We had a warm welcome with tea/coffee offered upon arrival. During the stay the host was very approachable for any questions we had. It’s conveniently located and walking distance to the entrance of Adams Peak. Nice breakfast is served, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. The hotel is in the middle of the tea plantation with an incredible view. The staff is super kind and always available for any requests. The amenities are gorgeous and refined in all details, surrounded by a very well maintained garden. Dinner available (but you need to reserve) and breakfast was excellent. There’s also a lovely swing for instagram photos :) Would love to return!

Amazing and unique place in the middle of nature. We stayed at the big villa near the river with exclusive access to a natural pool in the river. It was a magical experience to swim in the river and to climb the big rocks. The manager and staff were very friendly and gave excellent service. They arranged a river rafting not far away which was a great experience. You should definitely visit this extraordinary place.

The people hosting the guest house were definitely my highlight. Roshan, his wife and daughter were so friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their face! Roshan even dropped me at the railway station on the last day, which was super nice! The breakfast was very delicious and enough. The beds were super comfortable and the room very spacious. There is a shortcut to get into the city that‘s why the location of the guest house is also fine. Would definitely come back next time!

When we arrived we were met by a pleasant personnel, serving warm cloths and tea. The english knowledge of the staff was wonderful, and they were super helpful and they did all they could to make us feel welcomed during the whole stay. Moreover, the hotel is not only a hotel, it’s also a tea factory and a museum. It was a very unique experience, we would definitely recommend it for everyone coming to Nuwara Eliya wanting a real experience in the tea making progress. We will come back!

Incredible experience in Nuwara Eliya! Good location and just nearby the famous Grand Hotel and Victoria Park and has a path to visit. Hill Club is a historical building and worth you spend one-hour to walk around and insight. Room is comfortable, breakfast is good, price-performance ratio is better than Grand Hotel as you can spend high tea and visit the garden there from Hill Club. Staff is kind and helpful. Highly Recommended!

The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking 24 hectares of tea plantation, surrounded by luscious mountains. It is the perfect combination of peace and isolation amidst a breathtaking scenery. The hotel staff are very attentive to guests’ needs - be it booking car transfers or showing the best hike routes in the area. This place is a gem and we look forward to coming back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so attentive and helpful. We were arriving in later than expected and they had food prepared for us. The breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect as well very close to everything. Couldn’t recommend the accommodation enough - really happy with the accommodation and again the staff were just so great.

Nuwara Eliya is a beautiful city filled with beautiful green colors that reflect the diversity of Sri Lanka's climate. The blue mountains, the cold mist, the waterfalls falling from the cloud-covered mountain peaks make the city very beautiful. Nuwara Eliya is a city that you must stop and see for a while. There are many hotels to choose from as well as local food. There are many options for choosing pure as well as quality food. It is not difficult to get around the city and the post office should visit the Pidurutalagala mountain top.

Besides doing the incredibly beautiful hike to Adams Peak, you can hire a tuktuk driver to guide you to Morey's Waterfall. the best waterfall we got to hike to in Sri lanka, challenging 1 hour hike but you'll get to stroll thru lush tea plantations and walk along side Lake Morey.

If you are into budget travel and want a genuine local...

If you are into budget travel and want a genuine local experience, NanuOya is a good town to visit. It’s very close to the main tourist town Nuwara Eliya (approx 9km away) and has buses heading there every 20mins. You can also get there by train. The locals are very helpful and kind. You get a few places to eat food like South Indian dishes and koththu and a few places to buy liquor from. There are two waterfalls and the larger, wider one located inside the Glassough tea estate is a place where you can bathe in on a sunny day. It’s a lovely little town surrounded by tea estates!

The location is off-the-beaten track a bit if that’s what you like. Personally coming from England I didn’t need to see Nuwara Elyia (little England), little point when I live in England! I enjoyed being in the middle of nowhere and in a peaceful environment before hitting the city of Kandy.

The town is an old colonial establishment with the first post office in Sri Lanka as well as the oldest golf course - lots of historical homes and buildings and a lively market for those who want to shop. The lovely thing about this place is that you can live in a historical home. It connects the pas to the present in a wonderful way

Do not climb on Saturdays as you will most probably not be...

Do not climb on Saturdays as you will most probably not be able to reach the top. It was over-crowded and the path is narrow the last 500 meters. Got stuck in one spot for 45 minutes and decided to turn around. Still got amazing views though and the experience of local pilgrimage which was a privilege!

Hatton is the second largest city in Nuwara Eliya District has so many places to visit.The Adams peak is the most venerated place in the area.Many reserviors and watterfalls can see in this area.Seven virgin mountains,Sri pada Forest can be explored during the stay.

Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .

Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .The hilly terrain is a planners dream. I imagine the buildings painted pastal pink and yellow, flower pots hanging from the eves, it could be a destination rather than a quick stop to buy supplies on the way to elsewhere as is now.
