amazing people, amazing interior, best stay during our trip in Zanzibar. next time must have is to take an option with included breakfast, we were sad that we did not choose this option. room nr. 1 was amazing, our best recommendations to our friends and everyone. super location, you can walk for few hours, than come back and go for a walk again, because everything is very close and you do not need to leave the hotel for all day.

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

Staff were friendly, right from the shuttle driver to housekeeping. They gave recommendations on recreational activities and facilitated them kindly. It was a brief stay but a wonderful one. The room was large and clean with a comfortable bed. The pool area was gorgeous and lush for an airport hotel.

The style is different from any other in Zanzibar, it is nice and all decorated. The breakfast was plentiful, varied and good. The location is perfect, right on the beach and in the streets you can do some shopping. We had dinner every night and the food was good and the price was acceptable. The view from the room was very good: sea view (side view). The room: clean and quality sheets and towels; pillows: comfortable; there was a soap dispenser in the shower and hands; the bathroom: nice. The staff: professional, attentive to customers and friendly. WIFI: excellent

We chose Zanzi Resort for our honeymoon. It couldn't have been more perfect. Hakuna matata. After seeing the pictures and other reviews, we were confident this was the right place for us. The small resort (13 villas) and staff team gave the chance to get to know people over the week and a half we were there. The team were inviting and hospitable, yet discrete. With an ocean access villa and caccooned by gardens on all sides, there was all the privacy in the world. Delicious food from the 5-course tasting menu each night. Quantities of fresh fruit every day (bananas and mangos will never taste the same again..), plus the chilled coconuts and hibiscus juice kept us going. On our last day, we took the hotel's Dhow tour out to Prison Island, the sandbank, and a tour through Stone Town before heading back under sail for dinner and departure. One of the most magical days of the whole trip. Being away 1-in-10 weeks of the year for work, this resort redefined what it means to relax. It felt good to find a smaller boutique resort too. I don't have enough good things to say about Zanzi Resort. Asante sana!

The hotel is conveniently located near the center of Stone Town, making it perfect for sightseeing. Tucked away in a quiet alley, it offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel itself is wonderful! It has been converted from a merchant’s residence from the Omani Empire era, allowing guests to experience its historical charm. The interior is beautifully decorated with antique furniture collected from various African countries, creating a stylish and soothing ambiance. All the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, which we really appreciated. Both the rooftop dinner and breakfast were elegant, and you could tell that the chef puts care and attention into every dish. I was initially concerned about reviews mentioning that the shower had no hot water, but new facilities have been installed, so there was no problem at all. Although it is an old building, it is meticulously cleaned and very hygienic.

This hotel was superb. It was even nicer than I expected. The building is gorgeous and historical. The location is perfect, little winding street in Stone town a few streets away from the water which was nice and quieter than right on the water. The roof top was amazing! The breakfast provided many options with a stunning breezy atmosphere. Great restaurant options and cocktails as well. The room was spotless and very large, exceptionally comfortable.

Zanzibar old town is not only nice itself but is also a starting point for other trips. Worth visiting in town: - Slavery memorial museum - st. Joseph Catholic Cathedral - local market - food market in Forodhani at night - small streets with souvenirs shops - Portuguese Arch Trips outside: - spice plantations - prison island - snorkeling - mangrove forests Old fort and museum was under renovation so I didnt visit. Don’t stay only in all inclusive hotel. Allow yourself to wonder and even get lost in the town.

The place very unique like you are in a movie, refreshing to see how they lived in the 1800 and 1900, the environment is clean, the only thing I didn't like is that the hotel on the beach, released all the dirty water into the sea
