- From $215.77 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 379 reviewsEnjoyed our stay at this ryokan. The tourists info center at the bus terminal arranged for our shuttle bus pickup. On arrival, that has an English peaking person who checked us in, explained everything in detail, showed us to our room and answered all our questions. The onsen was very good. The Japanese kaiseki dinner was outstanding as was the breakfast the following morning. The staff were very attentive and helpful.Guest review byGeorgeUnited States
- From $67.29 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,499 reviewsBeautiful view of the bay! Staff was so accommodating as we’re English speaking. Fully stocked amenity bar with high quality products. Parking is on site. It snowed very heavy the night we stayed and the front desk staff offered us a snow brush/scraper to borrow during checkout to make sure our car was clean and accessible. Within walking distance of Lawson, train station, and Shin-Machi shopping district.Guest review byAshleyUnited States
- From $198.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 41 reviewsCheck in and out was really easy and most of the staff had a relatively good command of English. The half board had some unique dishes (e.g. we had a swordfish dish for dinner) and the food was really good. The staff also took the time to tell us what each dish was in English! The room also had a really good view!Guest review byKXSingapore

I sadly only got to visit around the station area both alone, with a friend and some locals and it was the highlight of my trip. The huge shopping area starting from the station extends for many blocs and has everything you could ever want from arcades to second hand shops to all sorts of restaurants and cafes. The malls next to the station have all your sort of branded shops like Gundam Base and Pokemon Center. The nightlife is pretty nice and the few places we hit while wandering with a friend from Sendai were very tasty and everyone's super friendly!Guest review byAlessandroItaly - 8.0

Morioka is apparently famous for different types of locally produced noodles. I ate at two different restaurants, both were tasty with the usual exemplary Japanese customer service. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from if that is your thing. Morioka is a pleasant spot with mountain views from the central city. I visited in winter there are a few nearby skifields. I imagine it would be gorgeous in spring and autumn.Guest review byIanNew Zealand - 10.0
Aomori people are very kind and friendly.
Aomori people are very kind and friendly. I like to remind visitors to remember of Japanese manners. Please don't make trash on the road. Please don't shout in any situations. Please make sure not use handphone calls in the train and buses. Thank you.!!Guest review byNumata - 8.0

We parked at Times Parking next to Crown Plaza hotel and the parking lot charged us 3200 yen for over nigh parking. We found not place to clarify why such high as the signage said maximum was 700 yen for over night. I booked a counter table in 长屋酒场, but they offered sitting on tatami with a few small tables... eating for 1-2 hours... just not comfortable. we left early and found not so good experience.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Iwaki is a beautiful quiet city.
Iwaki is a beautiful quiet city. There are many restaurants with Japanese food. There are wide food markets. There are many hotels. Transportation to Iwaki is fine. You can learn about the Japanese style of life. You can also visit the towns close to Iwaki.Guest review byCartasJapan - 10.0

Hon-Hachinohe has far more to offer than we could fit into our three-day visit—we truly wished we had stayed longer. The Korekawa Jomon Archaeological Museum was exceptional, offering a fascinating look at the area's ancient past. The Tanesashi Coast was another highlight, with its beautiful and easy-to-navigate hiking trails. In the center of town, we explored the Hachinohe Portal Museum, known as ‘Hacchi’—a six-floor space that blends cultural center, artist studios, and local exhibits. The staff there were especially welcoming and helpful. We didn’t have time to visit the Art Museum or the History Museum, Maybe next timeGuest review bysherylUnited States - 10.0
There are many more sights to see which we couldn't fit in.
There are many more sights to see which we couldn't fit in. Having an interpreter guide was great. The Hanamiyama cherry Blossom Gardens is a must see. The whole valley and mountain were covered in new cherry blossom - spectacular, we were there on April 2, 2025. Easy to get to by bus.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 10.0
The hotel location was great.
The hotel location was great. It is directly across the street from the train station. It was very easy to get around by walking or taking the JR rail. We had an amazing view of the street below. There are many convenient stores, restaurants and eating places nearby. Shopping is everywhere. We went to “Round 1” entertainment center for arcade games. They also have bowling, karaoke and a kids zone. There is a free red bus from the station or you can take a 15 minute walk to get there. In the same parking lot we shopped at “Don Côté”, Japan’s biggest discount store.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
There is more than meets the eye in this city.
There is more than meets the eye in this city. Online guidebooks/tourist information is limited. Many of the sightseeing spots are spread out, so you need time to go from spot to spot. There are some of places not featured well in guidebooks that are still worth seeing, so plan a little extra time when you go!Guest review byHenryUnited States - 10.0

The host, Akira, greeted us with a glass of their local apple juice (from their neighbor actually). It was a nice surprise! The house is located on a nice and quiet neighborhood and is surrounded by apple orchards. Since this is a home stay, towels aren’t included but you can request them for ¥100 per person. They offered to change the sheets after 3 days but we declined. Akira’s wife, Yo’ne, even took stride to learn how to ask “Did you have a good night’s sleep” in our language. She stated that she does that for every international guests they have. It was nice personal touch. If you plan to stay here, you’ll need a car as it’s about 15 minutes from the city center. However, the Go app (Japan’s version of Uber) works fine albeit a little pricier than the big cities. Other than that, we had a very lovely stay.Guest review byGingUnited States
