Very clean and comfortable room (the shared bathrooms were also very clean). Terrace with a view. The hosts are really nice and provide breakfast each morning. We appreciated being able to use the kitchen and refrigerator. Parking right in front of the house. Peaceful location...any easy walk to the small town center for restaurants/cafes/shops. WIFI worked well.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We were a group of 9 adults and a toddler and the hotel was more than perfect to accommodate us. We had wonderful Tunisian meals and they even had a high chair for my son. The rooms were beautiful with charming decor and cozy vibes. It was too cold for us to sit outside and enjoy the views, but the property and pool were gorgeous! The staff were quick to reply to messages and treated us so well. The location is a great launch point to drive the circuit of southern Tunisia. Highly recommend staying here!

The hotel is very unique, every room is a cave. It's similar to the famous Sidi Driss, only it looks much cleaner, and you don't have tourist going around. We were very glad we stayed there. Everything was very clean, much cleaner than "normal" hotels we stayed earlier in our trip. There is private bathroom, even though it's not near your room, it is dedicated to you. We stayed there in November, and we actually were the only guests.
I highly recommend getting dinner there as well. The food was delicious, it was cooked right there by owners and was very good.

An amazing stay and a truly one-of-a-kind experience! The property is full of character—immaculately maintained with thoughtful design touches, like individual bedside light switches. The warm hospitality and exceptional meals make staying here an easy choice.
We especially enjoyed dining with other guests. Despite the language barrier, we connected with the French ladies at our table, with host Patrick kindly translating. It was a delightful surprise to have such an authentic French experience in Tunisia. Writing in the guest book with ink for the first time made it even more special.
Staying here is worth it for the dinner alone—the most delicious way to taste camel meat and dates!

Perfectly located in the small town of Matmata. The room was big with two bedrooms and a lounge. It had a restaurant but didn’t serve alcohol. We could park the car off the road. It was inexpensive so we didn’t expect much, but were pleasantly surprised.

A unique and unusual experience, an opportunity to experience the local culture, preserved much better than in most places. A must-visit is the small but cute Dar Khadi museum. On the way, stop at an authentic house where a Berber family still lives - Dar Maryam-Etouati (https://maps.app.goo.gl/kBe6eCD8zw5UhZG5A) Very hospitable!
