While a lot of choices for breakfast, the quality was not exceptional. However, the staff and dining room manager (Vasili, I think was his name), were amazing!

Fantastic location to explore Olympia Central with good sized rooms,beautiful pool and wonderful top floor restaurant for breakfast with a view. A wonderful stay !!!

We felt privileged, and we sincerely thank the entire restaurant team for the professional way they treated us. The outdoor pool, surrounded by greenery, adds an extra touch of relaxation, while the overall atmosphere of the hotel makes you feel like a welcome guest in a large and friendly home, rather than just a tourist in a lodging facility. Amalia Hotel successfully blends modern comfort with the subtle fragrance of Olympia’s history, offering each guest the chance to live an authentic, serene, and unforgettable experience. It is a place you leave with difficulty, but one you are happy to know you will return to.

I needed a budget priced room that was clean, safe and secure in Olympia for an overnight stay on my 13 year old daughters and my Peloponnese mini tour. This place is perfect as its like converted rooms (e.g Blackpool) in the building above a taverna but the Father and Son team are amazing, it offers everything you need, 10 minute walk into the town and site, parking outside, petrol station and supermarket almost opposite. We only needed somewhere to shower and sleep and we are so glad we stayed here. If we, or you for that matter are ever passing the area again I wouldn't think twice about booking. Why spend £100 on a room per night when we didn't spend that for the room, evening meal, souvenirs and visiting the Olympia site. Communication and checking in was simple, water in the room on arrival, clean and tidy, comfy beds, brilliant AC, and quick and easy booking and check in. On leaving I went to find the son to shake his hand and say thank you and he rushed out with some water melon for my daughter that was bigger than my head, Real Greek hospitality for less than £40 per night. It just makes perfect sense.

Location, breakfast, staff, rooms, parking... everything was excellent. This is probably the best value for money hotel I've ever been to.

A very good accommodation for those who want to stay close to the center of Ancient Olympia. It is quiet, clean and has a family atmosphere. The staff was excellent, always willing to help. Although the bathrooms are small, the rich breakfast and the overall experience make the stay unforgettable

Very kind hosts (both the landlady and the landlord). Great breakfast! A lot of food (coffee, tea, bread, marmalade, butter, honey, eggs), and additionally the landlord prepared four sandwiches for our trip (we were two cyclists), very appreciated by us!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. The building itself is full of old-world charm — traditional architecture, beautiful details, and a cozy, timeless atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at home. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet, with a balcony overlooking the picturesque village and lush mountains. Waking up to the sound of birds and the fresh scent of the forest was a true reset from city life. Location-wise, it’s perfect for exploring the area: close to the Temple of Apollo Epicurius, beautiful hiking trails, and local tavernas where time seems to stand still. If you’re tired of generic hotels and want a genuine experience full of warmth, tradition, don’t think twice — Theoxenia is a rare find. We can’t wait to go there again.

Charming, functional spaces, excellent and helpful staff

The pool as there’s a lovely breeze and v comfy subbed. The staff are very attentive and friendly.

The hotel is ideally located right in front of the beach. It’s calm, quiet and had a beautiful view to the sea. They also have a parasol and loungers reserved for each room. The breakfast is very nice and you can enjoy it on a small balcony, also with a a view to the sea. The staff were very kind and discreet.
