The location is stunning right in among the rice fields of the farm. I enjoyed exploring the area and hiked to Munduk Village and 3 different waterfalls from the hotel. I also did a guided walk of Lake Tamblingan with the owners son Willy. This was one of the highlights of my trip to Bali. I loved learning about the community here and the importance of the lake and forest. The sunsets were incredible from my balcony. I was sad to leave this magical place.

Beautiful and quiet location. Beautiful and clean rooms. The owners are super friendly and do their utmost to ensure you have a good time. We did a jungle tour, walked the waterfall trail, and booked a massage through the host. Breakfast is good, and the view is beautiful. The small restaurant belonging to the accommodation is nice for dinner as well. Munduk is a very nice, quiet place. I would definitely come back here.

We enjoyed our 7 nights here. The room is traditional The views of the sunrise over the valley is breathtaking. The room was comfy with fridge and aircon. The location is remote but we either walked the very steep hill to the village (20min) or to the river/waterfall past the rice fields up the mountain (20 min) or caught a taxi organised by our hosts at a fair price. We were spoilt each morning with a delicious vegan Bali breakfast. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The scenery up here was incredible. The view from the room, watching the clouds roll through the mountains from our balcony was truley breathtaking. The facilities, restuarant, bar, and the staff were also flawless. The staff were always willing to help and really went above and beyond for us. The included breakfast was probably the best "included breakfast" I've ever experienced. The food at the restuarant, and the cocktails were absolutely delicious. Really cannot find a flaw with this place.

Amazing staff; a green clean sprawling estate to be your 'self'; tasty food in the restaurant; facilities including pool table, gym and massage - Katut (the 4th) Arya also does the landscaping and gardening; parking if you're driving in (not advisable from DPS). I enjoyed morning walks on the sprawling grass lawns, soaking up the morning dew; dips in the pool(s) and letting the Sun dry me. There are shower-spouts placed near the pools and accommodations if you do not fancy the closed shower in the ensuite. The weather God was kind during my stay in the ensuite Bungalow (cheapest); the standard room (bigger with TV, AC and in room kettle) and delux (even bigger) may be value for moeny for a couple/group. Didn't miss anything as the reception had all day tea/coffee facility near the pool.

We liked everything. The food was delicious, the staff was helpful and very friendly and the room was very clean and foreseen of all required facilities. The snorkeling activity was wonderful and everything was arranged in detail by the resort. An absolute must do when you visit the Menjangan resort. Ps: We saw the most beautiful stars by night.

Munduk is one of my favorite places to visit in Bali.

Munduk is one of my favorite places to visit in Bali. Set high in the mountains, the views are second to none. Most of the properties have views all the way to Java, and in the mornings you can see the volcanos clearly and the distant ocean glimmering. The cool mountain air of Munduk is a world away from the heat of the main tourist areas of the island. Don't miss the twin lakes, Pura Tamblingan, and the incredible waterfall hikes throughout the area. My choice of place to stay by far is Adila Private Retreat for a wonderful mid range option, Adila Warung and Homestay on a Budget, or Munduk Moding Plantation for a luxury/eco stay.

Lucky for us it was quiet i know thats not good for the beautiful friendly people. Plenty of bars, restaurants. One of our favourite restaurants Semina had a cold fresh towel and great variety of food. Next door a wonderful massage facility. At end of street on pur lane a popular music friendly warung with great food too. There was Snorkling & dolphin trips. Souveniers. Lots of cats even one beautiful one that liked to visit us at the villa. He was very friendly loved a pat. Most tourists are european. New roads were being made when we were there which will improve the area. We loved lovina our first visit and we are going back soon!

Lots of places to walk to.

Lots of places to walk to. The temple on the hill beneath the mountains, which you can walk to from any narrow lane from the main road. The walk to Monkey Temple and all temples behind this, which are accessed from a small road on the right. At the end of this are a uktitude of steps to a temp,e that has knkeys everywhere. The snorkelling beach is great and if you go a bit further and climb the hill behind there is a temp,e at the top with spectacular views. You can also walmr onto Romantic Beach.Lots of little lane sand tracks you can explore to access this beach from the other side. Lots of Intesting local food places where you can buy some interesting Nasi bunkus. Very filling, .large portions better than a lot of meals biught in sit down places.

You do need to appreciate this area is a long way from...

You do need to appreciate this area is a long way from Denpasar and has limited facilities, particularly medical. It is GREAT if you are into diving / snorkelling or birdwatching / photography. Also, my wife likes horse riding and we found some excellent stables near Permuteran for that. I enjoy using a scooter to explore nature and the salt pans were very interesting for birds. Eating out - there are some Warungs but we stayed in the resort. Whilst you can hire a scooter, your only other option is taxi and the resort can help you there.

I just needed a rest and tranquility.

I just needed a rest and tranquility. The place is quite amazing, only 4 rooms and it is such a difference with those resorts where you meet hundreds of noisy people. Rent a scooter or take a driver, there are quite a few nice things to see but perhaps, if you take a scooter, you are more free to go around as you deem.

Located outside of Singaraja by about 10kms is "OMunity Bali...

Located outside of Singaraja by about 10kms is "OMunity Bali". It is situated in the traditional highland village of Sudaji.. To get to this location you need to make your own transport arrangements to go there and especially leaving is harder as the local Grab App doesn't seem to reach to here. OMunity prepared food is delicious and creative but eating out elsewhere didn't have much choice esp if vegetarian. The ambience is relaxing, friendly and uncrowded. Walking around the neighborhood is pleasant, and there are short road trips with walks or treks to some of the most stunning scenic places in Bali.

It is great to stay in the north of Bali! Getting around takes time and requires a private driver. Management & Staff was just Wonderful and made all our wishes come true. Very responsive via What's app - all day long. Great location on the mountain, fantastic view. Private infinity pool! The place to feel into the magic of Bali!

Quiet solitude.

Great views, beautiful property, excellent services.

Great views, beautiful property, excellent services. We were disappointed about the temporary closure of the restaurant for renovations, but it did not stop the management to serve very decent food in our villa. Highly recommend this property for less visited, mountainous part of Bali. The location of the property is not convenient without transport to other restaurants and sights, but with the help of our driver, we really enjoyed the area very much.

You catch the dolphin watching boats from the beach. There are many restaurants where you can relax with a drink and watch the sunset. Some places offer fire twirling and Balinese dancing. Lovina is close to Banjar Hot Springs and many waterfalls to visit. We have been to Bali numerous times and always include a visit to Lovina.
