This hotel was the best choice in Ischia! Paola & Dario are the best hosts ❤️ It's a family run hotel in the nearby Port of Forio. The location is perfect for families, because the neighborhood is calm and quiet, the sandy beach is nearby and there is an outside pool & thermal spa in the most beautiful garden what I l've ever seen before! The kitchen, the chef, the staff: excellent, 5 Stars ⭐️ I recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to feel the spirit of the "Ischitana" hospitality 🥰

The hotel felt like we staying as a guest in a friend's home. The location is 10mins walk from Sant'Angelo. The staff worked hard, but they were exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and helpful; offering lots of useful information and recommendations. Luana and Sabrina arranged the airport transfers, the car hire, a boat rental, and several restaurant bookings. Everything went smoothly. The WhatsApp facility was also particularly useful for making the initial transfer arrangements, and for offering some additional help/advice during the day, if needed. Overall, it was a great experience, and we'll definitely go back.

we loved our stay at Hotel Maronti! the location was beautiful, and we absolutely loved the garden and entrance to the hotel. Ernesto was a wonderful host, and he helped us out when we needed to find a doctor. All of his staff were very lovely and welcoming, too. We would definitely be back if we came to Ischia again!

We had a wonderful time on Ischia and at the Relais Corte Degli Aragonesi. Fabulous bedroom and staff made such an effort to look after us. I have Coeliac disease and require a gluten free diet. I was so well looked after.

Tenuta del Poggio's staff was great, they guided us through navigating the island and the visiting suggestions allowed us to get to know the local's favorites. The location of the accommodation allowed the enjoyment of beautiful sunsets, the quietness and the rooms were big and well equipped. This is the best location I have ever been for holiday. The room is always clean. The breakfast is very nice, the dinner is absolutely delicious!!! The staff of the hotel is friendly and very helpful. Big thanks to Antonio, Marco,Anna,Tania and all team of La Gondola Hotel, they made our holiday absolutely fantastic and unforgettable!!!

Picturesque Island of Volcanic Rock, Thermal Spas and Pristine Beaches

Located 30 km from Naples and formed by a complex volcano, the pristine and breathtaking Ischia Island is Mother Nature’s hidden gem in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is surrounded by an unspoiled coastline, thermal spas, several hiking routes and spectacular scenery.

Built in 474 BC, Aragonese Castle which is perched on natural volcanic rock, is the most impressive historical monument on Ischia Island, and is a modern day reminder of the islands past. Another wonder of island is the Gardens of La Mortella. Filled with tropical and Mediterranean plants, these picture-perfect gardens offer some of the best views over the region and Forio Harbour.

Other attractions on Ischia Island are beaches such as Maronti Beach and Citara Beach. There is also the Angelo Rizzoli Museum, which is a museum of the famous Italian publisher and film producer Angelo Rizzoli, along with the mushroom rock (known to locals as the Fungo) located just off the port of Lacco Ameno. Several local restaurants and bars are scattered around the island serving traditional and local delights.

One of the most interesting and unique areas on Ischia Island is the bay of Citara, and the famous Poseidon thermal Gardens. It features several pools, spas, a traditional Roman Sauna, a private beach and various restaurants. Visitors also have great transportation links by bus around the island.

The hotel is at a very central location, very alive but still quiet. It’s very clean and although the building is maybe a bit old, all facilities are perfectly functioning. It’s also very safe for female travelers. But the big plus of this hotel is the staff- always genuine smiling and helpful, they are really adding at the experience! I hope we return one day and definitely we will stay again at Conte!

Forio is ideal for its location, selection of shops food, nightlife, pedestrian friendly, and child friendly. Plan just a 20 minute drive to any real location on the island. From forio drive to ischia port, Serrara Fontana ( hiking up the peak) or Sant’Angelo in less than 20 minutes! Walk to the port and enjoy beaches or dining in less than 10 minutes! If you’re busing 🚌 it’s only 30 minutes to any real location!

A beautiful island with a range of personal experiences that made our vist unique. Everyone we met was so friendly and we enjoyed all of our time on the island. We did find the roads very narrow and different to drive with a hire car. Th thermal pools at Poseidon were outstanding. We visited in mid-October and found that the island was in the process of shutting down for the off season. Despite this, we are now missing the fabulous family run restaurants and quiet hotel. Would love to go back and visit again.

Where can I start?

Where can I start? Our stay at Casa Nicola was excellent with a very friendly host, Marisa taking her pride to accommodate us, as if her house guests! Chosen very comfortable rooms, cleaned & maintained impeccably by her family members. And amazing food she cooked every night, rustic homemade pasta soups followed by the varieties of tasty mains, - meat and fish prepared simply but all with care & attentions. Her homemade cakes at both breakfast and dinner were delights, - one evening we found out that was Marisa’s birthday, she fed all the guests a feast, a delicate quiche, sea bream and homemade ‘Ferra- Roche’ like chocolate truffles but 1000% yummier! On our departure, she gave us big hugs just like what family friends does, with eagerly handed us big lemons. No wonder many of the guests wish to come back there, since Madam Nicola first time lodged a German artist more than 40 years ago. Grazie, Marisa and all the family for being so hospitable. We had a wonderful time in Ischia, your lovely island!

Ischia was gorgeous. We stayed on the West (Forio) for the best sunsets. We think it was much nicer than the Ischia Porto. Forio is much quieter than Ischia Porto and much more attractive town. It is so easy getting the bus around the Island. The Island is small so easy to explore.

One of the best places I've been.

One of the best places I've been. Everything was wonderful from beaches to restaurants to views. We took advantage of the local bus service to get to S. Angelo in 2 directions. The rides were unbelievable. Will hire a scooter next time.

Lovely island, it felt like a hidden gem.

Lovely island, it felt like a hidden gem. Not many tourists there this time of year (october). We loved Poseidon. The town Sant'Angelo was beautiful! The Marina/beach and restaurants nearby was very quaint and clean.
