EVERYTHING!! When i stepped in here, all my worries faded away, no jokes😅 I absolutely LOVED IT. Before I booked this place I saw that all the reviews were 5/5 and it felt a little suspicious to me, but I kid you not, you will have ZERO complaints. It’s so beautiful, the staff are helpful, ambience is heavenly! Oh my! Please book the Oasis, you’ll be thankful you did. Amazing doesn’t cut it really !

Sand Beach Hotel is fantastic! Just a block from the beach with amazing sea views from the upper terrace. The staff (Shelby , Doris, Rose, Nasra and Teddy) is simply the best — so friendly and helpful. Great for families, with a lovely pool and organized activities. We had a perfect week in August and can’t recommend it enough!

My stay in Amani Paje was absolutely amazing. The hotel room was very big and comfortable, the bathroom as well. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They make sure that you get everything that you need. The breakfast was the best I have eaten in Zanzibar. A lot of choices available and so delicious. The host Anna is so nice and helps you with anything. I truly felt like home there. Would absolutely recommend this place and hope that I can come back soon. Thanks to Anna, Paolo and all the staff!

We spent 4 nights and we really enjoy our stay The location is amazing, Jambiani beach is perfect for relax but still waking distance close to Paje to have sport/leisure activities The facilities are clean and well maintained The staff is kind and they took care of all our needs, transfer to and from the airport/activities/drivers, we felt at home. The food is delicious, we had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant everyday. We strongly recommend the place!

Xanadu was a dream of its own. This magical Afro-Arabian oasis of dhow wood, adobe, palm trees and pure white sand embraces you with its solitude, calm and its pure inherent magic. I've never seen a place like it before where you feel at home instantaneously. There is no separation between the interiors and the exteriors, the spaces just flow effortlessly and continuously as one big comforting presence surrounding you everywhere. The beach flows into your rooms and your room flows back to the beach, in one stunning continuum. Have you stayed in a place where you didn't even need a key for your room and you just felt THAT SAFE? Xanadu was that precedent for me. Complimenting this mesmerizing architecture, art work and the most beautiful beach I've seen, is the grace of its staff, at the head of which is the wonderful and one-and-only, the lady herself - Miss Leigh, from her receiving us every time we're back from an excursion to her faring us goodbye at 3:00am in the morning, she was the constant maestra that kept the cadence and rhythm of this magical place running like a clock. Our wonderful butler Mr. Mike, was a prince of his own right, made us comfortable and taken care every minute during our stay. He's a ninja who knows when you need something and makes it happen with a snap. The food itself needs another chapter of praise, everything is freshly produced, farm-and-sea-to-table style. I've had the tastiest lobster thermidor in my life in Zanzibar! this for the books for sure. Thanks to the amazing local chefs and farmers affiliated to this gem. Xanadu, Miss Leigh, thank you for painting this unforgettable and beautiful portrait for our stay in Zanzibar. We're forever indebted. I would like to extend special thanks to the wonderful manager Issa, our drivers Carlos and Juma, masseuse Violet for being a part of this dream. Asante sana!

The staff, location and beach access is what we liked the most about the property. Mary, Maragaret, Priscilla, Anderson, Elias, Fred was amazing and rendered excellent customer service during our entire stay!!!! Mary made sure that we ALWAYS have everything we may have needed. She was very friendly and professional during our stay. By the end of our short stay, Mary felt like family! She will truly be missed! Mary is definitely an valued asset to Fun Beach Hotel!

Beautiful seaview room no 10, paradise gardens, lovely spa, early check in. Tasteful dinner entertainment. I loved that it was a proper reflection of the Island in that you took home the beauty of the place and kindness of the people. It was not loud or noisy and had very few touristy hotels and vendors hassling you

Beautiful beach, warm and calm ocean to swim in. Lots of eating options, amazing people. Yes, there are people trying to sell you things on the beach - but was quieter than other beaches (Like Paje) and they are all respectful.

This place is a gem!

This place is a gem! A new hotel with a big heart, right by the ocean, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a stunning pool. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the breakfast is fresh and delicious, and very friendly staff. The connection to the hospitality school is inspiring—it's not just a great stay, it’s also supporting something meaningful.. It’s rare to find a place that feels this good in every way. The beach is beautiful and the water very warm.

The beach is beautiful and the water very warm. Because of the strong tides there's only water in the morning and the afternoon but it makes the beach very interesting and beautiful and gives the oportunity to walk far out and find seashells and starfish. The only downside to the beach is the many very insisting sellers who make it impossible to go for a walk without being approached.

A peaceful and welcoming town with a strong sense of community and a safe, relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a peaceful part of town, where there were noticeably fewer street vendors selling beads and souvenirs compared to other areas. This made the atmosphere even more calm and relaxing, allowing us to fully enjoy the local charm without feeling overwhelmed.

Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice. Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open. We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company. Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email. The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule. The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent. Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional...

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.
