The hotel is wonderful but the owner and staff are incredible! Warm, welcoming and hospitable, as if they were opening the doors to their home with all of the comforts you need. The location is ideal, just a short walk the Main Street, museum, train station and town square. The homemade breakfast was OUTSTANDING! Fresh, varied, satisfying. We can’t wait to visit again.

We enjoyed very much the comfort of our apartment and the fireplace. The owners are very friendly and wished we felt good at all times. They even catered for my dietary restrictions during breakfast and I thank them very much for this! Dimitra is always happy to recommend all sorts of beautiful spots of touristic interest if needed.

While Kalavryta has a troubling history, it's a wonderful area, rich in natural beauty, with plenty to do outdoors, and many taverna/eateries to choose from. Do stop at the museum in the village center.

The town is a tourist base.
The town is a tourist base. Not particularly interesting or pleasant. We only went for the railway trip, but unfortunately it was cancelled on the two days we were there, due to falling rocks on the line. This doesn't happen very often apparently...we were just unlucky. There are cave lakes to visit but we didn't do that. The car journey to the town is wonderful both ways - from Dimitsana and Diakopto.
