Hotel location is in a great place, surrounded by forests and provides fantastic sea view from our villa ( I was upgraded to a sea view villa - so much surprising even though I am a long-time and loyal Mariott/Ritz fan - thank you so much Brena ! Everything in this hotel was amazing - a territory is green and clean, breakfast is invariably rich and tasty, beach is not the best in Asia but good, villa was clean. Service is exceptional, attention to the details and treating the hotel guests as if they are a long time friends - it was so heartwarming and special. During our stay on villa, we were unexpectedly visited by a group of dusky leaf monkeys - shy, cute and delicate creatures - we were so happy to be able to watch them so close… Overall, we felt so close to the nature and frankly, Malaysia is certainly became one of my favorite… We loved our stay and we certainly will come back. Thank you Brena and team - you are truly special :)

Great locations, close to the airport. Nice and helpful staff who upgraded us for free. The room was spacious and it seems like they just renovated it. The bed was super comfortable and the pool area was nice to chill out at. We loved our stay and we would come back again. Although the hotel was 2 min walking from the airport, it was quiet and we slept really well.

A Tropical Jewel

Langkawi, as known as the jewel of Kedah, is the largest island in an archipelagio of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea. And a gem it certainly is, with lush scenery ranging from rice fields and rainforests to leaning palms on tropical beaches.

Of course, it’s the beaches that draw most visitors. Housing a good number of Langkawi hotels, Patai Cenang has the longest and most developed beach, and good nightlife. Neighbouring Pantai Tengah is more peaceful and a popular choice for families.

Langkawi Airport in the west is closest to Padang Matsirat. Just around the coast is the more secluded Burau Bay. The Telaga Tujuh waterfalls are nearby, and just north of its curving beach is the Langkawi Cable Car which travels into the heart of the rainforest, where the Sky Bridge provides amazing views.

Another sleepy beach is the northern Jalan Datai, home to a crocodile park. To the west Tanjung Rhu has one of the most scenic beaches, with bulbous, offshore islands reminiscent of many an action movie.

On the south of this duty-free island is the capital Kuah, whose most recognisable feature is the large eagle statue overlooking its harbour towards the islands beyond. This town has the largest concentration of apartments, motels and hotels in Langkawi on Booking.com.

This property is entirely unique. A stone’s throw from bustling Pantai Tengah, it is amazing how detached you can feel from the rest of the world when nestled in your canopy up in the rainforest. I came here for much needed relaxation after lots of travel, and Ambong delivered! It was so serene to sit on my terrace overlooking the distant water, watching the hornbills and monkeys. Breakfast was delicious and I also enjoyed dinner both nights at the Rimba restaurant. I also enjoyed a massage at the spa, and highly recommend it! The real cream of this experience was the staff who were so very kind and attentive. I will be back!

We had not planned on coming to this island but due to a...

We had not planned on coming to this island but due to a taxi drivers recommendation in Kuala Lumpur we added Langkawi to our adventure. The Sky cable car was the main reason for doing so and boy were we glad we did so. Along the drives around the island we were able to photograph many encounters with monkeys from our car and didn’t have to get out of our car. The beaches was a very tropical environment with many tourist options.

Kuah, Langkawi is such a charming and peaceful town! The waterfront views are beautiful, especially during sunset, and the atmosphere is relaxed yet lively. I loved exploring the local markets, enjoying delicious seafood, and taking evening walks near Eagle Square. The people were warm and welcoming, and everything felt clean and well-organized. It’s the perfect blend of nature, culture, and island vibes. A wonderful place to unwind and experience the true beauty of Langkawi!

We only used the beach in front of The Danna, but we could see the whole beach stretch out around the whole bay. It was clean, waveless and very pretty. We walked up to the lighthouse which was easy and gave you a good view of the beach and mountains/

The beach and views are stunning. The resort itself is very comfortable. The breakfast was good, however we found their breads and cakes to be a bit old. The Sands pool and bar is awesome, love the shady trees and cocktails. Happy hour is great The wildlife is really cute as well. Really enjoyed our stay here, wish it was longer

Its just a great vacation here.. the staff is so friendly and the place was just too great.. i wish they have a lift so that customer can bring up their stuff easily.. overall very satisfied and if have a chance will come again to this beautiful place..

The beach was clean, and the sea was calm, most of the time.

The beach was clean, and the sea was calm, most of the time. There were lots of creatures both on the beach and in the water. There were also monkeys , birds, bats, colugos and squirrels, making it a great place to observe and learn about nature

Nice tourist strip if you like that kind of thing with a wide variety of restaurants, shops and beach activities such as paragliding and jet skiing. Sebs, in particular, is an amazing little place great for breakfast/brunch with really good cafe and lovely staff.

Pantai Cenang is touristy, rent a car and drive around the island if you enjoy authentic local experiences. I tracked down the night market (it's a moving market, one place every night of the week), we went there and enjoyed it very much. We also went to Tanjung Rhu beach on the other side of the island.

As there is no much tourist attractions surrounding Kuah, I...

As there is no much tourist attractions surrounding Kuah, I just suggest to book rooms in Cenang area and roam using Grab taxis. If you stay in Kuah, It's better to hire a personal private rental vehicle. Cenang is bit costlier than Kuah but worth paying to cut your personal car requirement if you opt to stay in Kuah.

Langkawi and the people of langkawi as a whole are just beautiful. The scenery is mesmerising and so much to do. Cenang was a pleasure to visit and felt that everything was close by via my rental car.
