The place is gorgeous! It's clean, comfortable, equipped with everything that we needed and very clean. Owners are kind and keen to share any details you may need. Place is in incredible location. 10 min from Andros Chora by car and from most known beaches. It has unbelievable view of sea and mountains! Definitely not the last time we stay here.

The apartment is perfectly located right on the Batsi marina, just a short walk from great restaurants, the local bakery, and lovely shops. It’s peaceful and quiet, with a beautiful view of the bay from the balcony. The apartment is stylish, spotless, and fully equipped with everything a family could need. We had a wonderful three-day stay at Porto Gaurio as a couple! The accommodation was comfortable, spotless, and had a warm, pleasant atmosphere – perfect for relaxing. The location is excellent, right next to the port, with everything (cafés, tavernas, shops) within easy walking distance. The hostess was kind, welcoming, and always available if we needed anything. We truly felt at home. We’ll definitely choose it again for a future trip!

Great views across the town from the balcony. Easy walk to the shops and restaurants on the front, but you do need to be OK with steps are there are quite a few flights of steps on the way. There are also steps down to the bedrooms in the house. Comfortable beds with AC in the room. Plenty of toilet/shower availability for a number of guests. Coffee machine and coffee pods on arrival.

Breathtaking view and serene location, a great surrounding landscape to a beautiful, spacious home, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms (2 of them en-suite). My family and I thoroughly enjoyed a comfortable stay at Mrs. Natasha’s place, who was super helpful & welcoming both to us & our family dog! Hopefully we’ll e back soon!

The apartment was perfect, roomy, nicely decorated, with two terraces, one overlooking the pool. The pool is wonderful, one can sit at different spots, really well designed. There are different lounge chairs, some in the shade, all very comfortable. The owner was on site and she is just great. She left cake in the fridge when we told her in passing that our daughter would celebrate her birthday the day after. We were really touched!

A Perfect Combination of Culture and Fun

A favoured weekend destination, the island of Andros is only an hour and a half away from Athens. Named after Andros, a hero descending from the line of God Apollo, this beautiful island features traditional villages, golden beaches, high mountains, small rivers and green valleys.

Featuring great nautical tradition and home to famous Greek sailors, Andros is not similar with any other island in the Cyclades. This small paradise is a great cultural destination thanks to its many museums and their unique collections of paintings, sculptures and archaeological exhibits.

The lovely Chora is the capital of Andros and one of the most popular villages of the island. Wander around the narrow alleys, admire the Neoclassical and Venetian-style houses, and admire the beautiful stone bridge.

Rich in history, the island has several towers including the tower of Ayios Petros and Fryktoria. Built by Venetians, the Pano Kastro was the largest city in Andros during the Middle Ages.

We got a room with a sea view which really exceeded our expectations, we literally never wanted to leave the terrace. During the day you see the see the sea and at night there was a beautiful moon and many stars. We literally woke up with the sound of the waves. The old town was less then 5 minutes away where most of the restaurants and shops were. The owner was super nice and very friendly. He gave us a map of where everything is and he gave recommendations on what is a must see and what we should avoid. We asked him if we can use the hose from the garden to clean up our car but while we were in our room he cleaned the car on his own. I truly recommend this place.

Our experience in Micra Anglia can be summarised in one word: excellent! The property is beautiful and very well maintained, in the city centre of Chora. The staff make all the difference!! Mr. Giorgos, Ioanna and Maria at the reception made our stay exceptional, always ready to assist! They deserve a raise and a promotion! Same goes for the housekeeping and F&B team! Cleanliness is top notch and the cocktails at the bar were exceptional! Will definitely stay again when visiting Andros!

Such lovely hosts, Nicholas picked us up from the ferry (taxi is 15 euro) and gave us a lot of good tips about the island and Batsi. He also arranged a rental car for us. Andros is beautiful in the spring, very green, lots of flowers, great to explore with a car. Batsi is a lovely village with a couple of good restaurants like Stamatis and Oti Kalo. We had a great time. Thanks so much, dear Nico & family!

The owners were warm, welcoming, friendly and very open to communication. The appartment was within walking distance to the town which was very convenient and practical. The appartment was equipped with all the essential utilities and the room was cleaned on a daily basis. I would highly recomended the studio appartments for people looking for a peaceful and exclusive get away.

This was the most amazing and comfortable stay we ever had on a geek island! Great location, only a five minute walk to chora. Our room (suite) was wonderful, very spacious and the view was one of a kind, especially in the early morning and towards the evening hours. The host, Demetrios, was very professional and always ready to help/ guide us. Overall a wonderful experience!

Perfect location to access the sandy beaches across the street. We spent all our time at Kaliva Beach Lounge. Miss Irene was warm and welcoming and provided a great breakfast every morning. Each day was something new- a special bread or a different egg dish. They really do make an effort for a nice start to the day.

Lots of bars and restaurants on the waterfront, two good beaches in the town. One large-ish supermarket on the main road, more than sufficient to provide supplies for a self-catering stay. Good location to explore the rest of the island.

It is a beautiful, picturesque place . People were great as hosts. We booked a taxi to see all the little villages of Andros. His number is given below as he was very informative, helpful and let us take our own time at all points. Mr Wakhi +306947971925. Do avail of his services for a pleasant tour of Andros.

Easy to walk around the town.

Easy to walk around the town. There are plenty of restaurants and eateries. The people were helpful and polite. The bus service allowed you to see other parts of the island without the need to rent a car.

This is an ideal place if you don't like to be in the capital city with a lot of noise and traffic. You are far enough from the street and have your own peace and quiet, and at the same time you are very close to the city where there is entertainment and an active nightlife. Everything you need is in the area, restaurants, shops, beaches etc

Batsi is a charming seaside village with lovely views of harbour. I would recommend 2 nights as there is not much to do unless you are happy to spend the whole day on beach and eating at restaurants. October is end of season so most of shops and restaurants are closed on the island. We took a bus to Cora on the first day which was very scenic and the town (capital) is worth a visit.

We liked the town, its pedestrian main street, and...

We liked the town, its pedestrian main street, and atmosphere in the evenings (when the local children "take over" the main square for games). It therefore seems less touristy than Batsi or Gavrion. There are lots of places to eat (usually well). However, it is probably best to have accommodation just outside Chora (maybe next to the sea) and go into it as needed. There is a lovely beach a few miles to the south which was empty most of the time. Chora (and the rest of Andros) is probably very busy June to August.

We had a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The host’s attention was clear, friendly, and very welcoming. Pantelis gave us great recommendations for different places to visit. We truly wanted to stay longer and would definitely come back. The house was very comfortable and perfect for 6–7 people. It’s located close to town (just 5 minutes), but you do need a car to move around easily. We will come back soon for sure!

We lived near Batsi for 31 years.

We lived near Batsi for 31 years. It is a lovely little village with some very good tavernas and cafes, although there are now far too many cocktail bars. Andros island is lovely with excellent beaches and hiking trails but avoid August when the island almost sinks under the weight of thousands of visitors, mainly from Athens. Generally speaking, the island has managed to remain unspoilt by excessive tourism. The local people are very friendly and welcoming.
