GreeceWe had book the room for 5 nights, mid September. Our stay was awesome and we highly recommend it. The room has sea view balcony and it is well equipped. Moreover, Stamatis the owner is really friendly and he helped us with useful information about the island. Also, we met the pretty cats that live there and were paying us a visit, and keeping us company. All in all, if you wish to find a quiet place to relax and enjoy Andros, Silver view is the place to be.

United KingdomPerfect spot for a family with two teenage boys. Sunrise was worth getting up for. We stayed for 6 nights and would happily stayed more. Andros town was good value for eating out and all the restaurants we went too exceeding our expectations.
Nikolas was an amazing host telling us where to eat and what to do. He picked us up at the bus stop and dropped us back. Nothing was ever too much bother. Thank you.

Beautiful art deco hotel with newly and tastefully furnished/decorated rooms in white. Nice balcony with furniture. There is plenty of hot water and toiletries in the bathroom, a fridge and kettle with cups, saucers and wine glasses. Exceptional pool area with an abundance of sunbeds, uv parasols, grass, and dappled shade under the trees. Huge pool. There is almost certainly a serviced bar in the pool area in high season, but it was very quiet in the hotel in early June. 10-15 minute walk into the main part of Chora for bars and restaurants and it's a €45-50 taxi from Gavrio port. Very friendly and helpful receptionist who booked restaurant and taxi for us as well as giving good recommendations during our stay.

During my recent stay at Camara Suites in Andros, I was thoroughly impressed by the blend of modern aesthetics and neoclassical elements in this beautifully decorated mansion. A Perfect Combination of Culture and Fun
A favoured weekend destination, the island of Andros is only an hour and a half away from Athens. Named after Andros, a hero descending from the line of God Apollo, this beautiful island features traditional villages, golden beaches, high mountains, small rivers and green valleys.
Featuring great nautical tradition and home to famous Greek sailors, Andros is not similar with any other island in the Cyclades. This small paradise is a great cultural destination thanks to its many museums and their unique collections of paintings, sculptures and archaeological exhibits.
The lovely Chora is the capital of Andros and one of the most popular villages of the island. Wander around the narrow alleys, admire the Neoclassical and Venetian-style houses, and admire the beautiful stone bridge.
Rich in history, the island has several towers including the tower of Ayios Petros and Fryktoria. Built by Venetians, the Pano Kastro was the largest city in Andros during the Middle Ages.
Built over a gorgeous natural harbour, the resort of Batsi has a sandy beach, shallow waters and nice taverns serving local specialties. Booking.com has a great selection of hotels, apartments and guest houses in the magnificent Batsi.

We came to Andros for a little quiet at the end of a busy four week trip to Greece. It was just what we wanted. Paradise Design isn't busy at this time of year. The view was spectacular and we spent a long time sitting on our balcony enjoying the sea. The sunsets were magnificent. Nicholas and his mom were very welcoming. We loved it.

Andros offered us the opportunity to experience the maritime history of the island of Andros. During the inter-war period between WWI and WW2, its family centric sea fairing economy rivaled that of England. Long merchant marine travels were a necessity for this community as embodied in the dramatic film "Little England". Most of the venues & historical residences are located atop of a high bluff with a wide range of eateries and shops. Lovers of architecture will appreciate the old city's winding walkways, where unique doorways greet you at every turn. It is a touristical place with class, far away from the maddening crowds of Mikonos....

It's not a bad place, but I wouldn't stay there for a holiday. We were only there for one night on account of a ban on ferries sailing due to high winds. That being said, it has a good supply of shops, coffee bars, and car hire places. There are two excellent bakeries and a great fresh fish and vegetable shop.

This is an ideal place if you don't like to be in the capital city with a lot of noise and traffic. You are far enough from the street and have your own peace and quiet, and at the same time you are very close to the city where there is entertainment and an active nightlife. Everything you need is in the area, restaurants, shops, beaches etc

The town was wonderful.
The town was wonderful. We arrived early evening on a Saturday. We took an hour or so to unwind and then went into town and it was like there was a festival taking place - a real buzz about the place, with very few non-Greek voices to be heard.
Only thing to be aware of is that, unusually, the Chora is not the ferry port. A taxi from the port takes around 45 minutes and costs about 50 euros. A coach is a cheaper alternative. All ferries seem to be met by a coach but on our return to port the coach timetable wasn't good for us.

Batsi is a charming little waterfront town/village.
Batsi is a charming little waterfront town/village. We loved it's proximity to local restaurants and shops. There are also lots of walks that you can do around the village and beyond the main centre, along the waterfront, or up in the hills.
We loved swimming at the nearby beach and befriending all the cute cats
Having a hire car proved valuable as we were able to go for drives to explore the mountains above the town, and to drive to Chora, about an hour away. There is a lot of great sightseeing to be had, so Batsi is in a perfect location. The locals are friendly and welcoming.

Stayed in gorgeous town of Chora. Absolutely lovely, quiet and beautiful small town. If you're interested in hiking or trial running around there are many beautiful well maintained routes across the island and near by. Beautiful beaches all around, the island is pretty windy so find a smaller ones for a windy days. Explore the small villages and wine estates across the island.

Easy to walk around the town.
Easy to walk around the town. There are plenty of restaurants and eateries. The people were helpful and polite. The bus service allowed you to see other parts of the island without the need to rent a car.
