Everything! Can't wait to come back here- we have travelled for 10 weeks and this was definitely one of the favourites. Highly recommend taking a few days here to relax. It's quiet and out the way from all the busy parts of the island which we loved. We felt no need to leave except to do a snorkelling and beach fresh seafood BBQ day which was amazing. However they do tours if you want to visit other parts. Our room had amazing ocean views and we loved jumping straight into the ocean in high tide or walking along the sandbar in low tide. The food was amazing- we loved every meal and even did a cooking class with the chef on our request. Can't recommend a massage enough. The best part however was definitely the staff- they were some of the nicest I have ever come across and made us feel like family.

Just got back from an absolute ripper of a stay at Aya Beach Resort, and I couldn't wait to share the good vibes. This place is a real beaut, mate! From the moment we rocked up, the staff were top-notch—super friendly and always up for a chat. The rooms were ace, spotless, and as comfy as a roo in a paddock. We stayed in one of their beachfront villas, and let me tell ya, waking up to that view every morning was pure bliss. And the food? Crikey, it was delicious! The resort's restaurant dishes up some seriously tasty grub. Fresh seafood, exotic fruits, and cocktails that hit the spot every time. We even tried some local delicacies—bloody fantastic! One arvo, we joined a dolphin excursion organized by the resort, and it was a hoot. Seeing those dolphins up close was unreal. We also did a blue safari—totally worth it! Aya Beach Resort, you've won our hearts. If you're looking for a top-notch getaway with all the bells and whistles, this is your spot. We'll definitely be back for more!

Outstanding hosts at Mandarin, feels just like home! We had a pleasant 2-nights stay and it was total relaxation for us. The ambience was great, very clean, all the staff were great, Chef Amir made the best of dishes (breakfast was also top notch) and extra stars for the GM Mr. Hany! There are different activities at Mandarin but unfortunately, we were only there to basically eat, sleep and enjoy the beach though I am sure they would be just as great. If you are looking for a great affordable place in Zanzibar then Mandarin Resort it is!
