FranceWe had an excellent week at Lujo Zanzibar; the staff are lovely. We were pampered; the rooms are comfortable, and Lujo caters to your every need to make each moment special. For my partner's birthday, we were treated to a beautifully decorated private dinner, a floating breakfast, a private breakfast on our terrace, and floral decorations in our room. I highly recommend Lujo and would definitely return if I ever come back to Zanzibar.

TurkeyFirst of all, the fact that the property is located in Jambiani is a great advantage for tourists, as it is both a safe and well-developed area. From the very first moment we arrived at the hotel, we were welcomed with warm smiles, and we were extremely satisfied with the staff’s attentiveness and the quality of service. They were always helpful, incredibly kind, and genuinely friendly.
The design, comfort, and spacious living areas of the residence we stayed in made us realize once again that we had made the right choice. As an architect, I was particularly impressed by the hotel’s common areas, landscape design, and the circulation relationship between the buildings and their surroundings. The architectural approach of the property was truly impressive in terms of both aesthetics and functionality. The architect behind this project has done an outstanding job.
I would also like to express special thanks to the hotel manager, Mara. She was an incredibly sweet, caring, and elegant person. She took wonderful care of us throughout our stay. We would also like to sincerely thank the team for the surprise birthday celebration and room decorations prepared for my cousin, which made us very happy. It was a truly thoughtful gesture.
We greatly enjoyed our time here and truly grew fond of everyone. We hope to see you again soon.

It is the most beautiful and relaxing place I have ever been to. The deco is a unique mixture between local and Jamaican culture. There are so many beautiful little hideouts where you can just lay down and relax. The pool is extraordinary. The food in the restaurant is incredible and at a very good price. The staff is so friendly and genuine. The discrete music is a beautiful mixture between african vibes and raggae. And also, we were not bothered by not having a beach. When the tide was low we walked around admiring little șea creatures and we visited the village nearby. When the tide was high we swam around. I fully and absolutely recommend this place.

What was there not to like?
Everything was perfect.
We went on our honeymoon and had an amazing time. Our room was very big but confy at the same time.
The pool has the right size and the sunbeds are to die for. A lot of natural shades were a big plus ( the sun is so strong that we could only be in the shades )
The bathroom is amazing.!!! The outdoor shower is great to cooldown during the day and the bathtub is perfect for a relaxing bath during the hottest hours of the day
We left the room to go for breakfast and dinner.
Otherwise the room has everything you need.
A cofee maker, a water heater, bottles of water are given every day, fruit

Already on arrival we were blown away by the staff and their amazing friendliness and attentivness. They made us feel very special.
The design and furnishing of all areas is a treat to all senses from the beautiful woodwork to the brass details capturing the light to the lush gardens. It's a place you can totally relax at and loose yourself in.

Great location right on the beach! The room was amazing, and the staff made us feel at home. The beach bar had wonderful drinks. The restaurant served amazing food with good portion size. Highly recommend going snorkeling with Captain Zappy!

Paje was my favorite area of Zanzibar.
Paje was my favorite area of Zanzibar. I feel that it has the perfect mix of relaxation, parties, activities, and good food/drinks. I was skeptical at first because I heard others complain about the drastic tide. I was pleasantly surprised, though! I actually did my best swimming here in Paje. When the tide was high, the water was super clear and warm, and the early morning/evening sunset swims were my favorite part of the trip. People were friendly and respectful, and I felt very safe here as a solo traveler. I had Fish Pakora and Pina Coladas every evening at Mahali, which was the best place ever! Beautiful beach front bar and restaurant at the hotel with INCREDIBLE and fun staff! <3

We loved the accommodation in a beautiful garden setting. Comfortable cottage with aircon and small kitchen. Lovely breakfast nook under a bedouin in garden. Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast. We had a delicious dinner cooked by the hosts. We should’ve stayed a day longer. Jambiane is a lovely beach town. We went snorkeling in the am and sailing in the afternoon on a wooden sail boat. Jambiane snorkeling and beach restaurants are also the most affordable in Zanzibar thus far.

Kizimkazi Beach is a wonderful place if you’re looking for peace and authenticity. It’s much quieter than Paje and has a very natural, untouched atmosphere, with lots of local fishing boats along the shore. There are also some great and affordable restaurants right on the beach. The locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even more special. A perfect spot to slow down and enjoy the authentic side of Zanzibar.

Bwejuu is a beautiful place! Zanzibar beach escape ocean front villa and boutique was a horrible place and I had a bad experience but in the neighborhood are amazing hotels! Few minutes away I managed to book sand beach boutique hotel and I have enjoyed my 13 nights here! Highly recommend the sand beach

Beautiful beach, warm and calm ocean to swim in. Lots of eating options, amazing people. Yes, there are people trying to sell you things on the beach - but was quieter than other beaches (Like Paje) and they are all respectful.

This place is a gem! A new hotel with a big heart, right by the ocean, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a stunning pool. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the breakfast is fresh and delicious, and very friendly staff. Paje is a fantastic place if you’re looking for a relaxed, lively beach atmosphere. The area has beautiful beaches, plenty of great cafés, restaurants and beach bars, and is especially popular for kite surfing. The constant breeze is also a welcome relief from the tropical heat.
The tides can be quite extreme, so swimming isn’t always possible, and the beach can get windy. You may also be approached by local vendors offering tours or goods, but overall, we really enjoyed Paje’s laid-back atmosphere and would happily visit again.

What I loved most was how kind the staff is.
What I loved most was how kind the staff is. Mostafa made sure the meals were served well. I saw him planning everything…lol. The spa experience also, 10/10. The shows at night were interesting. The gym is also decent but they can improve it for sure. The towel station is far from the main swimming pool. I wished there was one closer instead of going all the way near the reception.

Quite a rural area with many street shops.
Quite a rural area with many street shops. Hotels are a short walk from Jambiani Street and on the beach. Mostly an area for R&R tourists with some sports and other outdoor activities. The beach is covered with locals trying to sell you anything. Interesting to experience the area, but we are unlikely to return.
