I loved everything about this lovely pension and beautiful island.
Staying at Fotini Symi center pension was an amazing experience.
I booked in advance room number 1. It has its own private balcony with an amazing view on the city and hills.
Everything which is necessary. Fridge with 2 bottles of water. Coffee sugar and a water boiler. Comfortable beds. Lovely Greek Islands decorations. The wall painting is so Nice. The Air condition works perfectly. And you don't really need it during the day. The room stays fresh.
You got soap shampoo and shower gel as well.
The location is just 2 minutes from the lovely harbor. Plenty of restaurants around of course.
AND Fotini the owner is a wonderful person. She is the kind of lady that make you love her beautiful country and people! She does surely know what is about welcoming guests. She was so helpful. Gave me tips to enjoy my stay doing a day cruise around the island. Ask her!!!
She even gave me a little Greek gift that I'll keep for ever.
Help me with my luggage as I had back pain after climbing to the History museum on the top of the island.
We brought me to a lovely coffee place on my last day.
What can I say more..

I have visited Kokona hotel twice, and I think it is one of the best hotel on a Greek island for the following reasons:
- a nice family hotel in the heart of Symi. Yet, it is in a quiet street at a short walking distance from the supermarket and from the harbour where speedboats bring you to the beaches.
- Excellent price / quality ratio.
- Welcoming owners from the family Kokona who are friendly.
- Rooms have been refurbished recently and are comfortable. They are quite small but functional, and nicely decorated. Cleanliness is optimal. Rooms have balconies on the upper floor.
- Delicious outdoor breakfast under a veranda with a view on the Orthodox church on the hill (you pick your choices on a menu the night before).

The host (Panos) was extremely helpful, thoughtful and always available. The accomodation exceeded largely our expectations. We booked a room but it looked more like a small appartment with the best imaginable hotel services. They thought of everyhting: kit with toothbrush, sponges, machine to make frappe...everything you could eventually think of was provided in the room. On top of it there was a complementary breakfast, snacks and bottle of wine in the fridge which was not indicated, nor expected. The balcony was very beautiful with straight harbour/sea view and lovely to enjoy the breakfast and apero (evening sun). Thank you for this fantastic stay, next time we'll stay longer!

Beautiful Studio style room which was authentic and had lovely views. It was a nice size for 2 people. The location was absolutely beautiful, there are a lot of steps to get to the Hotel but it is a stunning walk via the steps.

Very nice location a little further from the louder marina and bars. The property has a lot of character it is tastefully and carefully decorated. The manager Carlo and the rest of the staff was very kind and helpful. It had a nice and peaceful ambiance.

The location is perfect and the hotel is very nice. I liked the courtyard with the cats. The room was clean and comfortable. There is no reception, but the communication is very good. It's a a nice place to stay if you come to Symi.

Beautiful island with amazing Italianate architecture. Lots of wonderful, reasonably priced eateries. Everywhere felt safe in terms of very low crime. But beware that there are few beaches within walking distance of the main town. You have to rely on ferry taxis and they don't run after about October 18th. I can imagine it gets so much busier everywhere in mid-season and maybe it is not as relaxing as we found it at the end of the year.

I'd absolutely recommend symi it's a beautiful island ,stunning even. If I could give one piece of advice it would be to go for a few days not just a day boat trip from Rhodes. To fully appreciate this little island you really do need to spend at least one night this would allow you to at least be able to explore the old town above the harbour with its very steep and narrow lanes plus two or three excellent restaurants.Be aware that that the old town above the harbour is accessible via extremely steep stairways extremely steep.

Charming island with beautiful harbor and authentic village...
Charming island with beautiful harbor and authentic village on top of it. Beautiful beaches, scattered all around the island. Some of them reachable by bus, taxi or on foot, others are reachable by taxi boat.
Love Agios Nikolaos and fish tavern on it with fresh wild fish, love swimming from Agia Marina to small island with the little church there.
Of course, Agios Georgios is incredible place.
The island is not for mass tourism, of course the boats come during a day, but most of them are not staying overnight.
Some wildlife - spotted seal on the beach in Nimborio, and the other person saw turtles on Marathounda beach.
Excellent taverna Tholos, close to port, our long time favorite, also liked a lot Zoe and Kali strata in the village.
And for a Christian, it is a must to visit both Archangel Michael monasteries - Panormitis (newer) and Roukouniotis (older) with frescoes that date back to 15th century. Also, for an Orthodox a surprise visit to Sergii Sarovski church.
