Great hotel located right in the Yamagata train station! Friendly staff - we arrived earlier than check-in time so the front desk held our luggage for us and even again after check-out before our train arrived. The rooms were clean, modern, well-lit and more spacious than I expected. Close to lots of restaurants and shops.

Excellent location 3-5 minutes walking to the station, plus a konbini and yakitori restaurant right next to it. Hotel was simple but efficient, check-in and check-out couldn't be faster, done by the clerk in less than a minute.

Extremely beautiful hotel, very friendly and accomodating staff, great onsen, sake bar, library, and you get your steps in as it‘s fairly big. Next time I‘d like to try the in-room massage service. We have stayed at a Shigeru Ban designed place in Karuizawa before, but at around three or four times the price of what we paid here. While that one felt very secluded, this one had a bit of a communal feel to it. Breakfast was nice (not too many vegetarian options, but clearly labeled), and the breakfast area was gorgeous.

Nice hotel close to Yamagata Station. Rooms were nice and staff all very friend. Shout out to the parking attendant.. cool guy! :D Good location for travelling to Zao Onsen if you have a hire car. Rooftop onsen was very nice too!!!

It was fine to stay at while I explored the local area. Bed was comfortable and bath was serviceable, buffet breakfast was good. Distance to the train station on foot was about a 20 minute walk and there was a few things to see on the way

Very close to Yamagata station and excellent value for money. In the reception room floor there was a variety of shampoos and shower gels to borrow and other toiletries such as toothbrushes to take. We enjoyed the Japanese style breakfast and the massage chairs were a pleasant surprise.

We stayed for 2 nights in November and really enjoyed it. The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from Yamagata station. We had two good sized rooms located next to each other with lovely views. The highlight was the breakfast - amazing locally sourced food - the best breakfast we had in Japan! The hotel also has tea, coffee, and incredible cakes available in the lobby. We really appreciated how caring the hotel staff were in ensuring we had a great stay and looking after us in the restaurant. Highly recommend staying here - our family loved it and we will be back.

Walking distance to train station, very delicious dinner option

The futon beds were exceptionally comfy and everything was super clean. The staff was very friendly.

The onsens were great! Both the outdoor and indoor one. The room was spacious having a toilet and bathroom. Staff were very nice and had free toiletries. Lots of amenities such as a kitchen and a big area to relax and eat. There is also a massage experience available, however you need to book in this at the front desk.
