First of all, I want to thank the wonderful staff. Esa was there every day to make sure I had everything I needed and always made my days brighter. Chef Wyn prepared the most delicious breakfasts — they truly became one of the highlights of my stay. And special thanks to the owner, Agung, who treated me like part of his family. He showed me all three of his homes, shared stories about Balinese culture and customs, and even took me to a lovely coffee house where I could try authentic luwak coffee. Thank you all so much for your kindness and hospitality! The villa itself is made entirely of bamboo and has an open design, giving a unique feeling of sleeping under the open sky. Because it’s located far from any roads, the surroundings are peaceful and quiet — you’ll only hear a few roosters in the morning and the sounds of nature from the jungle. Everything was kept spotless and well-maintained every day. The pool was perfect for a refreshing morning or evening swim, or simply for relaxing by the water. The villa is located about 25 minutes by motorbike from the center of Ubud, which makes it a great choice for anyone who wants a peaceful retreat while still being close enough to explore the town. There are insect repellents available in the bathroom and near the bed, which helps keep bugs away, though you might still see a few — it’s part of the natural experience. Overall, I had a wonderful time here and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended.

The hotel is absolutely amazing, nestled between the rice fields on a quiet little road with no traffic at all. You hear only the sounds of nature. The rooms are spacious and super comfortable, and when it gets too hot, you can cool off in the pool. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, always happy to help with any questions. Restaurants are a bit farther away, so having a scooter is ideal, but food delivery is also available. If you’re looking for a truly peaceful and quiet place to stay, this is it. 🌿✨

I spent what I can only describe as my best couple of weeks in Bali so far at Pondok Nyoman. Absolutely stunning place and host- all round fabulous. The untainted views of the rice fields and mountains are breathtaking, the rooms are spacious and cleaned to high standards, the WiFi is strong throughout/ good enough for digital nomading. The gardens are delightfully designed, the atmosphere is serene, and there are well laid out places to eat and socialise. There even is a mini gym and area to practice yoga in- a wonderful add-on to the infinity pool for exercise! The level of care I received from Nyoman and team was the highlight however- nothing was ever too much and all I could possibly need during my stay was handled directly from Pondok. Food, refreshments, laundry, massages- all arranged effortlessly and in a timely manner. For trips (no less than 10 sites worth checking out within 30 mins drive!), Nyoman even connected me with trusted drivers/ tour guides in the area so I could make the most of my visit in full confidence- as a solo traveller I felt very safe and well looked after during every single outing. Last but not least, amenities nearby are good too- traditional market, minimarts, ATMs, plus a nice selection of warungs and restaurants available on foot if you're looking to try something different. All in all, if you're passing in the area or looking for a bit of a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the south like me, then please do not hesitate to give Pondok a chance to wow you. You'll find a home away from home, a sense of belonging, and the most loving embrace from Nyoman - a kind and caring man whose life story I bet will also inspire you. Staff were fabulous. Location exactly what we wanted, quiet and very relaxing. The staff were very attentive to our every needs, and went above and beyond. We would stay here again for sure. It is expensive but for us was worth the money. The breakfast was excellent and varied, and the restaurant in the hotel and the Teppanyaki were top class.

The peacefulness and serenity.

The peacefulness and serenity. Very traditional Bali which is a breath of fresh air away from the hustle and bustle of central main areas. Would only recommend as a stay if you're looking for a quiet relaxing vacation. Very easy to get around if you hire a scooter otherwise you walk every where. There are a few restaurants and warungs on the beach side and up the road but nothing 5 star. Some classier spots about 10 minutes away from the main surf beach.

Our stay in Bedugul was a tranquil beginning to our stay in Bali. We loved the variety of scenery and activities. Although drivers were needed to access most of the activities most of these were not far from the hotel. Interactions with drivers and staff felt authentic. Loved that we could go for walks around GiriwoodHotel too. The lower temperatures in this region were very welcomed too.

We were in a good location from everything we wanted to do🤔🤔 We ate at many restaurants in the area. I got to watch the AFL and NRL games at Rama Garden bar and Restaurant. The seafood there was very good and freshly cooked.

This is my 3rd visit to Bali and it's mandate for me to visit Tanah Lot and the nearby market. The place is clean n tidy, a devotional place with street shopping which touches my heart and soul. My toddler can freely run around, an absolute 5* attraction.

This is basic accommodation, but reasonable value for money. It's immediately across the road from the terraces, and the walking track access. The owner is a nice guy, and does everything, reception, cleaning, cooking, etc. The breakfast was basic but tasty, and the Chicken Curry he cooked for me for lunch one of the best I've had in a while. He has a very friendly dog that followed me everywhere, and enjoyed a pat and tummy rub.

Stayed in Sesandan Village- gorgeous rolling hills full of greenery and smiling faces. I ate primarily at Bali Red Roses (food cooked by Mr. Wayan's wife). I am an ultra runner so I walked almost everywhere with the occasional trip to Tabanan. The hiking, running, and walking are wonderful. Learn about dog packs and being the alpha though because you will need to learn to handle the chatty dogs.

We loved the Joglo accommodation we stayed in.

We loved the Joglo accommodation we stayed in. It was in perfect condition, very clean and spacious. Aircon worked well and surprisingly no issue with mozzies in the room. We were thankful to have toothpaste and toothbrush’s in the room for us, also body wash and shampoo. We brought along our little dog and am thankful for our experience there. For dinner we had meals delivered by a local Warung that was recommended by the hotel staff. The next morning we went to the local beach, it’s not one to swim at. More a place to get a few photos and move on. Not much to do around the area, just relax and unwind.

The entire resort was wonderful.

The entire resort was wonderful. This is not for someone looking for a 5 star resort but it is a 5 star eco resort. We thoroughly enjoyed the surroundings and wish we had had a longer time to do more hiking. The food was wonderful and staff went out of their way to be certain our stay was excellent.

We stayed at Villa Taman di Blayu for 5 nights, for us it was a retreat to sit and chill. For this it was perfect.....after travelling through some pretty hectic traffic to get there. From the Villa there was no traffic noise, it overlooks rice fields and has lovely grounds garden / pool / ponds that surround the restaurant. The streets surrounding were safe to walk around.
