One noticeable feature the city suffers from are homeless people. Similar to Nantes, more local government management and police enforcement is needed for this problem and for the vandalism to cars, especially to those outside of the department and the country. Like Paris, it's becoming more and more a problem for residents and visitors.

Grenoble's old town is fascinating & city has numerous VG restaurants serving different national cuisines. Great base between 3 mountain ranges, good to escape into as the city is rather air-polluted in high summer.
Substantial and frequent tram system makes getting about very simple.

Grenoble was a welcome relief from the crowds, bikes, and high prices of Annecy! The sites from old town Grenoble are among the best we've seen in European cities - the "bubble" cable car, the Bastille, and all the museums just made our visit wonderful. Be sure your lodging has AC - ours did and it was needed!

When I found about the crime rate in this city, it was too late for me to change my plans. The city is really beautiful, amazing, but I was worried about my safety as a solo female traveller.
By the way, visiting Grenoble during the spring time is the best decision for this city. Temperature exactly for a walk on/off the bastille and everything around you is blooming and nice smelling!

I love being in France, but Grenoble was a disappointment.
I love being in France, but Grenoble was a disappointment. It is mostly more modern and not attractive in its architecture, which I normally love in much of Europe. Driving in was a bit of a horror, as I followed directions and then came to a stop with poles in front of me blocking the street. I parked in the underground, but the exit slot was too narrow for my car and I scratched the side.
The Art Museum was excellent, but as far as touring a city, Grenoble would not be a choice for me again.

We were able to check in at a reasonable time. There is off road parking with space reserved for motorcycles. The desk is manned 24 hours a day and overlooks to motorcycle parking. It is right across the road from the commercial centre with a large number of places to eat. Breakfast is included in the cost and is good. Whilst there is no bar, we drank wine purchased from Carrefour in the reception area.

Recently renovated building on prime location near the city centre, with free parking space, very pleasant and helpful receptionist Jacqueline. Good restaurant with splendid views on the top floor.
