Mariano and Mariana are exceptionally kind and friendly, they went out of their way to make our stay wonderful! The rifugio is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and warm. Breakfast is delicious and the coffee is fantastic!! We stayed for four nights and had the best time. The other guests were so awesome and we had a great time catching up over drinks and dinner! The process of skiing back to the rifugio was perhaps a little challenging for the beginner skiers in our group but it was no problem for them to walk some of the steeper red sections on the way home. Thank you Mariana and Mariano - I hope we get the chance to visit Rifugio Baita Gimont again.

Excellent location next door to the ski lifts and the centre of the village

Great location for ski safaris. You can ski several resorts in Italy on Via Latte and it is only 30 min from Briancon Serre Chevalier. In centre of Cesana..good restaurants and bar nearby. I liked the lobby a lot. Rooms have all you need, older but perfectly workig heating system. Beautiful downstairs sitting areas and cute small bar.

Property in the center of the town, close to nice restaurants, to a fresh fountain and to several walks in the mountain. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice views to the mountains from the room balcony.

Excellent hotel with clean, large and quiet rooms. Great bed and very good breakfast of very high quality and multiple selections. These people take their job very seriously and do the best they can to please you in any way they can. Great stop on our way to Annecy for a road trip to Italy, France, Switzerland and Germany

The hotel staff was so sweet and willing to make sure that we were comfortable and having a good time. We had interesting conversations with the receptionists and the food servers, where the lady serving food also suggested us to watch the passing of the Olympic Torch in the town square. The breakfast food, variety and quality was very good (except for the hard boiled eggs), especially considering that it was a continental breakfast. The hotel was located in a very good spot, being very close to the beginner ski tracks where we had our training courses, yet not far from the town centre.

The room was well set out, spacious, and very clean. The breakfast was amazing. The antipasto vegetables, meats, and cheese at dinner were lovely.

We liked everything. Nicolette was very helpful and did everything she could to help us — booking restaurants, driving us to the city center and the shop, and recommending different places and restaurants. We also loved sitting by the fireplace in the evenings after skiing and having cocktails from the bar. The women at the bar even provided us with free snacks to go with the cocktails — cheese, ham, crackers, and sauce — which were very tasty. There was also an option to be picked up from the airport, so we chose it. We were driven from the airport to the hotel and back, which was very comfortable. Nicolette even stitched up my friend's pants after he ripped them at the top of the mountains while skiing :D We felt like we were part of the family, which made our holiday amazing. The ski storage room is very close to the hotel, just a couple of minutes' walk away. The ski lift is also very close, so you don't need to spend much time getting to the slopes, which was really great. We stayed there in March 2026. The snow at the top was in very good condition, so we had many sunny days and great skiing. Thank you very much for your time and for the excellent holiday you provided for us! We absolutely recommend this place.

Great place to stay, staff very nice, location great, directly in the centre and the breakfast was nice bonus. Staff helped with parking too.

I liked this place, staff was nice. The room is very good for that price. Huge balcony with outstanding view is a nice bonus. Facilities are quite old, but everything is working. Breakfast was quite good.

Such a wonderful place! Would recommend to anyone that wants to stay far away from any village or city - so peaceful up in the mountains! Big plus for perfect dinners and breakfasts! Staff were super friendly and helpful - much appreciated! Will definitely come back.
