We found this lovely countryside hotel on our way to Provence. We started in the afternoon with a swim in the pool and some relaxing in the garden. Then a great dinner with local flavours and a good night’s sleep in comfortable beds. Excellent and friendly service. Warmly recommended!

My husband and I were wowed by this hotel. It is beautiful, the rooms are top quality, the gardens are spectacular, the food is amazing. Parking is convenient and the staff couldn't be nicer. It is close to Lyon, but so much easier to navigate if driving. We look forward to our next visit.

I had a room with mountain views and it was a really beautiful view that included the golf course and the mountains; it almost looked like a painting. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was quiet and had all that was needed, the bed was comfortable, modern shower, heating in bathroom. Perfect for travelling by car, as you can park your car in their large parking area right next to the hotel free of charge and access your stuff at any time.

Everything was an experience. The staff were incredibly charming and helpful. We were given an upgrade, but honestly anywhere on the complex would have been delightful. The pool was wonderful as the temperature had reached 32° We didn't eat in the restaurant (as we had eaten lunch) but we spoke to another guest who said it was superb. We will return.

This is a great resort for a mixed ability group, with great beginner green slopes and a wealth of red and black runs for more advanced skiers. Multiple snow parks for different abilities and a fun run for kids called Marcel’s Farm. There were also some blue runs for intermediates but less than in resorts like La Plagne. Many of the slopes have a southerly aspect so they can get slushy when it’s warm. Good lift system with fast lifts. La Folie Douce is fun with live music around 4-4:30pm. Chantebise at the top of Pic Blanc 1 lift also has music (albeit not live) and a more relaxed vibe. Tip: the loos in Les Bergers centre are poorly maintained with no soap! Use the ones at the top of Pic Blanc 1 lift which are much nicer!

The Gallo-Roman Museum is the best collection of mosaics I have ever seen. I loved the whole site. The city is small enough to walk around. I found the history well presented at various sites. I learned a lot in an easy and pleasant way. There are enough nice restaurants. And hanging out next to a Roman temple is a great way to relax. Also, I enjoyed the Garden of Cybele. I will definitely come back for a relaxing few days. It is a beautiful place.

Lovely village.

Lovely village. Great location to base for rides around the Alps. Huez obviously, But well placed for Glandon and Madeleine. I was there in the off season on October but still had all the facilities I wanted.

Driving up there was scary, but the village was nice. We went to Bzzz Fast & Fab - Restaurant for a late lunch when nothing else was open and were pleasantly surprised. The food was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. She recommended Le Chamois for dinner which was also great.

Great and plentiful slopes in winter, fabulous restaurants with delicious food. Not too far from several airports with a rented car or even chartered busses. Best breakfast with the most amazing view and store owner/mascot Osis the saucisse is Au bistrot chez les filles. Best pizza is deifinetly at Restaurant La Petite Taverne. Best upper end restaurant dinner is La Cremaillere, absolutely delicious steak plate and fondue pot with a VERY extensive wine selection.

Vaujany is a charming village with nice friendly restaurants and small shops. Although it is located on the side of a steep mountain, there are covered escalators for going up and down. There is free parking, some of which is covered. There is no super market but the Sherpa store has a good selection of food and drink items, although you do pay a bit more. Vaujany has gondola connections to Alpe d'Huez giving you good access to a large skiing area whilst staying in a small compact village.

Grenoble was a welcome relief from the crowds, bikes, and high prices of Annecy! The sites from old town Grenoble are among the best we've seen in European cities - the "bubble" cable car, the Bastille, and all the museums just made our visit wonderful. Be sure your lodging has AC - ours did and it was needed!

We were there for a ski holiday. The runs for beginners are the best I have seen. lots of green runs and a run with a very long covered travelator which was great for our 5 year old. The resort had enough challenging runs for our mixed party. We went at the beginning of January but the elevation of the resort at 1,800M was high enough to get good snow.

My review is not based on this visit but on the several...

My review is not based on this visit but on the several years I lived there . . . Nice town, lots of history, good shopping, good market on Saturdays where you can most of what you want, the Jazz festival (of course), several good restaurants including the Pyramid . . . excellent beyond words, but not for you if you are on a short budget. If Karim still has his Taxi Pizza place, go for it.
