GermanyWe had a great few days in Symi. We took the ferry from Rhodes, got picked up by the hotel and also dropped off once we had to leave again which was very convenient. All staff were extremely helpful and kind and there for any questions. Pictures met reality. If you are interested in not staying in Symi's port area itself but a bit more isolated, then Pedi beach is a good choice. There is a bus for 2€ into town running every hour until 10pm but you can also rent scooters, quads or cars. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to relax!

We have traveled a lot with our family but never experienced this warm and heartfelt service and kindness that they show you at Niirides! The place is stunning, I could go down and have a morning swim at the quiet beach ever day! So peaceful! But what makes this hotel top notch and wonderful is definitely the people working there, everyone- the driver, the receptionist, the cleaner, the chef and the all the staff are true stars and we will remember them all they made our holiday unforgettable!Thank you for lovely days!

Great location.. a 2 minute small climb from the port area .Beautiful views . Secluded but central. Marvelous. Host Carlos was professional and polite and very attentive. Waiter Daniel was lovely and such a professional. Spotlessly clean and tasty well presented breakfasts . We stayed in the Arabian Room. The whole place was an oasis of calm and comfort! Lovely room , lovely decor and facilities and most importantly..lovely people.

First of all the host was so helpful - even before my arrival he helped me with an ferry cancelation issue.
At my arrival he offered important information about the island.
The place is central. Very cosy and well equipped. Clean and comfortable. A balcony and in addition cosy sitting corners outside.
I will be happy to come back next time I visit Symi.

Best host ever! He will pick you up from the port, take you around and show you where to go and how to get around the island. Listen to him, you won't regret it.
Great apartments, nice view, there is a table at the entrance. It's cool in the morning and evening and you can drink coffee there.

Fantastic view from the room and the breakfast area; very relaxing
The location is perfect around the corner from the village cafes, still very quiet; cannot imagine a better location in Symi ( an island to fall in love with)

We had such a lovely stay at Odyssia. The apartment was so nice and the view from it was breathtaking. Lovely Katholiki welcomed us here and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Definitely coming back again someday.

The breakfast had a great range of different types of foods, all well cooked. Rooms were cleaned every day. Staff very friendly and helpful. And having the pool was great too come back to after a day out

Beautiful island with amazing Italianate architecture.
Beautiful island with amazing Italianate architecture. Lots of wonderful, reasonably priced eateries. Everywhere felt safe in terms of very low crime. But beware that there are few beaches within walking distance of the main town. You have to rely on ferry taxis and they don't run after about October 18th. I can imagine it gets so much busier everywhere in mid-season and maybe it is not as relaxing as we found it at the end of the year.

I'd absolutely recommend symi it's a beautiful island ,stunning even. If I could give one piece of advice it would be to go for a few days not just a day boat trip from Rhodes. To fully appreciate this little island you really do need to spend at least one night this would allow you to at least be able to explore the old town above the harbour with its very steep and narrow lanes plus two or three excellent restaurants.Be aware that that the old town above the harbour is accessible via extremely steep stairways extremely steep.

Charming island with beautiful harbor and authentic village...
Charming island with beautiful harbor and authentic village on top of it. Beautiful beaches, scattered all around the island. Some of them reachable by bus, taxi or on foot, others are reachable by taxi boat.
Love Agios Nikolaos and fish tavern on it with fresh wild fish, love swimming from Agia Marina to small island with the little church there.
Of course, Agios Georgios is incredible place.
The island is not for mass tourism, of course the boats come during a day, but most of them are not staying overnight.
Some wildlife - spotted seal on the beach in Nimborio, and the other person saw turtles on Marathounda beach.
Excellent taverna Tholos, close to port, our long time favorite, also liked a lot Zoe and Kali strata in the village.
And for a Christian, it is a must to visit both Archangel Michael monasteries - Panormitis (newer) and Roukouniotis (older) with frescoes that date back to 15th century. Also, for an Orthodox a surprise visit to Sergii Sarovski church.
