The place is very clean and well taken care of with a spacious for 3 persons shaded balcony to spend your relaxation time, close to the port, the market, the nightlife and many of the famous island beaches. The setting is tranquil, far removed from the hustle and noise of the port and the rest of the busy areas.
Its intimate size gives the feeling of staying in a private villa — we often had the pool entirely to ourselves.
The hosts, Haris and Robbie, are truly exceptional: warm, engaging, and incredibly accommodating in a way that is rare to find.

We had the best time at Spathi suites this august. The location was perfect for us - beautiful and quiet with clear water in a sheltered cove. The set up of the suites is very relaxed and rooms are clean and cozy, right on the beach. We loved the restaurant and would recommend the Greek dishes as these were delicious. All the staff were exceptionally welcoming and polite and ensured we enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was exceptional. The staff were friendly and heedful, and the location was peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The apartments were fully equipped with everything we needed, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We also loved the pool – it was fantastic! I'd highly recommend this place to those who are looking for some rest and tranquillity.

A very relaxed and welcoming stay, regularly cleaned and just a short walk from an excellent beach. Car parking was also available on the well maintained site. A genuine two bedroom apartment too,with two rooms and a separate kitchen.

The best place in Kea to spend holidays. Very beautiful view, silence, delicious breakfast. I would like to spend all my summer here. Very polite and hospital family and very cute dog Pablo. Highly recommend!

What I love about Korissia is that is a small port with...
What I love about Korissia is that is a small port with everything you need around you. I also love how it sets the rhythm of the day. Life begins early in the morning with the first boat coming or going from the island, shop keepers opening their shops, the first Kalimera (good morning) floating around in the air.
We visited late June and it was beautifully quiet - not too many people but also not too few. We were lucky in terms of the weather as there was a constant lovely breeze call Meltemi and I could sit for hours in a coffee shop reading my book, watch the world go by but most importantly stare at the glorious sea just in front of me.
In the evening the place comes alive with people strolling, dinning in good quality and diverse restaurants and tavernas and children were happily playing outdoors.
We had no car, so being in Korissia everything was within walking distance. We could even walk to Gialiskari beach or book a taxi from the local firm which provided a great service.
Overall, Korissia is a lovely and comfortable little port that can be used as base for exploring Kea’s beauty and everything the island has to offer to its visitors.

Koundoros is considered upscale, with nice modern villas and 'civilized' guests. The beach there is organized and nice, same with the beach bar/restaurant. But for someone with a car (ideally 4x4 SUV) and a flair for adventure, I would recommend visiting the wilder beaches in Spathi or Orkos...

A Charming village for having quiet holidays , there are a few restaurants with good food and friendly people :) there are several good beaches in Kea but you need a car to visit them , quiet , small beaches with great food and crystal clear water :)

Early september was great to stay a week! It wasn't busy since it was off-season and the 2, Otzias Kouzina and Taverna of Anna, are excellent places to eat and should be easily walkable from any of the places to stay in the area.
Near the center and right side of the beach looking out to sea there is more sand and less stone so is better to swim at.

You have to have a car to travel there because there are dirty roads with no public transport. Xyla beach is the most beautiful beach in the island, but you have to have your own umbrella or you have to pay 20-25 Eur per day if you want to have sunbeds and umbrella. There are not so many people like in other beaches of the island, so it is quite calm there during the day.

Although not the typical white-washed cycladic village, it is still a comfortable ferry port that turns into a pedestrian area once the last ferry is gone or parked for the night, giving the opportunity to families with small kids to enjoy the stroll. It is packed with cafeterias, cozy restaurants, music bars. It also has some nice shops, a pharmacy, travel agencies etc.

We spent a week here with friends and it was absolutely perfect. The view from the infinity pool is incredible - watching the sunset over the Aegean Sea was unforgettable.
The villa has everything you could want - spacious bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and amazing outdoor spaces. The host was exceptional, really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.
Every detail is perfectly thought out, from the luxury furnishings to the pool bar. The location in Koundouros is ideal - peaceful but close to beautiful beaches.
This was more than just accommodation, it was a real experience. We're already planning to come back!

We were staying a few twisty miles from the main town which is a very interesting place on a steep hill and with almost no traffic - the streets and alley ways are just too narrow. Although we were there at the end of the season there were still a few good restaurants open

Melissaki is an area on Kea island that has a few nice hotels and some really beautiful beaches. The road leading to Melissaki from the port and going around the area is a dirt road, however, which can get really bumpy for a typical vehicle and awfully tiring for a visitor who is trying to enjoy their vacation time there. Hence, it is an area to visit and not to stay at.
