We loved everything about this resort, staff working soo hard and they are super kind! all resort dogs and cats were cute would take them home :) resort is in the middle of island and easy to get to main town also beach is nice and easy to walk to another beaches next to our resort. it was like heaven on the earth. Bed comfortable AC was working good btw great bfast really enjoyed variety + restaurant view
Just bring enought money - there is no ATM at island but easy to exchange money

The service is top quality. All the staff was friendly, helpful and service minded.
Tanya really take care for us when we need.
We have been there 3 times before and like to come back again on day.
The beach and water quality is great.
It is weary private and relaxing.

We had a great stay here! The resort is beautiful and well maintained, breakfast is very tasty with a lot of options to choose from and our cabin was very clean and comfortable. Staff is kind and helpful, they provided us with bath towels to chill on the beach and stored our luggage until we could check-in.

The cottages were very clean, beds were comfy and it is right on the beach. You get a beach towel and beach bag which is very convenient. It is close to 7-11 and the main street, yet a bit secluded from any neighbours so it is quite at night. We had a great stay and enjoyed it a lot.

If you're looking for a quiet place to vibe and chill, Ao Phutsa is it! It's about a 10 minute songtaew ride to the main beach area, so you can get to all of the bars and shops when you want, but it's also far enough away that all you can hear is the sound of the waves. The sunrise over the Gulf of Thailand is stunning, the ocean breeze is delightful, and a sunset swim in the clear water of the bay is a must. I honestly spent most mornings reading on the porch of my room, enjoying the breeze and the views, and befriending the local cats and dogs. There are a few cafes that serve a mix of Thai and Western foods. All in all, it's great. But I also hope not *too* many people go, lol.

To be honest Koh Samet is not for us.
To be honest Koh Samet is not for us. I understand the attraction being 2.5hrs from Bangkok and has some beautiful beaches but the size of the island and transportation means you feel completely condensed.
We went low season (flooding and National emergency in Bangkok). Was quiet but still felt condensed. The beaches on the south east and north wes are indeed beautiful. Less so the north. We stayed at Ao Cho Hideaway and although i would no recommend the beach the resort Low season was one of the best.
High season Koh Samet would be a highly condensed stressful experience. Lack of decent roads and transportation. Small amount of space. Lack of quality resturants and high costs i would avoid unless resort resturants ith high occupancy, fireshows and people fightlng for space and beach loungers is you thing.
High season go to Koh Chang. Low season on a short break and easy access from Bangkok then Koh Samet but be mindful what i have said.
Another consideration is that if like us you enjoy relaxing on our balcony with the qut and nature with a few cold beers from 7-eleven and your own snacks the you have a logistial issue. If you like easting authentic thai food at normal prices than you have a logistical issue. if your hotel is in the south. Local mini markets will be 100thb for cold big Singha. .
For people who say Koh Samet is one of the most beautiful islands i can assure you it is not. It s a convenient island that has some beautiful beaches but not the best.

Koh Samet is the most underrated island in Thailand, I always stay at the Sky Cottage resort, which has a superb quiet location, and just 150m from a beach made in paradise. The restaurants and bars at beach side are the best on the island, with a very decent price range, and exceptionally good menu.
The Trio bar was good fun too, nearby. Timtub beach and amenities are perfect, for a holiday from 3 days to 30 days, you will never get bored in this part of Koh Samet. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
