The staff treat us excellently, the picked us up in Gavdos port and transfer is to the hotel which is really close. We rented a scooter there which make us stay in Gavdos unbelievable. Another thing to highlight is the food, EVERYTHING was delicious. Maybe the best place to stay in the island.

Due to the cancellation of the Ferry from Sfakia, I was unable to get there for the days I had booked. John the owner told me I could re book for the following week - he had vacancies and it was free of charge which was very decent of him. (It must be the Irish blood in him) Mr Mello the caretaker was very friendly and helpful also. Great place to stay. Local bus stops outside complex. Walking distance to Sarakiniko beach with restaurants bars etc. Would recommend staying here. Keep up the good work John and your team.

We had an incredibly comfortable stay in Gavdos, made even better by the warm and friendly owners. Our visit was brief, just two nights with our young children (both under 5), but it left a lasting impression. Unfortunately, one of our daughters fell ill on the second night, which meant we couldn't fully enjoy everything the property had to offer. However, the owners were exceptionally helpful and supportive during this time, which made all the difference. We highly recommend this place for a relaxing and welcoming experience.

We loved everything. Giorgos is a fantastic host that took such good care of us. His place is brand-new and constantly improving. Don’t pay any attention to other comments claiming there is no electricity. There is in fact as well as air conditioning, hot water, and many other ammenities you wouldn’t even imagine coming to an island like Gavdos. And, of course, the dogs ❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely the **creme de la creme** of accommodation in Kastri, Gavdos! We only stayed for a couple of nights, but it was the perfect balm for our souls, especially when our little one came down with gastroenteritis, and I, in turn, caught the bug. This gem is nestled right on the edge of the forest, with a trail leading directly to Ampelos beach. Imagine stepping out your door and into a hiking adventure that ends with your toes in the sand. The view? Spectacular. You're treated to a panoramic vista of the sea and the island, soaking in those authentic Aegean vibes. If we ever return to Gavdos, this spot is non-negotiable. Ari the agreeable on-site manager set out coffee, milk, butter, honey and fresh bread from nearby Stella's bakery every morning on the big table and invariably stayed to chat away in English. In fact it was Ari's hospitality, friendship and willingness to provide any small extras a guest might wish for that made our stay at Kalypso Studios much more than we expected.
