We loved our stay at Artomoro. Gede is a man of many talents and a wonderful host, we learned a lot about Bali and his life and family which was very special to us. He took us on a very nice tour to waterfalls, jungle trek and spices farm. Artomoro is situated in the jungle, so peaceful and with a beautiful view from the upstairs terrace where we had both breakfast and lovely dinner cooked by Gede and his wife. The room is nice with very comfy beds and there is a nice seating area in front of the room as well.

We stayed in a villa called Yudhistira (closest to the pool). From the first time we entered the property to checkout 4 days later we were welcomed and experienced high level og service. We went to two trips from here arranged by the hotel, which we can recommend others. The first was trekking locally in the area to see waterfalls, plantations, villages and rice terasses - our guide Kadek was really great with a lot of knowledge about the plantations, culture in Bali and Hindu religion, we learned so much during the trekking. The second trip was to Aling-aling waterfalls, Lovina beach and to hot springs, we got a really nice driver in a great new car. The rooms and place has everything needed, comfortable bed, infinity pool, good restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner, awesome view from balkony over rice terasses and living room with kitchen if needed, shower was nice and clean toilet. We would highly recommend anyone else staying here if need to get a bit out of the traffic in Ubud and Denpasar.

One of the best homestays that I have been to. An amazing view of the fields and the sea, so peaceful with only the sounds of the birds and the water of the river nearby. The hosts were so nice and kind, they helped me organise a trip to the waterfalls and then to the hot spring and a Buddhist temple nearby. I totally recommend this place !!

The scenery up here was incredible. The view from the room, watching the clouds roll through the mountains from our balcony was truley breathtaking. The facilities, restuarant, bar, and the staff were also flawless. The staff were always willing to help and really went above and beyond for us. The included breakfast was probably the best "included breakfast" I've ever experienced. The food at the restuarant, and the cocktails were absolutely delicious. Really cannot find a flaw with this place.

Amazing staff; a green clean sprawling estate to be your 'self'; tasty food in the restaurant; facilities including pool table, gym and massage - Katut (the 4th) Arya also does the landscaping and gardening; parking if you're driving in (not advisable from DPS). I enjoyed morning walks on the sprawling grass lawns, soaking up the morning dew; dips in the pool(s) and letting the Sun dry me. There are shower-spouts placed near the pools and accommodations if you do not fancy the closed shower in the ensuite. The weather God was kind during my stay in the ensuite Bungalow (cheapest); the standard room (bigger with TV, AC and in room kettle) and delux (even bigger) may be value for moeny for a couple/group. Didn't miss anything as the reception had all day tea/coffee facility near the pool.

Lovina Beach Hotel is built in traditional style. It is real quiet blooming greenery place, like a botanical garden a good choice if you are travelling with family, location is good everything is near, beach, dolphin tour operators, in 3 minite walk there is a street with bars, restourants and markets. Breakfast is simple toast, eggs, fruits. I took a room with a partial see view on a second floor. Room is spacious, air conditioner is in good condtion, you can turn off/turn on with remote controller. There is no kettle and fridge, it was surprising for me. If you need hot water the room service will bring it to you in thermos. There is stairs you should take it into consideration if you small children or parents.

This is a lovely resort at North Bali. It is very quiet. Naturally decorated villas with outdoor bathrooms are located in a lush garden surrounded with palm trees, meadows and natural pools. The restaurant serves good food, and the service is very friendly and fast. There is billiard, table tennis, spa and dive center. The sea is here with a beach, corals and beautiful sunrise if one wakes up early. If the sea nearby is not enough there are Menjangan island trips for coral gardens and more. We have been there first time in 2006, and the place did not change much since then. Owners manage to keep the balinese spirit and relaxing atmosphere. Thank you, we will get back again!

This is the hotel my family love most during the Bali trip. We should have stayed longer! Location: 1000 Dream Bungalow is away from hustle and bustle of the center of Lovina Beach, but sits by the beach with a fantastic ocean view. You can even get on board for Dolphin tour on their beach. Restaurant: Relaxing vibe and ambience. Food is delicious. It's a luxury for my family to dine here. Staff: Dian and her daughter Vika are helpful, willing to listen and communicate with their guests. Rooms: Clean and bright. Connecting rooms are a perfect choice for a family.

