My wife and I always try to find hotels or other places to stay with better value to us than the price, we need to pay. Hotel Trilago was such a place 😊 Here you have: - A newly renovated hotel with everything nice, clean and in perfect order. - A beautiful, picturesque lake surrounded by mountains - Walkable trails and quiet road around the lake = 8 kilometers - Quiet waters with fish, turtles and ducks swimming around - Water bikes, canoes, swimming/beach and more options offered close by - In the morning you’ll see a lot of surfers, paragliders etc. on the lake and around - Further to the restaurant in the hotel, you find another restaurant/pizzeria in walkable distance 0.7 kilometers around the lake for variety, if you want - A minimarket + 3-4 small bars in a range of 1.3 kilometers - Cosy, quiet surroundings all in all = a fine place to really relax and be yourself We loved this place and would definitely want to come back one day.

If you expected this hotel to be a standard 4-star, you might be wrong but let me tell you what truly makes this place great: THE PEOPLE! • First impression: at the reception you are welcomed by friendly, helpful staff. • Second: when you step into your room, you’ll notice how spotless everything is. Housekeeping is doing an excellent job each day you are staying. • Third: at the restaurant, the girls are fantastic whatever you want, they’ll make sure you have it. And here’s a big plus: they use real eggs for breakfast, not the tetrapack carton ones like many big hotels do. Of course, there’s always room for improvement, but the staff here are the heart of the hotel, and that’s what makes your stay special. Be grateful for that! Should you book here? Absolutely! It’s pet-friendly, has a pool, garage, and even free access to the beach. What more could you ask for? A big thank you to all the staff for making this hotel a great experience!

I loved everything. It is beautiful, it is big, the rooms are quite big. The breakfast was so amazing, you had like all, sweet sour , you were able to choose whatever, the variety is great and also I loved that there were things also for people that had gluten intolerance or lactose intolerant. It was for everyone. The pool is great, the fact that it has a bar. There are many facilities although we didn't use all of them . But I can say that it is a place with many facilities. It is a great place for families, it has a park for children. For us, it was a nice experience and we would definitely would like to come back.

We liked many things_ top clean and tidy appartment, cozy feeling because of all the wooden parts inside, location, fresh air, surrounded by beautiful nature and most of all: calm, easy-going and quiet Sauris di Sopra. Such peace and privacy, loved it. P.s. Cool detail _ lots of board games and books to borrow from the reception library :) All in all, we enjoyed our time here very much.

The hotel was very nice and clean, the location is excellent and the staff was very helpful. The room was comfortable, very spacious. The roof restaurant gave a fantastic view to the sea. The meal was delicious. The swimming pools counterbalanced the beach which was disappointing.

Udine is a juwel little town in a region - Friuli Venezia Giulia - which offers lovely scenery and excellent wine&food. Udine is very easy to walk in order to discover the beautiful architecture, the Castle and the Loggia. Full of cosy bars and restaurants where food and wine are simply amazing and really affordable.

Tarvisio is charming little town with great restaurants and shops. The most important for me is ski area with magic Monte Lussari. I would recommend the place for a weekend trip. My favorite restaurant is Orario ristorante.

Lignano has all you need for a comfy vacation.

Lignano has all you need for a comfy vacation. Lovely beaches, a lot of nature, great shopping, excellent choice of restaurants and food establishments. Be aware that at the end of September many places in Lignano Pineta start to close so you need to travel to other parts of Lignano for shopping / eating out but parking is easy so not a big deal. I enjoyed walking around the town with very little auto and human traffic around :).

A great immersion in a rinascimento fortress, the state of preservation is astonishing. It's the "only" thing to see, but a walk around the fortress can last a solid couple of hours, and you can walk back and forth the different defensive structure to try to understand their specific role in the city defense! I recommend a stay at the Hotel Ai Doggi, as per eating Al Gambero was a super friendly place!

It's a cosy place to have a two or three days of rest in a quiet surrounding. There are a couple of places to visit for a dinner and not much to do in the village itself - however as a drive-by or to have two or three cruises to the nearby attractions it is very good.

A very nice historical town!

A very nice historical town! You can just hang out by the bridge, watch the river and mountains or you can explore the small streets on your own. There are many nice places to have a glass of wine or to buy some local pastries. You may also see that the center is full of locals who like to go out and the atmosphere in Cividale is really friendly!

Amazing little town full of character, history to see and...

Amazing little town full of character, history to see and good food! Nestled in the mountain range this town is a hub close to many other amazing small towns in the area. Known for their amazing prosciutto and Fruilano wine, this is a sure spot to visit for an easy stay. Bagatto prosciutto offered a great little tour, answering many questions, and had an amazing sampling of meat following. The tiramisu was also great! The person in the info/tourist office was very helpful and gave us lots of different sites to see. All were free to visit (church, old house, etc). Unfortunately not everything was open. Easy to park the car and walk around for the day! We happened upon a bike race that filled the town with energy and bikers looping through the main streets and hills.

Its a really nice small village, where you can experience the Italian lifestyle :) good gelaterias and pizza places are available, but I think its only a 1-2 day stay. We travelled to Udine, Tolmezzo, Triest, Lignano from here: for that, Codroipo is in the perfect spot!

The eastern hills of Friuli would be an apt translation for Friuli Colli Orientali, a famed Italian wine region. Indeed, these are impressive wine hills. The exceptional flysch geology renders Friuli Colli Oriental one of the preeminent wine regions in Italy. Buttrio is considered the symbolic heart of this southern region, where the breezy, mild effects of the Adriatic create an exceptional microclimate ideal for winemaking. Buttrio is otherwise famed as the headquarters of the global corporation Danieli Group, a global leader in providing equipment for the metallurgical industry. The hundred-year-old company, situated across from the hotel, is responsible for the project. Although the hotel’s location may not be spectacular per se, a stone’s throw away from the humming motorway to Udine, the architects used the space elegantly, turning a potential weakness into a competitive advantage. Once you set foot in the hotel, you will find yourself in a parallel world that pays homage to the area’s rich history. By the end of your stay, you will be positively impressed by the location. It is ideal for exploring the region’s secrets, as everything is within arm’s reach. Even though we thought the company’s vicinity was the reason behind the choice at first, we realised the architects had made a clever decision.

Udine is a beautiful, charming historical city where its proximity to other small towns such as Cividale, Aquileia, San Daniele and Tarvisio makes Udine a perfectly and strategically positioned city to go exploring from. The wine bars and osterias ooze old school charm. The city centre serves as a reminder of its historic ties to Venetian and Roman times. No car? No problem! Udine can easily be walked, it’s flat and grid like so you will never get lost and even if you do, you will invariably end up in the heart of Udine, the Piazza Della Liberta! There are wine bars and osterias galore to try but would have to give a nod to Osteria Pieri Mortadele in Via Bartolini and Osteria Al Canarino in Via Cussignacco. A visit to Mo-Mart in Via Scarpi is also a must for a cocktail or two (this place is seriously the best cocktail bar in all of Friuli). Udine really is a hidden gem which everyone should enjoy at least once in their life.
