We loved everything about this hotel. Our room was beyond expectations (Mariposa) with its quirky decor and balcony overlooking the atrium. The breakfast room was gorgeous, with river views and a spa pool. The rooftop infinity pool was perfect for morning length swimming and had spectacular 360 degree views. A a bonus pool and sun deck was just above our room. The location was perfect, next to the river and Coale Islsnd, plus loads of small restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance. Our stay was made extra special by the hotel staff and the two rescue cats, Elizabeth and Josephine.

Everything was absolutely amazing! We were pleasantly surprised because, after reading some reviews, we expected things to be much worse. In reality, this place exceeded all our expectations. The resort is superb! The food is incredibly delicious and perfectly clean—you can see they are constantly cleaning and washing everything. The grounds are beautiful and very spacious. Regarding the A La Carte restaurants: many people write that it's hard to get a table, but that’s not true at all. It is very easy to book a reservation online through the app without standing in lines. The check-in process was smooth and fast. We requested a room in Building 1 with a frontal sea view and a specific floor before our arrival, and the staff gave us exactly what we asked for. While the hotel itself has a bit of a vintage feel and is slightly "tired" in terms of age, everything inside the rooms is in great condition. Most importantly, the mattresses are absolutely new and very comfortable! Separately, I would like to mention the excellent value for money — the service is absolutely great for this price point.

The service staff in the restaurant were very kind, worked very hard - Ernesto and Joel were constantly coming by our table to provide service, even the early morning after working a very late new years party. The private pools at our enormous room was really a cool feature. There were a significant number of Mexican families also on vacation so it didn't feel like a hotel of American tourists. The pools had almost nobody in them the whole stay which made it very quiet and relaxing

the hotel suite was compact, economical, bettter than expected. the small kitchen was perfect. i picked up a few store items to prepare my own coffee and small breakfast. i had trouble working the electric stove but help was immediately available, Marina, Heidi and others were super professionsal and available. Great stay!

We first went to Bucerias in 2018 and on this last trip, 2026 the town had grown more than we expected. More restaurant's, accommodations, medical and dental facilities, shopping. The beaches were pretty much the same, just busier. We always enjoyed the surrounding areas of Bucerias which are all very easy to get too by bus, taxi or Uber.

We've basically lived here off and on for the last 2 years while prepping our sailboat to jump to Polynesia. The local community couldn't be friendlier and more welcoming, and the Bay is beautiful. We love this place.

This is a great time of year to go to Vallarta.

This is a great time of year to go to Vallarta. After Easter and mid May. It is hot but not too hot and before the rainy season. Reasonable prices and not too busy with tourists. The food is generous in restaurants and excellent. Only the airline gouged us on the flights :( even though both flights were not full. Thanks WJ. The Zona Romantica is interesting and easy to walk around. Although there is not a lot to do in PV. A week or two is sufficient. We were there for a dance festival so were were very busy. Nice beaches. Lovely people.

Perfect weather, loved Bucerías and markets. The pool was fabulous! The apartment was poorly equipped and we lost much time waiting for repairs, wrong internet code until last couple days. Will not return to this location. Fridge, door lock, air conditioner, internet all broken, waited for repairs. No English communication, but met many lovely people. Highly recommend Rhythms of the Night show.

Fish market in La Cruz is excellent, artisanal market on Sundays is great. We took a taxi to Bucerias for a big grocery shop, not much choice in La Cruz. We prepared our own evening meals so we don’t know about the restaurants. And we’re too old to party so I have no comment on that scene.

We love Puerto Vallarta and spend 3 weeks there each April and November. You can walk a block and be in a fully Mexican area or stay in the area of your hotel or apartment. Everywhere seems safe. You can eat at fancy restaurants or in really great inexpensive ones catering to local people. Wonderful beaches, all sorts of excursions, and you can walk safely for kilometers within the city. November through April the weather is warm and dry.
