From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and accommodating. We checked in at around 2:00 AM, and the late check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. As we were celebrating our honeymoon, we were also surprised with a lovely welcome gift, which made our stay even more special. 🥰 They were also kind enough to allow us a late check-out, which was a huge bonus and very much appreciated.
Our room was cleaned every single day, and the towels were replaced daily too—which really impressed us! The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and both the bed linens and towels felt like high-quality cotton. The bathroom was well-equipped with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, so we had everything we needed.
The hotel itself is peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to come back to after a full day of exploring Bergamo and the surrounding areas. Breakfast was also excellent, especially the fresh orange juice! While they don't cook made-to-order omelettes or similar hot dishes, the breakfast selection was still delicious and satisfying.
The location is very convenient, especially if you're renting a car. If you're using public transport, the nearest bus stop is about a 13-minute walk away. The only downside is that the buses don't always arrive on time—but that's hardly the hotel's fault! There are also convenient stores, restaurants, a nail salon, a barber shop, and a church all within walking distance.
Overall, Hotel Roma 30 exceeded our expectations. The outstanding hospitality, cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches made our honeymoon stay truly memorable. Highly recommended!

ChinaThis hotel is seriously underrated and absolutely exceeded my expectations! The location couldn’t be better — only about 200 meters from the main square, close to everything yet peaceful and quiet.
The room was bright, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean — every corner of the hotel was immaculate! You can really feel the owner’s care and attention to detail in every element, from the décor to the maintenance. The small courtyard is lovely and full of Italian charm — exactly what I dreamed of when visiting Italy. Everything felt fresh, elegant, and well taken care of.
Breakfast was another pleasant surprise — absolutely amazing! There were plenty of choices, and everything was delicious. The bacon and pizza were among the best I’ve ever had. The restaurant staff were responsible, busy, and efficient, always keeping everything tidy and replenished. You could feel the positive energy in the morning! The hardworking, cheerful owner also came by to check on the breakfast area — such a nice personal touch that made the whole experience even warmer.
This place truly embodies the spirit of Italian hospitality — friendly, thoughtful, and full of life.

It had a lovely hot tub in the room too, much to our daughter’s surprise! We had an early start and were able to order breakfast to the room. Fabulous restaurant across the road.

The hotel and the room themselves are clean, very tidy and well-organized. A good breakfast is available, with a wide selection. Hot dishes are freshly prepared upon request (e.g. omelets in various versions). Dinner is also very good, especially if you try local dishes.
The town center is a 15-minute walk away.
A garage is available for motorcycles and cars.
Overall, very good value for money.

We absolutely loved our stay at La Casa del Porto! The view of the lake from the room was simply stunning—waking up to that scenery was a dream. Everything. The room was spacious. The facilities perfect. Everything we needed we had it in the room. The breakfast was perfect. The staff very nice ESPECIALLY IN THE BREAKFAST THE GIRL CALLED GARDAKKA FROM SERBIA WAS EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD AND VERY POLITE. WHATEVER WE ASKED WE HAD IT IMMEDIATELY. THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL WAS PERFECT ALSO. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!!!!!! NOTHING ELSE IS NEEDED TO HAVE A PLEASANT STAY.

Amazing room, we got a free upgrade and it was so comfortable and fancy. The restaurants were great - Leone Felice was particularly excellent. The staff were all lovely and so helpful. The facilities were excellent, we loved playing tennis, and using the spa. We had so much fun on the quad bike excursion! Breakfast buffet was great and bar is lovely

Iseo is beautiful. There is something for everyone there.
Iseo is beautiful. There is something for everyone there.
We were on a walking holiday and had plenty of choice.
Crossing the lake on the ferry was lovely. All the towns and villages were charming. The food and drink were reasonably priced and very high quality. My partner regrets not bringing his cycling gear. It is heaven for cyclists. We loved our six days there and will be back.

At the very north of the lake, there are some nice views...
At the very north of the lake, there are some nice views over the water, with a lake front promenade. However the road runs right beside the promenade, and so restaurants and shops look over the road, which can be busy during the day. There are a dozen or so restaurants, some of which are closed a few days per week so worth planning your meals. The evening light show over the buildings is different and a nice touch. Several good gelaterias.
With a hire car, Lovere was a good base for us to get to other parts of the lake and we had a lovely time, but after visiting other towns on the lake, we would probably choose Pisogne or Iseo town itself for a second visit.

Nice town, with some good options to eat at a variety of price points. Could do with some better public swimming points as some are shallow, stony and full of lake weed. Garda has public lidos that could show the way. One nice jetty area for jumping/diving.

Sarnico is worth a visit.
Sarnico is worth a visit. We were there on a Saturday night and it came alive. The bars were open until 2am.
Lots of bars and places to eat (although we eat at a Wine and Bruschetta bar which I wouldn't recommend).
Nice walk around the edge of the lake and across the bridge to Patatico. More walking could be done but we were short of time.

I took my wife for a romantic weekend celebrating our 30th anniversary. We were very statified with the hotel and restaurant, and the fact that it is so close to the lake Iseo shore allowed us to have very nice walks over this absolutely beautiful location. The excellent Franciacorta wines produced nearby are highly recommended! Overall, it was a superb experience!

Riva di Solto is a small and picturesque lakeside village — peaceful, authentic, and undeniably charming.
But be aware: very little happens here. Even on weekends, the town remains extremely quiet, with only 1–2 restaurants open and hardly any signs of typical tourist activity.
It has a lovely lakeside promenade and beautiful views, but beyond that, there’s really not much going on — no nightlife, no shops, no attractions. The atmosphere is slow, relaxed, and, at times, a bit retired in spirit.
This is a place for people who truly want to disconnect, avoid crowds, and enjoy a slice of quiet, traditional Italy.
If you're looking for energy, entertainment, or variety — this is probably not the right place for you.

Perhaps, a hidden gem.
Perhaps, a hidden gem. When I was planning on visiting lake ISEO, I was looking to avoid most touristy places and prioritizing - Relaxation, Food, Culture and a great view of the Lake. I did some research and found this town which also had an easy access to Monte Isola. Trust me you will be pleasantly surprised by the charm this small town and Monte Isola has if you like the mentioned stuffs above. Cheers.

Castro is a charming, quiet town with absolutely spectacular views of the lake. While there aren't many amenities on-site, such as larger stores or a wide selection of restaurants, all necessary infrastructure is readily available in neighboring Lovere. The incredible panoramas and tranquility more than make up for these minor drawbacks.

Beautiful small city, well placed in the middle of the east coast of lake Iseo with a view on one of the small islands. Facilities for everything you nee and the small post office was entertaining (do not expect express, relax and enjoy Italy). It is a great spot to relax, doing water sports, start hiking, cycling, taking a ride on the ferry or doing a day trip by car to Bergamo, Milan, Verona or even Venice. There are plenty restaurants in the nearby area and the two pizzerias in the city provide a good Italian pizza for a reasonable price

I preferred it to Como Lake; it is less urbanized, and being smaller is easier to manage. Swimming facilities are somewhat limited and thus a bit crowded. But I didn't visit all those swimming facilities, and probably there are a few less crowded. It has a nature preserve park good for hiking and bird watching, although at the time I visited, there was less waterfowl than I was expecting.I would rather go back to Lake Iseo than Lake Como.
