We had an amazing stay and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The service was exceptional, and every member of the staff was friendly, welcoming, always smiling, and incredibly polite. They made us feel completely comfortable throughout our stay. The entire resort was spotless and beautifully maintained. We loved the pool and the pool bar, and we ended up enjoying every part of the resort. The restaurant served delicious food, also the breakfast that was included. The beachfront location is perfect and made it very easy for us to walk along the beach to other places we wanted to visit. Our room was immaculate, beautifully organized, and smelled wonderful. We had a balcony overlooking the beach, and waking up to that view every day was unforgettable.

Talk about 5 star service on a budget. I got there to a specially curated, handwritten note welcoming me. The place is elegant, easy to access, modern, safe with fully functional utilities and close attention to detail.

The hotel is located on a beautiful stretch of beach, everything was very clean and beautiful, the food was very delicious, the staff was wonderful, especially the charming Peter who always makes sure we don't miss anything. The entire staff is always smiling and willing to help... We really enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend it.

The hotel is small but has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are sincere and make you feel like a guest rather than a customer. We tried the massage service and were very happy with it. Great value for money and We didn’t need to research tours separately in Zanzibar. The island tour we booked through the hotel went smoothly. Timing and transportation were very well organized.

The entire team was incredibly friendly, always smiling, and always available whenever we needed anything. Their genuine hospitality made us feel very welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay. One of our favorite moments was when they arranged for us to cook the sesame bread together with the chef. It was such a lovely and personal experience, and they even kindly gave us the recipe when we asked for it. We absolutely loved it! Overall, an exceptional experience with an amazing team. Beautiful views and great sized rooms! The staff were all very friendly and it was nice that they remembered your name throughout your stay!

The hotel is located next to the beach with ocean view. Breakfasts are very delicious and fresh. In the restaurant there os an option to eat and drink something with ocean view too. Staff cleans rooms twice every day. There are local cosmetics available in the bathroom and still water. Each guest receives beach towels. The staff is very helpful. I recommend this palce in 1000% :)

Great value for the price. Close to the beach, personnel were great, rooms clean, beds comfortable, AC and wi-fi were working fine, breakfast was delicious. All was great!

We have the best time of our life, Beautiful location, and such wonderful hospitality and cleanliness. All staff are so helpful and friendly. We would wanted to visit again for sure if we are in Zanzibar.

It’s just perfect as it is. We had an amazing time in the hotel. We fall in love from the first moment of arrival. Very warm welcoming people, helpful and always there to assist us. We felt like a family there. The hotel it’s looks like in the photos and to be honest looks better in reality. Very cosy. The food was really delicious.

Johari Beach Resort is probably one of the best places on Zanzibar.

From the time we stepped into the property, we knew we were in the perfect place. Calm, peaceful with the sound of birds to greet you as soon as you walk into the reception. The staff are absolutely out of this world- their kindness was remarkable. I find it hard to mention all the names here, as each and every single member of staff was exceptionally warm and helpful- to find this is extremely rare. Benjamin helped us out in literally almost everything- including arranging for some medication and testaments for our baby girl. Nitin, the bar manager helped arrange a custom baby chair for her as well and checked on us everyday. The general manager himself lent us the baby chair from his house- it was a truly heartwarming gesture.The property itself is green, lush, luxurious and absolutely opulent. Going for bike rides was something we looked forward to as the beautiful Zanzibar breeze lifted us away into a magical world of nature and its bliss. The backyard pool only steps away from the sea was something we absolutely loved as well. Now coming to the food- the food was magnificent and the service in both restaurants more than perfect. Service with a smile all the way! We looked forward to the meals while we walked down or biked down to the restaurant- anticipating what would be on offer that day :) Grill station was OMG ! The dinner entertainment was also carefully selected- not too loud, just right and very very enjoyable! We will miss this stay for a long long time, no matter where we go, there was something uniquely beautiful about the place.

Everything was amazing: the big and comfortable room, the two super relaxing pools, the location at a beautiful beach, the super nice staff and the superb food!

The service at Lujo Hotel was truly exceptional. Despite some electricity interruptions during our stay, the staff — and especially the management — went above and beyond in the most heartfelt way. They were present, caring, and incredibly generous in how they handled everything. We felt genuinely looked after, and their professionalism and kindness turned a challenge into a positive memory. This is hospitality at its best.

The staff is super frendly and helpfull, the room is very confortable, there is a nice pool that I didn't use just because the sea was right there as well. Having breakfast or lunch looking at the sea was amazing, it was also walking distance of all kiosks and restaurants by the beach. The hotel was full booked but it felt confortable and cozy anyway.
