If you are looking for a comfortable clean tasteful small hotel to stay in kalavryta do not look any further! This is the best one honestly! The owners are an adorable young couple who are willing to run the extra mile to give you anything you might need even before you ask for it! Their efforts towards sustainability are highly appreciated by my family! The quality of the handmade natural soaps for body and hair really impressed me! Worth mentioning also the fantastic breakfast full of high quality local products. I loved the fact that it was served and not offered as a buffet! Dimitra was refilling everything we wanted and this gives a more personal touch and a feeling that you are well taken care of! We will definitely come back and we highly recommend alpine Aria!

Amazing views and Stavroula and Christos were fantastic hosts! We enjoyed the peacefulness and tranquility. Accommodations are modern and comfortable with zen like decor. The outdoor space offers immaculate landscaping, pool, picnic area, etc. Several unique touches - I particularly liked the two lifelike ducks in the pool. Rooms have self serving breakfast (fruit, cake, yogurt, granola, coffee and tea) available all day with room service in the morning! We will definitely go back!!!

The town is a tourist base.

The town is a tourist base. Not particularly interesting or pleasant. We only went for the railway trip, but unfortunately it was cancelled on the two days we were there, due to falling rocks on the line. This doesn't happen very often apparently...we were just unlucky. There are cave lakes to visit but we didn't do that.The car journey to the town is wonderful both ways - from Dimitsana and Diakopto.

Lovely town with wide spaces, friendly people and some compelling history attached to it from the Holocaust and the Greek Independence . Great meal at a local restaurant that was delicious and very traditional. Unfortunately it is difficult to get around without a car and taxis are way too expensive. To get to Ayia Lavra which is 4 kms away they wanted 20 euro up and back. In the end we didn't go to any monastery. They should have buses that go up and back, at least during the tourist season

Kalavrita is a gorgeous town with lots of Greek History...

Kalavrita is a gorgeous town with lots of Greek History important sites, amazing nature walks and hike, lovely very affordable food and welcoming people. Even if you don't ski, as it is known for the ski resort, there are lots of things to enjoy. I will definitely revisit as 3 days at Kalavrita were barely enough.
