- From $347.26 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,166 reviewsGet ready for some serious honest review. I usually never really give reviews in detail but this resort deserves my time to write this. Our stay at Patal Kikian Villas was truly beyond expectations from the moment we arrived until the day we checked out. We were warmly welcomed & even received a complimentary upgrade to a private pool villa, which was absolutely amazing. The villa offers a direct, unobstructed view of Bali’s tallest and most majestic volcano, Mount Agung. A truly breathtaking sight that left us speechless! The atmosphere throughout the property is incredibly serene. We found ourselves perfectly content simply relaxing in our villa, whether lounging in the living room or enjoying the private pool, both of which face the stunning Mount Agung. It was so peaceful & beautiful that we barely felt the need to leave. We wanted to extend our stay but unfortunately the resort was fully booked :( The staff were genuinely friendly & attentive, adding a personal & welcoming touch to our experience. The food from on-site restaurant was consistently delicious, with a great variety to choose from, so much so that we happily dined there for every meal. Every time we went for dinner, we were pleasantly surprised to return & find our room had been tidied up again, which was such a thoughtful detail! We also appreciated the complimentary local appetizers served at the start of each meal, a lovely way to experience more of Balinese flavors. Breakfast was equally satisfying, with generous selections to start the day right. We were also treated to a complimentary 15-minute foot massage during our stay, which added a relaxing touch. The bed was beautifully decorated in a way we had never seen before! And the pillows are so comfy! Overall, this was a superb and memorable experience :) We will definitely return to Patal Kikian Villas every time we visit Bali. Highly recommended!Guest review byMarliana ErlyQatar

Off the walking shopping restaurant street just enough that it was quiet. It was an oasis from the busy area. The room and grounds were spotless. Woke to a view of the pool. The room was huge with a nice big balcony. So much to do in the area. Loved the staff so nice and helpfulGuest review bySusanUnited States

We have stayed in Ubud about 4 times over the last 8 years and during this time it has gotten very busy making the streets overcrowded and difficult to navigate. As a positive the locals have always been very nice and are one of the best features of anywhere in Bali.Guest review byPhillipAustralia - 6.0
Great for family and learners surfing watching.
Great for family and learners surfing watching. Great swimming pool swimming - temperature good not cold like Ubud! Near to the wonderful perfect Poppies Restaurant [10 mins walk] been "the place" since 1973 I believe. Go there most days - hidden in a garden and every single staff is lon term and part of the Poppies experience.Guest review byRobertSingapore - 8.0

I’ve travelled to Bali a lot over the years but have never stayed in Canggu. It has really top quality restaurants, shops and spas. But I wouldn’t be rushing back the traffic was a terrible and getting Around took so long to get anywhere. The trip to the airport took 2 1/2 hours which was approximately 17 klm from where I was staying and not in peak hour!!!Guest review bysally thomasAustralia - 10.0
Uluwatu is awesome but very busy now compared to other years...
Uluwatu is awesome but very busy now compared to other years. We loved the location of our villa, very central yet so quiet for how busy it is in Padang Padang. Easy to get around. Villa was beautiful we didn't want to leave! Could have done with a tv for quiet night in that's about it. The ladies at the office are lovely but quite pushy with payments when you book things and communication sometimes a bit mixed up. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay :)Guest review byJennaNew Zealand - 4.0
Bali has changed for the worse since we where there last (...
Bali has changed for the worse since we where there last (before Covid). It is no longer the "awesome value" holiday destination. Most (probably all) the accommodation and eateries are owned by ex-pat Aussies and, as a consequence, the prices you pay for eating out and accommodation are "Melbourne" prices - eg. Spice Mantra entrees are around AU$16 plus about 20% in additional taxes. Maybe the business owners are trying to make up for what they lost during Covid??? I think that is why other holiday destinations (such as Vietnam) are becoming more popular.Guest review byWILKINSONAustralia - 8.0
Great restaurants. Great paths along beach.
Great restaurants. Great paths along beach. Super mall with designer shops. Felt safe. Downside would be they are digging up the pavements which will be good for future travellers but was quite hazardous presently.Guest review bylorraineAustralia - 8.0

you can see it in 2 days pretty much. We did find some great little restaurants. Coco Penida and Tropiz. food and service were excellent. Penida is a must see but probably once every blue moon is enoughGuest review byGarryAustralia - 10.0

Highly recommend Nusa Lembongan if you looking for somewhere a little quieter and away from the hustle and bustle. There were plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from and food available for every palette.Guest review byCliveAustralia - 8.0
The area had everything a traveller to Bali required.
The area had everything a traveller to Bali required. The footpaths could do with some repair but the streets and surrounds to reasonably clean. We visited several bars and eateries and none disappointed although the "Steak Project" was a bit on the expensive side. Plenty of shopping areas and spas for a massage or three.Guest review byHill - 8.0
