Room and bathroom was very clean. The environment was very quiet during the visit. Very nice neighbourhood for a walk and for enjoy in a fresh air. Breakfast was really good, domestic food was served, and personnel were very friendly.

Nestled in a nice spot on the Carso mountain, not far from Trieste, it offers an outdoor swimming pool, not very large in side, still very pleasant. I did not try the spa, but the impression of relax and tranquillity was already achieved. The real strength of the hotel is the fine resturant. About my room I liked the bathroom. Staff smiling and helpful. Italian and English spoken. Breakfast with both large choice and top quality products, just a pity I could not fully enjoy after the gargantuesque dinner the evening before.

We loved the place , wonderful family always ready to help , we loved the home made juices and fresh local farm food . It is a beautiful place and has beautiful surroundings . We enjoyed walking in the area with trees and and grass all around. It is set in a small village , we are also glad we decided to rent a car , few minutes from the highway but far enough not to hear any noise, so peaceful and quiet. A car is crucial also as public transport is not that close and great to visit many places. The little one wanted to stay all day there jumping on the trampoline 😀We also loved the mini goats, so cute😀 Awesome holiday.

We had an amazing stay at Zoi Apartments in Goriška Brda, often called the "Slovenian Tuscany." Luca, the host, was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our No. 5 apartment offered a breathtaking private view of the vineyards and rolling hills, and the ample parking space made everything convenient (we arrived with a bigger van). Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway!

The staff was very helpful. Although I came after midnight due to problems with the flight and trains, they waited for me. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good, with excellent coffee.

The town itself is nothing special but it's worth visiting...

The town itself is nothing special but it's worth visiting because of the cave and its beautiful natural surroundings. But be beware that the cave is extremely well visited, so it's more like a conveyer belt with thousands visiting every day. The famed castle is 10 km away from the main entrance to the cave, so you should have a car or be an experienced hiker if you wish to visit both on the same day.

The location is very easy to find, free parking lot for guests. The conditions exceeds any expectation for 2 stars. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. We asked for a hairdryer and we got it immediately. Anyone who wants a fair priced accomodation with excellent conditions should consider this place.

We didn't see much of it, we were on a flight between Tyrol and Bibione. During this short time we felt comfortable, the accommodation was good, the people were nice. Everything we needed was within reach. Thank you for your hospitality! We hope to see you again!

Dobrovo was a very nice area with some nice wineries, highly recommend Edi Simcic ~ Felix was amazingly fun. It was rainy during our stay, so we will unable to do ebikes, however this would be a great activity in better weather. Belvin was a nice restaurant nearby with grilled meats and vegetables, along with salads and pizza. Maravida House is a great Airbnb with a wonderful property (3 rooms) and a very kind and helpful host, Jacob!

A quiet and less traveled corner of Slovenia with excellent wine, food, cycling trails, caves to explore. Within easy driving distance of the seaside and Piran for a daytrip as well as some adventures into the Julian Alps.

Divača is a quiet town/village on the railwy line between...

Divača is a quiet town/village on the railwy line between Ljubljana and Koper. It is very close to both Lipica and to skočjanske Jame. These caves are my favourites in Slovenia, although not to be visited if you have a problem walking.. The park surrounding the caves is very beautiful too. Divača itself is quiet, but has a Cinema museum, which is popular with those interested in early silent films. There area few trains three each day, and also a bus service during the week. Not at the weekend, however, as I found to my cost on another occasion when I drove a friend's car home for her - and then found there were no buses on Saturdays by which to travel back to the coast!, and the next train would have kept me late for my meeting. Luckily, there were others around to heading the same way. While Skočjam and Lipica are open all year, there are also smaller caves in the area which are open only in the tourist season. To drive there from the coast takes about 30 minutes, and about the same driving time will take you to Postojna and the more famous caves there, or to Predjamskigrad, an amazing Castle , most of which is inside the mountain, hence its name - the castle in front of the cave.

The apartmend we stayed is perfect.

The apartmend we stayed is perfect. It is located in a small village just 5 minutes from the next big town called Ajdovščina. The nature is pure perfection. The mountains, the roads. Host will help you make a plan, as he is really nice and helpful.

The town itself is very quiet and perfect for riding bikes around the wineries. The eating out locations are limited but we managed to.secure an outside table at the castle, which was lovely. Get an E bike. We used a local firm called DIM bikes who delivered the bikes and picked them up. Don't forget to ask for a phone holder to navigate.

Very good hotel, ideal for visiting Postojna or on the way to the Adriatic Sea. Very warm and courteous welcome, super rich and yet inexpensive breakfast. Despite its proximity to the main road, the room was very quiet. Air conditioning is available, but we didn't need it. We can fully recommend this hotel.

Great hiking trails but you really need a car to get around. We were on foot which limited what we could do. We walked over 12 km daily and did very little. Most of the places to visit were out of reach.