Usually an accommodation is always much nicer in the pictures than in real life. At this hotel the opposite is actually the case. The entire facility is kept very clean, as are the stylishly furnished rooms. The pool invites you to swim and relax. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. Restaurants and the beach can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. This hotel is the perfect choice for a carefree holiday.

We had nice bungalow with open air bathroom. The room was enough big and comfortable. The bungalow was in a well maintained garden. The open air restaurant laid on at the pool. Breakfast was tasty. The staff were kindly and helpful. Hotel spa was perfect with wonderful and good price massage. Hotel was in the center of the village close to the beach and turtle sanctuary.

The whole experience was amazing! Dinner was exquisite. Breakfast was sublime. Towels and sheets smelled like the frangipani!! So nice. Pool was gorgeous. One thing that might make the stay so much better is if all the hotels, villas and restaurants could make a group to continually monitor and clean up the rubbish on the beach. It's so nice of a place but the rubbish is a bit much!

Perfect place if you want to explore a more natural, authentic and less touristy Bali. The surroundings are absolutely stunning and there are so many villages with different things to do. Would definitely recommend munduk’s waterfall walk and Eco Cafe 2! Worth a visit for at least 3 days if you’re into outdoor activities

Serene location that takes 4 hours up and down on a narrow volcanic mountainous road to reach from Denpasar. The area boasts some very nice resort properties along the water. The area is not otherwise overly or particularly developed and is populated with small agriculture and rice farming. Drink bottled water and avoid unpleasant surprises!

Nice relaxed rural/coastal Bali, great place to just wind it back and take time to slow down. Snorkeling, temple tours both great, hot springs are truely hot and well worth the visit (anytime of day or night), but I’ll mostly remember the friendly approachable people in the neighbourhood. Lovely people (great food)

Located outside of Singaraja by about 10kms is "OMunity Bali...

Located outside of Singaraja by about 10kms is "OMunity Bali". It is situated in the traditional highland village of Sudaji.. To get to this location you need to make your own transport arrangements to go there and especially leaving is harder as the local Grab App doesn't seem to reach to here. OMunity prepared food is delicious and creative but eating out elsewhere didn't have much choice esp if vegetarian. The ambience is relaxing, friendly and uncrowded. Walking around the neighborhood is pleasant, and there are short road trips with walks or treks to some of the most stunning scenic places in Bali.

Tejakula is a great place away from the busy tourist areas of the south beaches. There are great Warungs, bars and markets for shopping. We saw waterfalls, temples, hot springs and a family run salt farm. Quiet walks along the black sand beach and making friends with the locals are some of the reasons why we will come back to Tejakula.

Love Lovina, chilled and lots to see around area....

Love Lovina, chilled and lots to see around area....waterfalls spectacular. As much as I would like to promote Dolphin swimming for local employment, once I was out there I realised it was wrong decision. I'm a marine lover and I don't think the dolphins were too happy chasing them. I decided to get back in the boat and go back.

Our stay at Manduk modern plantation was amazing.

Our stay at Manduk modern plantation was amazing. The most welcoming and friendliest staff I’ve ever had. Making you feel right at home! The property is so beautiful and the views from the restaurants and the room was incredible :) Great sized rooms and very private. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a break from the coast :)

The area he’s like Bali 40 years ago. You are better off staying at a resort on the northern end of the beach, they are beautiful clean and with excellent food and staff, and away from the mosque. Eco Taste, Dimpil Beach Bar, Wrung Rama, The Sage excellent places to eat with cheap healthy fresh food. The Taman, Sari resort & Amertha Resort also have excellent food but more expensive.

I like quiet area to rest and get away from all daily...

I like quiet area to rest and get away from all daily routinity. The accommodation car to take us from a hotel room to a restaurant comes quickly when we need it, but the car seat is hard for elderly.
