We made it hard to book the ferry ... at a very last time. She booked it for us. I was so distracted during the last evening that I forgot my wallet there. You know what ? Soula did everything for me. I took my wallet in Evia the same day thanks to her and her close relationship with the company.
About our stay : a fantastic appartment with 2 spacious rooms perfect for we and our 2 children, and a large terrace facing the sea and the port of Linaria. Beds very comfortable, 2 bathrooms ... high class standing.
Only one regret : we stayed there such a short time. Next time will be a longer time.

A wonderful hotel, especially for families. We stayed for four nights in an exceptionally nice room that was perfect for our family of five. It was a two-bedroom apartment with two queen-size beds and a single bed, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchenette, and an adorable small dining area. The room was very comfortable for our family and beautifully decorated in a traditional style.
The owners are a lovely family who run the hotel with passion and care. Although the hotel offers room-only accommodation, every morning we were served a handmade Greek breakfast plate from the owner.
Logistically, Girismata beach with golden sand is 5-10 minutes walking distance. Bakery is also 10 minutes away.
We had a great stay at Patriko and found it to be excellent value for money.

A great pension about 1.5k from Skyros port. Located in a small bay, a calm , pretty place with great swimming. Accommodation nothing short of perfect. The owners are very smiley and welcoming. My daughter fell ill, at 1.30 in the morning Mrs Manolos offered to drive anywhere we needed, what fantastic people:)).
Small downside, only 1 cafe/restaurant nearby. However the good cooking facilities makes up for that.

The room and the bathroom were excellent. The space was big, very clean, relaxing. The decoration was respectful of the island aesthetics. The bed was comfortable. Excellent wifi connection. The swimming pool and the swimming pool space was big and not loaded. You felt like you could breathe and let go. Beautiful gardens around the apartments. Very good value for money. It really felt like holidays.

The location was perfect, very close to the beach and very close to Chora. The staff and the owner of the property were very helpful, polite and discreet. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The tavern located right next to the property serves delicious Greek food and excellent Greek coffee. It was, overall, an amazing experience! Highly recommended!!!

From the very first second we arrived the staff was super polite and helpful. Rooms were very clean and it really felt like home. View from the balcony was really rewarding! Will definitely visit again! Loved the location as well as the island! Highly recommended.

I loved the folklore museum and driving around the island.
I loved the folklore museum and driving around the island. Strangely, we seemed to get lost a lot there. We ate a a wonderful roadside taverna on our way to Linaria to catch the ferry back to Kymi. The village in Skyros is enjoyable to see and I loved running to the windmill as the sun was rising.

Lovely beaches, hospitality and tavernas.
Molos beach is the best.
Kalimistas beach is worth a visit.
Asterias taverna is the best place to eat in Molos a d on the beach.

The best part is that it is still local and peaceful and not...
The best part is that it is still local and peaceful and not over touristy because it does not have international airport and is not the closest from the islands to take a ferry to, so even in Summer months it is not too crowded other than maybe a couple of main streets during evening dinner time. In peak season you can still find beaches almost just for yourself and plenty of room even in the most popular easy access ones.
Also, a very good thing that in the heat of the Summer it is one of those places in Greece that is remarkably cooler due to its location: if mainland is 35, it is only 30 etc. Now that the Summers are getting way too hot, it is a very positive thing.
You can stay in a popular restaurant hearing just Greek and seeing just locals, so it feels authentic.
It is also interestingly diverse, because the South is try and sunkissed, the North is lush, so you get many worlds in one place. There are secret gems like a beach with the shipwreck but even that you get just for yourself.
If looking for beach life, just be aware of the wind direction as the waves get pretty big if you are on the "wrong side" and beach if the weather is windier. Google or ask the locals to go to a calmer bay then.
