But.. what deserve a 10 out of 10 is the breakfast. This quality is rarely found even in 5 stars hotels. The buffet breakfast is of super high interest.

And the restaurant, where we ate dinner, offered us an excellent culinary experience! The hotel is a calm place to stay in a picturesque town full of history on the river Rhône. I would highly recommend this hotel especially to couples as the atmosphere around this hotel is so serene and relaxing. The spa facilities are amazing - the sauna, steam room and both the indoor and outdoor pools are exceptionally clean. We had the opportunity to stay in the attic rooms, which were so cosy and equipped with all amenities. From the window, there are views of the alps and the surrounding gardens where one could go for a long walk to enjoy this picturesque village. This hotel is ideal for a getaway holiday to relax and unwind and have time to destress.

Our room had an amazing view - it definitely is worth paying the extra couple of EUR. You can hear water running on the river and ‘waterfalls‘ nearby, as well as the church bell - something nice for me, but perhaps others may disagree.
The bathroom was updated and the hotel’s location is excellent. Dinner and breakfast were really good, even if the restaurant’s menu felt a little limited. They organise Museum tours only for guests but we had to leave earlier. There was a temporary art exhibition in the breakfast area.

I had a room with mountain views and it was a really beautiful view that included the golf course and the mountains; it almost looked like a painting.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was quiet and had all that was needed, the bed was comfortable, modern shower, heating in bathroom.
Perfect for travelling by car, as you can park your car in their large parking area right next to the hotel free of charge and access your stuff at any time.

Clean and comfortable good size room. Everything was new, the hotel is right next to the highway so very easy to find. The soundproofing is great so you don't hear any noise and you can get a good rest. If you are trying to visit Grenoble this is definitely not for you as it's in the middle of an industrial estate outside of the city. But if you are looking for a place to get quality rest while you are on the road it's amazing value for money

Everything was an experience.
The staff were incredibly charming and helpful. We were given an upgrade, but honestly anywhere on the complex would have been delightful.
The pool was wonderful as the temperature had reached 32°
We didn't eat in the restaurant (as we had eaten lunch) but we spoke to another guest who said it was superb.
We will return.

The views from the Mountain View rooms are absolutely wonderful with no vis a vis. The rooms are larger than average for French Alp hotels and are comfortable and well organised.
The bar lounge area is cosy, the breakfast great value. Above all, the staff are superb; friendly, helpful, happy - especially Oksana!!

Grenoble is a pleasant university town, a valley town tucked in the Rhone Alps hills; about an hour north east of Lyon. Many nice places to walk to, no need for a car. Restaurants are resonably priced and not over bling bling.
One noticeable feature the city suffers from are homeless people. Similar to Nantes, more local government management and police enforcement is needed for this problem and for the vandalism to cars, especially to those outside of the department and the country. Like Paris, it's becoming more and more a problem for residents and visitors.

Driving up there was scary, but the village was nice. We went to Bzzz Fast & Fab - Restaurant for a late lunch when nothing else was open and were pleasantly surprised. The food was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. She recommended Le Chamois for dinner which was also great.

What surprised us most was how welcoming and relaxed it felt. Rather than being a formal or exclusive resort, it had a warm, comfortable atmosphere that made us feel at home. Even in July, the weather was pleasantly cool and perfect for spending time outdoors.
The breathtaking scenery, charming restaurants, and lovely souvenir shops made it an ideal place to slow down and simply enjoy the surroundings.
It was one of those rare places that we never wanted to leave.

Lovely village.
Lovely village. Great location to base for rides around the Alps. Huez obviously, But well placed for Glandon and Madeleine. I was there in the off season on October but still had all the facilities I wanted.

Great and plentiful slopes in winter, fabulous restaurants with delicious food. Not too far from several airports with a rented car or even chartered busses.
Best breakfast with the most amazing view and store owner/mascot Osis the saucisse is Au bistrot chez les filles.
Best pizza is deifinetly at Restaurant La Petite Taverne.
Best upper end restaurant dinner is La Cremaillere, absolutely delicious steak plate and fondue pot with a VERY extensive wine selection.

One of the biggest strong points of Chamrousse is its accessibility. It is easy to reach, making it ideal for a short getaway or a family holiday. Despite being close to the city, the resort feels peaceful and surrounded by nature, which adds to its charm.
The ski area is well organized and suitable for all levels, from beginners to more experienced skiers. There are plenty of wide, well‑maintained slopes, as well as dedicated areas for children and learners, which makes it especially attractive for families. Off the slopes, the resort also offers a good variety of activities such as snowshoeing, sledging, and walking paths.

Was travelling by motorcycle with 2 friends also both on motorcycles. Reception / checking-in was very efficient and we were offered the use of locked garage at the side of the building to secure our motorcycles out of sight, an offer we gladly took up.
Evening dining options at the hotel are (very) limited comprising of a vending machine & microwave however approx 10-15 walk is a nice steakhouse on the main road.
Breakfast, self-service, was more than adequate with a simple choice but plenty of it.
Would happily stay here again if in the area.

Grenoble's old town is fascinating & city has numerous VG restaurants serving different national cuisines. Great base between 3 mountain ranges, good to escape into as the city is rather air-polluted in high summer.
Substantial and frequent tram system makes getting about very simple.

We found the lower runs back to town were very busy and crowded: best take the lift! Amazing mountain scenery higher up. We ate at Smithies and found it excellent: good food and friendly staff; recommended.Sports centre with climbing wall.
