Wow it’s like a uk top city centre hotel or anywhere London Paris but this is a little town in Portugal with a little castle. Food in the restaurant top quality. Pool on the top floor facilities top notch. I’ll stop now its sounds like I have shares in the place.😂😂😂

Beautiful hotel in the restored historic building of the Cistercian monastery. The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. There is a lovely warm welcome from the moment of check in to the moment of check out. The staff in the breakfast room are very kind and provide everything needed for a very enjoyable breakfast. It is situated just a few minutes walk from the bus terminus, which makes it easily accessible from Lisbon. We were joined by our son and his family for one night as they were travelling to Porto for their flight home. They had a beautiful room which was very large with a luxurious bathroom. They are looking forward to going again. Alcobaça is a very relaxing place with gorgeous restaurants and delicious food. I would highly recommend Montebelo Mosteira. I’m already looking forward to a return visit. Thank you all very much for making our holiday a wonderful experience.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful . We felt at home in the hotel . We loved our large suite it was superb only thing bad weather . Food we had at the hotel and the golf club house was lovely and breakfast I loved it wide variety of fruits cheeses breads eggs muesli etc and the beds very comfortable and excellent pillows . Definitely will come back again .

We absolutely loved our stay here. The place is so well thought out and exceptionally clean. The tents were big and very comfortable, with lovely decking to relax on. The staff were all very friendly and willing to help. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough to keep us going - both and hot and cold options available. We had the most incredible stay here and would definitely come back again.

Great location in the centre of Nazaré, close to the beach and also the local markets across the road. Undercover parking, a good pool to have a swim, a gym and breakfast was pretty good too. Only a short drive to see the waves from the headland or the funicular was a short walk away to take you to the top of the headland.

It's an ol fishing town that has been transformed for...

It's an ol fishing town that has been transformed for tourism as many other beach locations in the world. I do open waters swimming and the beach is really good for that (if the sea is calm) but do not forget your wet suit! Taking the funicular and visiting the old "Sítio da Nazaré" is worth the time and the views from the top of the cliffs. Walking around is easy but be warned that it is hilly, Strolling the promenade is very pleasant and you can decide if you want to be fighting other tourists on the shops an bars side or a calmer walk on the beach side.

Being from the Peniche area, you notice that it has been losing some of it's charm over the last few years. People should show some pride and help keep the city clean, too much dog pooh on the street!

It is an old medieval town with a well preserved castle and walls and obviously on the tourist route. Worth a visit for 2-3 hours. We arrived too late to visit the internals of the castle so not even sure if possible.

Sao Martinho do Porto has a lovely long beach with calm waters and plenty of space for walking. There are many restaurants with excellent choice of dining to suit all tastes and budgets. It is great place for a relaxing holiday and great place for children to enjoy the calm waters of the sea there.

a town with character and he’s just the right size for me. It has a pretty centre with so much within walking distance and with the advantage of a bike I could explore the edges of the city that seemed to have most large stores as one would expect for a town of that size. On my bike this visit I spent hours getting lost and found on the many small backstreets where I always found people to talk to and redirect me when lost. A friendly place. Great connections by bus and train, only an hour from Lisbon. And then a fabulous coast to explore by public transport or bicycle. Lots of great places to sit on taking the scenery from town cafés to country restaurants I love it. For me. Caldas da Rainha really has the wow factor

It is in easy reach of visiting the walled town on Obidos, Baleal and Peniche. Beautiful sandy beaches but always beware of the time of the tides. There are plenty of taxis but transport is necessary to visit other areas. There are no local shops, the nearest is in Serra D'el Rai the next village. For bigger supermarkets you have to go to Obidos or Peniche.

Lourinha is just a simple, small town.

Lourinha is just a simple, small town. Pleasant enough but not much in the way of charm or appeal but apart from visits to Lidle didn't spend much time there. My main attraction was the butcher! Worth a visit alone.

Such a lovely atmosphere in a beautiful part of Portugal.

Such a lovely atmosphere in a beautiful part of Portugal. Lots to see and do, with regular transport to widen your exploring of other towns and cities in Portugal. A beautiful country with beautiful people. I'll definitely be back!
