Comfortable apartment with plenty of space to stay more than a few nights. Quiet back street but really close to Market Village for all your food and other shopping needs. Had a small gym and pool as well as provided coffee and snacks on the roof from morning till early afternoon. Staff were great and the room was very clean. Also has laundry on the property for visitors use.

Having lived and worked in more hectic parts of Thailand, I have found Hua Hin a bit boring in a good kind of way. The relaxed pace of life makes it a good place to take it easy for a few days. The early morning train to Bangkok makes Hua Hin a good place to be based when you have a day of things to do in the capital.

Nice beach, some activities, Kajak, ATV, restaurant, massage places, some caves. Some hotels are specifically kids friendly. Good beach if you want to relax or for a family. Not really for party people, only if you bring everyone for your party yourself. Also bring Moskito spray!

Easy laid-back resort, great islands & mountain scenery, fishing boats, food (especially fresh seafood), bicycle and motorcycle hire, hassle free, evening street markets, temples, regular bus & train service connections. My only complaint would be the humidity out walking or cycling. Take a long sleeve shirt and hat if you don't want sunburn.

You will need transportation—a motor bike or car—to explore the area. We were able to rent a motorbike through Palm Pran Resort. The roads are calm and navigation was easy. It was a fun way to explore the beaches and forest parks.

Ban Krut is a small and quiet coastal town, popular with retirees who stay for longer periods. Food and drinks are affordable, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. The beach can be quite rough due to strong currents, so swimming is not always ideal. The people are kind and welcoming. We stayed for six days and could have stayed four, but still really enjoyed the peaceful pace.

It's ok BUT........

It's ok BUT........Owner needs to invest on better toilet seat, that fits,.Better shower, and a bin in the rooms for rubbish. 2 rooms had none. Plus no glasses . Expected more Pond outside is nice but the grounds of the hotel has rubbish n left over bottles n cans in it. Wifi is poor, drops in and out. Garden needs cleaning n pruning. Not too much to ask for , is it ? It's clear the owner has not invested in the rooms and gardens upkeep which is a shame.

Walking area needs a little work as I’m sure they can remove some stones and flatten to make it easier for walking to your villa. Needs a better off ramp as quite a few older people struggle to get on and off . Needs a few fans in restaurant to keep mosquitoes away and make it a little cooler. We loved it so much will go back next Valentines. Staff great and cater to your every need. Most enjoyable 4day stay

Hua Hin for me just offers a slightly slower pace particularly at this time of year. It’s not as sleazy as other parts of Thailand but still offers everything you need. Tuck-tucks, taxis and motorbike taxis are always close by. I love a live band and you can normally find that most nights in town with a great selection of restaurants to choose from all at a great price

Arrive at Lungcha homestay in the afternoon. Make a boat trip at sunset (starting point directly in front of the homestay). The lake with thousands of lotus flowers and birds is phantastic. They offer a 150.- baht dinner in Thai style (a bit oily, but good and plenty). Next morning do another sunrise trip: it is very different, because the light is different, there are more birds, the lotus flowers are open, the atmosphere is just magic. Costs 500,- baht for the boat (takes up to four people). Breakfast at Lungcha included and check out. There is not much to do or see near the homestay, perhaps you can stroll to the Ranger IV station in about 20 min, there is a small stripe of beach and access to the lake.

This place is a gem.

This place is a gem. We visited in early November and were lucky to witness the Loy Krathong Festival. It seems to be slightly off the tourist route but it has everything we needed for a very memorable stay. There is a super weekend night market where you can try a variety of local food and snacks. There are a number of good coffee shops and restaurants serving local and western food. The temple on the hill is well worth visiting (the views are fabulous) as is the beach at Ao Manao. You can hire bicycles (50 baht per day) and cycle round the headland to the beautiful Kao Tha Mong Lai Forest Park, near Ao Noi. Altogether, Prachuap Khiri Kan is a really lovely place to visit.
