Maria and her mum are very helpful, kind and friendly. The terrace overlooking the sea, shaded by a couple of trees, is a nice place to have your coffee while watching the sunrise. The Metochi is literally on the bus stop but, because the hotel is located in the centre of the island, it is possible to walk to every beach in about 1 or 2h depending on the beach. The taverna serves good authentic Greek food at reasonable prices.

Due to the cancellation of the Ferry from Sfakia, I was unable to get there for the days I had booked. John the owner told me I could re book for the following week - he had vacancies and it was free of charge which was very decent of him. (It must be the Irish blood in him) Mr Mello the caretaker was very friendly and helpful also. Great place to stay. Local bus stops outside complex. Walking distance to Sarakiniko beach with restaurants bars etc. Would recommend staying here. Keep up the good work John and your team.

Hmm at least unbelivable. Maria, Nikos and Family doing all the best to make your stay comfortable. It starts with the very warm welcome goes on with the tranquility you get when you stay in one of the rooms with breathtaking views over the sea and ends with the fantastic food they serve in the taverna. It was unbelievably gorgeous and so so peaceful. The island is paradise on earth, and the people, especially the host, were insanely nice and welcoming. Gavdos, and Exoristoi, is a place to come back to again and again, because of the beauty and the amazing energy of the place and the people. Our room was exactly what we imagined, and to be able to see the sun rising above the sea through our window, was something to remember.

Absolutely the **creme de la creme** of accommodation in Kastri, Gavdos! Great location!! Literally a few steps from our doorstep to the sea! A tavern with deliciously prepared fresh fish and veggies from a garden in front of our room!! Great fava and vlita, fried squid, all cooked near perfection. Not for the fancy gourmet lovers, perfect for those that know the true taste of traditional food. Gavdos and Akrogiali definitely surpassed our expectations!
