This was honestly the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The service was amazing, and the interior design was calm and elegant. One of the standout features was the Japanese-style Toto toilet – a nice luxury touch. But the absolute highlight was the bathroom: a private hot spring bath in a stone tub, just like a traditional onsen. A truly special experience that made this stay unforgettable!

Everything is perfect to meet our travel needs, and the breakfast was awesome. The room was big, clean and comfortable. The room has got everything that we expected. The hot spring bath in the room just gave us a relaxing time in private. The Starbucks and the bakery on the ground floor were convenient for a tea time, the bread and cookies were very nice and yummy in the bakery.

Helpful and friendly staff, I particularly like the spacious and comfortable lobby, well decorated with Chinese antique, a quiet and comfortable library corner and a mini bar with free coffee and snack. My room was upgraded free to a deluxe family room, with good Mountain View. The free shuttle bus is convenient to commute to the train station. Everything in the room is clean and well-designed to suit the needs of a family with kids. Kids will never feel bored with the toys in the room and the children’s playroom on the third floor! Highly recommended for family vacations.

The plates served both in dinner and breakfast were all amazingly well made. You can feel how much effort the restaurant did to design and arrange the presentation of different dishes. I’m amazed at the first glance, and even more after taking the bite. One will find western and eastern cooking culture in their breathtaking buffet restaurant. Totally amazing, as an overseas Taiwanese, I would say this is the first place I’ll recommend for international visitors.

We booked very last minute due to change of plans and we were so delighted we chose this hotel. We were upgraded to a suite which was a great surprise. We loved the outdoor rooftop hot spring pool and really felt so relaxed after a hectic couple of days. Another nice offering was the free happy hour wine at 6pm. Really good hotel, the rooms are nice and the breakfast was amazing. The grounds on the hotel are pleasant for a walk but also contain a really nice setting. There is a lounge with free coffee and tea and cookies, and in the room you are supplied with drinks and snacks as well. For kids is a nice themed room. The staff is very polite.

Interesting town. Not geared up for western tourism much.

Interesting town. Not geared up for western tourism much. Sidewalks patchy so it's really for people who can walk well. Good restaurants but a bit of mandarin helps in many of them. Matcha mountain is a great hike, we walked from the hotel in town so a round trip was the guts of a day and 30,000 steps but you can get a bus or grab to the start point. The train to town from Jiufen is good and has great views. All on the same easy card as the Taipei metro. Only place to change cash is the bank which closes on Christmas and weekends. The main hot spring park is great, it's separated and naked (probably optional but everyone was naked), the water was fantastic, clear and not sulphurous, and it was quite cheap. There are some shrimp fishing and foot baths with fish if you like that. Beer is very hard to find if you don't want to drink in your room. We went to a volcano chicken place on Xmas day which was fantastic, but we accidentally drank 5 bottles of Taiwan 18 days each and my wife had a horrible hangover. Weather misty and drizzly in December but 15-22 C. Merry Xmas!

Nice enough city. Enough shops for choice of things. The Forestry Park, and The Sports Park excellent places to visit and relax. Good train service. Good coffee shops. Lots of places to eat, lots of choice. Easy city to get around. Good night market.

Great place for leisure and relaxation. The place has a laid back and relaxing atmosphere. People are accommodating and friendly. There are many things and sites to enjoy. I love the street foods, hot spring and the calm and peaceful ambience.

It is a quiet town and a walkable downtown area.

It is a quiet town and a walkable downtown area. The beach is nearby and a surfing mecca. Most restaurants close at 6 or 7pm and by 9pm the town is completely shutdown except 7 Eleven. Great place if you like the quiet town or just for surfing. If you prefer a vibrant nightlife or night market, JiaoXi or Luodong is better choice.

I went there because of the fireworks and it is spectacular. There were a lot of stalls selling snacks, food, and craft works and there were beautiful lights along the river so while waiting for the fireworks, you can spend the time with a leisure and yummy walk.

Every morning we wandered along the paved roads of Sanxing flanked by farms and occasional B&Bs —scenic, peaceful, and almost comically quiet. I joked that we saw only one car every ten minutes. Naturally, we decided to put that theory to the test during our hour-long stroll… and to our surprise, the data backed me up. There are numerous scenic trails nearby. We were fortunate to witness the annual marathon. Having been to 17 marathons in the US, we were very impressed by the friendly vibes.

The major attractions and waterfalls in the area are not accessible yet due to the earthquake. There is no other attractions in the area except the hot springs. So a short stay is recommended until the waterfall trails open.

Always have a fondness for Ilan, Luodong is definitely a beautiful county for people to visit and stay for like 3~4 days. You'll love it if you also like the country life but not far away from the convenient city life.

Yilan city is a suburban area.

Yilan city is a suburban area. If you like to experience the countryside but not that far in the city, Yilan is very recommended. There are so much activities to be done and a lot of off the beaten paths are worth the visit.

I loved the quiet, small town feel. Everything was convenient & there were many restaurants to choose from. Waiao beach is also very near, which is awesome to surf at. Definitely want to come back whenever we have the chance!
