The breakfast was amazing. The hotel was always immaculate. It was close to the beach, restaurants and coffee bars an easy 2 block walk in Therma but the hotel was quiet and serene.

AustraliaAlitini and Demetrios the hosts of Hotel Asteria are amazing. The room was cosy and comfortable with a view from the balcony of the town and mountains. There is a big lounge/breakfast area to sit and watch TV plus a lovely verandah with tables and chairs. I chose Asteria because it was the only accommodation I could find that served breakfast. There's a short walk to the beach and thermal pool, and at the end of their street is a road that leads over the mountain to Agios Kirikos with great views of the coastline, Turkey and about six islands on a clear day.

We had a wonderful stay in this amazing place with breathtaking views. Just 10 minutes from Agios Kyrikos, yet far from all the noise, it offered exactly the peace and quiet we were looking for. The sunrise from the beach, only a 2-minute walk from the apartment, was unforgettable – perfect for an early morning swim.
The apartment was comfortable, well-equipped, and had a spacious terrace where we enjoyed spending time. Relaxing there with a book in complete peace was indescribable – you truly adopt the island’s rhythm. Towels were changed every two days and the beds were made daily. The staff was exceptionally kind and served a delicious breakfast on the terrace every morning.
At night, the starry sky was spectacular – we could even see the Milky Way. Since the island is accessible only by car, the shaded parking on site was very convenient. Beautiful beaches are also nearby.
This was the perfect choice for us, as we wanted to stay away from the crowds and enjoy a relaxing, authentic atmosphere. Highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed in a large unit (Eliana I think) with a separate bedroom and large living area with full kitchen. Which was extremely helpful as my husband had to work odd hours remotely and there was plenty of room so I wasn't woken.
Our two children stayed in a smaller villa, which backed onto ours, (no internal access, it is rented separately). They had combined kitchen bedroom room, and separate bathroom. Daughter slept in the large bed, son was very comfortable on the roomy couch bed.
The units were indeed airy. They were calm clean and I felt very very relaxed there. It was easy living.
Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Bathrooms lovely. Everything was so clean. Kitchens were well kitted out, full stove and fridge.
We enjoyed walking down to Christos Raches in the mornings and evenings.
I have had some lovely experiences and met some lovely people while staying in Ikaria, but for blissful physical comfort this was my favourite accommodation.

I have come to Kerame with my family and also twice with my children (now 3.5 and 7.5 years old) we love Ikaria and we love Kerame. It is a perfect family hotel (watch the steps though!) with pool and terraces off the room. The staff are so kind. Great breakfast and very good food in the little terrace that we can eat on our terrace (big bonus with small kids) we will come back every year! Love from Syros!

Maria our host was excellent. She was really friend ly & helpful trying to find out about the bus to Evdilos. When we couldn't clarify with anyone in town, she booked us a taxi. She very nicely gave us some tips about tides and pitfalls in Mykonos the next leg of our tour. The shower was excellent. Some extra folding furniture provided to enable you to eat in your room/ on the balcony & dry swimwear.

Stella and Stefanos are the best hosts ever. They are very friendly and very thoughtful. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. Our suite was very well-equipped; it had everything guests might possibly need during their stay. And everything was sparkling clean. We had a great stay!

One of the best vacation stays ever, and we've had a lot of them. Beautifully designed, gorgeously landscaped, lovingly tended, and a view you can't even find on a postcard. Costas is a marvelous host, and breakfast is well worth the extra €15.

The small port town of Agios Kirykos it's a nice,...
The small port town of Agios Kirykos it's a nice, picturesque place... It's got a little something for everyone and stays alive late in the night, even in extra season.
The short walk along the coast takes you to the village of Therma for a dip into the thermal waters - about 20 minutes, no luggage. It's a beautiful walking path!

Don't go to Ikeria for beaches and the archetypal tourist stuff because you will probably be disappointed. The feel of the island remains close to its roots - simple but great food presented to perfection, a history to enjoy, absorb and take away in one's mind's eye. The people exhibit the traits for which Greek island populations may be justifiably proud.

A small village at the northwestern part of the island. It's definitely nice for a couple of days but after that there's nothing much to do there. Good location though if you're planning to explore the inner part of the island and the Raches villages.

Fanari is 15 minutes from the main port of Agios Kirykos and has lovely beach called Faros with some charming tavernas and a cafe right on the beach . The views of the sea and neighbouring islands are lovely and the beach is calm and cool .

Traditional Greek environment. A few cute restraunts and cafes. Cute beaches and adorable little port great from snorkeling. There is a boat that takes you to Agia Kyrikos a few times per week and another for Seychelles beach daily.

We loved our stay in Raches...the village was very friendly...excellent food at both restaurants...all the locals were very friendly...we had coffee in the square each morning...got bread from the baker straight out of the oven. There was plenty to do in the area...we visited a beautiful old church and also drove to the beach for a lovely afternoon

Evdhilos is a nice small town.
Evdhilos is a nice small town. It offers some basic facilities: some restaurants, cafés and minimarkets. There are also several (4?) car rentals.
Being on an island with few inhabitants and not too much tourism, it of course does not have the same facilities as some other places.

The area is peaceful and tranquil. perfect if you just want to be away and enjoy some relaxation. There is a bus connection with the bigger area for the nightlife, the port for connections with Athens or with the Fourni islands and just for some food/leisure.
