Trams are easy to navigate round the city with a pass, river cruise is a must, van Gogh museum too. Anne Frank house very humbling and you must book tickets in advance. The resistance museum was ok. Otherwise enjoying the city strolling around and exploring at your own pace. The city is amazing. Step out of the main city to the residential areas on the number 2 tram takes you past some lovely reasonable restaurants.Guest review byEmilyUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A very good hotel, spacious rooms, a nice and large lobby and well connected to public transport and the airport. I wouldn't stay here in summer though, the windows open a crack and there is very little ventilation.Guest review byRyan AlbuquerqueIndia - 10.0

Zandvoort was a good base with shops and restaurants. We visited the Circuit Park. We also enjoyed visiting Leiden by train and Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage site by car. We ate at the Bella Italian restaurant near the railway station and various other places.Guest review bySusanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The airport is very easy to navigate, staff are friendly and most speak English as well as Dutch. The train, which is in the same area as the airport, requires a credit card for each passenger but is very easy to tap on and off. If you are looking for a good flat white (if you know, you know), look carefully before you order - most places use automatic machines and the coffee is ordinary. Look for an espresso machine.Guest review byMACLAAustralia - 8.0

Reasonable cost for parking (anywhere in Europe frankly) is my motivation to look outside of centre of city areas and then use local transport or walk. Parking costs at hotels in our budget in Amsterdam city were very high - secure convenient Q-park station in Amsterveen was E18 per day compared to E40-50 a day at hotels closer to the centre.Guest review bySusanAustralia - 10.0

It is a small city, very clean, neat and attractive with interesting streets and canals. It has a very old large church with a magnificent organ in which cultural events are held regularly. There is a also a Stedelijk museum, worth a visit. It takes only 35 mins by train to reach Amsterdam. Fabulous countryside for cycling. Beach and North Sea close by.Guest review byGaeAustralia - 8.0

Many opportunities for eating out and close to the beach and nature. Relatively far from the other cities but not as far as De Cocksdorp: Den Burg or De Waal would be a better option if you want to be in a more central area, but everything is relatively close so it does not matter too much.Guest review byAnonymous
