Hope this information will be useful and helpful: the location of this hotel, just south of Kiwengwa has very little foot traffic making the beach areas more private, its much better to stay here if you don't want to be hassled by beach boys and masai's like in Nungwi, Kendwa, Stonetown or Paje, This was our favorite hotel and restaurant during our stay in Zanzibar. The Cheff makes the best home made breads and I'm usually not a fan of bread. The seafood was to die for, the local fisherman catch the fresh octopus right in front of Z-Lodge, the menu was built by the owner, you can see they put a lot of effort into this kitchen . Staying at Z-lodge made us feel like we were on a tropical island without the mass tourism rush senstation, We loved it, and would go back again, The staff is super friendly and helpfull all the time, I felt comfortable with the location and security of the location at all times. PS, Start with the cake of the day!

The hotel arranged a tour to Jozani Forest for me, washed my laundry for a very reasonable fee, and answered my many questions about transport around the island. I loved having access to shady lounge chairs on the beach. Best of all, the food was amazing. There were so many delicious options.

I think it's the best beach in Zanzibar, second might be Paje, For me, Nungwi was so relaxing.. We stayed at Kajibange Guest House, awesome place with great staff and ate there the whole time.We did the sunset cruise as well and enjoyed it very much. It's easy to reach from the airport by taxi, it takes around one hour and costs 30 USD per ride, not per person.

In Tanzania and Zanzibar they have problems with power, and water is not everywhere...but it's Africa so i think this is normal. Public transport for the local people are very cheap but it's a crazy, they accept too many people in a car. The nature there are very wild, i liked that.

Is good to take a guide for the city tour (pay attention because they ask a lot of money...10 $ is a correct price). If you take a boat trip to Nakupenda and Prison Island ask the price for way go and way back because they will tell you the price per one way...

The views were so nice not the sunset were beautiful on the jetty bar. The dinner with entertainment was a bonus touch always looked forward to dinner at the resort. Daily breakfast with fresh omelette made right in front of you was a bonus touch , I had it daily. All staff were super friendly wherever you met them it made being on the resort welcoming, special shout out to Happiness she made a mark and I definitely remember how helpful she was. I loved the room touches and cleanliness, such a gorgeous room.

Amazing staff! They’re the kindest people I’ve ever met! It’s located on really nice beach. I would say it’s the best part of the beach. If you walk few meters on the left, there’s plenty of starfish. Really delicious food in the restaurant. Breakfast was also good, not the same every day and lot of choices. Wouldn’t find any better place. :) We stayed all day after check out before leaving and they let us take a shower in the lobby, provided towels and also beach towels.
