Lampang is a great little city and the hotel is in a fantastic spot right near the market and the park with an exercise track that locals head to in the evening. The owner was very helpful and sorted a taxi to the Sky Pagodas (we got there early and it was well worth it). The rooms are a good size, clean and the beds are large doubles. There is a good area with cutlery and crockery for sitting and having breakfast.

The owner is a great lady with class and style. She speaks fluently English. She and her wonderful secretary will do whatever they can to make you feel good. The hotel offers a luxury car with driver to bring you to the places you like to visit. We originally came to Lampang for 4 days, but we like it here so much, that we extended our stay. 😊 Hug Lampang Hotel is great: - staff is kind and helpful, they do speak some basic English. - rooms are big and bright and are cleaned everyday (daily fresh towels, toilet paper and bottled water), - balcony is a nice addition if you have to dry some synthetic clothes, which are not allowed to go into the dryer (I recommend some drying strings for other customers - I always have mine on me when i travel). - their free bicycles for customers are awesome, we used them almost everyday (it is easy to get around the city, just remember to drive on the left side of the road) - the road noise stops in the evening at around 10 PM and is very quiet till 7 or 8 AM, so you can get a good night's sleep.

The location is great. Center Lampang and easy access from the highway. The staff are welcoming, waiting for us late into the evening. The check in was a breeze and the receptionist spoke very good English. We ordered breakfast for the next day and it came out in good order at 7am. Very comfortable beds and aircon worked the entire time. Very clean room and the beer from the on site restaurant was the best I’ve had in Thailand. Icy cold and super friendly staff. Everything is super clean and spacious. Perfect for a young family of 4.

The hotel we very easy to find. Very friendly "English" speaking staff, excellent restaurant, clean room, soft bed, good shower, and overall feeling was very positive. Easy to walk around the area, pharmacy nearby, excellent Thai massage on the other side of the road of a really good coffee and art shop called "Jojo's Coffee & Cake".

The room was huge, with a stunning view over Lampang and the mountains. Every sunset and sunrise was spectacular, we were lucky to see several of them. The wi-fi was good, the shower was nice, and the armchair was comfy. Close to the night market, just over the footbridge. The bed was so big and comfy, we slept amazing.

The room was clean and comfortable. The little balcony gave a good view of the city. We had a little fridge to keep water cool and any food in. The staff were very helpful and despite the language barrier went above and beyond to help with booking excursions and giving recommendations.

Despite having a fair amount of traffic and substantial...

Despite having a fair amount of traffic and substantial commercial and retail areas, most of Lampang feels quiet and relaxing. It's a clean, neat and tidy place. Above all, it feels safe. The river winds through the town and there are several bridge crossing it, some only for pedestrians and bicycles. There are plenty of restaurants and shops. It's the sort of place that feels like it's always Sunday afternoon: snoozing rather than buzzing! I loved it.

I came to visit family and celebrate Songkran. Very beautiful and friendly people. It is a small town in the country but it is worth living such an experience. It is also worth going to a massage, parlor where the employees are people with disabilities or blind. Lamphun is a small town with friendly, smiling people everywhere. If I visit Thailand again, I’d love to come back and stay longer. Walking around the town, you can see many temples and experience the local charm.
