SingaporeIt is a wonderful place in a nice location run by people who really care about their property and their guests. The rooms are exceptionally clean with very comfortable beds, and the bathroom has a big shower that can fit a full-sized person, which is a rarity in island hotels. The resident house cat is the sweetest little thing and we fell in love. She tried to follow me all the way onto the ferry. I told her I will come back.

Hotel rooms had all the facilities we were looking for, plenty of space, good kitchenette, great shower etc. The location was quiet but close to the taverna, beach and ice cream shop. There were plenty of tables and chairs and sun loungers around the pool that you could use for shade, sunbathing, cocktails etc and the gardens were in full bloom. Lots of care has been taken over the indoor and outdoor space.

We loved the place, it was super clean, perfect for couples who want to relax and enjoy the island of kea.
The sunsets were amazing at the pool, we got really good recommendations from the hosts and everything was perfect.

The view from our terrace was absolutely stunning, everything was being cleaned, the breakfast was including a few options and we enjoyed that it wasn’t everything sweet, plus the host and staff were really sweet and helpful.

The best place in Kea to spend holidays. Very beautiful view, silence, delicious breakfast. I would like to spend all my summer here. Very polite and hospital family and very cute dog Pablo. Highly recommend!

Although not the typical white-washed cycladic village, it is still a comfortable ferry port that turns into a pedestrian area once the last ferry is gone or parked for the night, giving the opportunity to families with small kids to enjoy the stroll. It is packed with cafeterias, cozy restaurants, music bars. It also has some nice shops, a pharmacy, travel agencies etc.

A Charming village for having quiet holidays , there are a few restaurants with good food and friendly people :) there are several good beaches in Kea but you need a car to visit them , quiet , small beaches with great food and crystal clear water :)

Early september was great to stay a week!
Early september was great to stay a week! It wasn't busy since it was off-season and the 2, Otzias Kouzina and Taverna of Anna, are excellent places to eat and should be easily walkable from any of the places to stay in the area.
Near the center and right side of the beach looking out to sea there is more sand and less stone so is better to swim at.

We spent a week here with friends and it was absolutely perfect. The view from the infinity pool is incredible - watching the sunset over the Aegean Sea was unforgettable.
The villa has everything you could want - spacious bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and amazing outdoor spaces. The host was exceptional, really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.
Every detail is perfectly thought out, from the luxury furnishings to the pool bar. The location in Koundouros is ideal - peaceful but close to beautiful beaches.
This was more than just accommodation, it was a real experience. We're already planning to come back!

Orkos is an ok beach for Cycladic standards.
Orkos is an ok beach for Cycladic standards. It has a stone shelf running the length of the beach right at the shore break, so it's tricky to get in. Definitely not good for toddlers. Also, wavy when northerly winds blow, which is most of the Aegean summer days, again problematic with any child under 10, I'd say.
The beach is at the road's end, so stay elsewhere if planning to drive around, eat out, see sights, etc.

A cosy family run hotel overlooking the beach and the port - we had a corner room with a balcony offering both views. A very good bed and mattress which we enjoyed after a whole day travelling and gave us a good night’s sleep! Breakfast was healthy and good with enough choice. The staff were friendly even at the end of the season - we were the last guests to leave and the hotel was closing down for the winter!

We were staying a few twisty miles from the main town which is a very interesting place on a steep hill and with almost no traffic - the streets and alley ways are just too narrow. Although we were there at the end of the season there were still a few good restaurants open

It lacks character and a town centre with no shops and only one restaurant ,though there is plenty to do with transport with plenty of beaches in the area, as well as hikes- one leading to an ancient settlement behind a good beach.

Very quiet and not a lot to do but very peaceful and restful. Lots of walking trails but not easy to access. Local buses very infrequent. Lovely place for a quiet rest. Local people very nice and friendly.
