I was very impressed with the room size. We were four persons in the family and the two Queen beds were perfect for our comfort considering we stayed for 8 nights. The two armchairs and desk with chair were awesome. The coffee (which was good) and tea in the morning at the Lobby was very convenient. The people at the Front Door are very helpful and friendly. When you call for anything, you receive your request right away! Furthermore, the room had windows on two sides. The one beside my bed I could look out to and watch the sky and the people on the street.

I LOVED Boston.

I LOVED Boston. I found it to be an incredibly walkable city from my centrally located hotel. I took advantage of the Trolley Tours to get me around to the historic sites. I only had to take a taxi to and from the airport. I visited the Constitution Tall Ship, Boston Commons Park, and saw that 1 day truly wasn't enough to see everything I had hoped to see. I rode in a Swan boat and the Carousel in the park. I also visited the JFK Presidential Library on the day I still had my rental car. It was an easy walk from the drop-off location to my hotel. The food was fantastic at the Elephant & Castle Pub attached to the hotel. Don't miss it for a meal, even if you don't stay at the attached Club Quarters. I hope to return. But time and $ will affect that choice. Visit Boston! The Heart of American History.

As a former Cambridge-area PhD student I know the area very well, though I haven't returned in more than 10 years. It's a very pleasant environment with much to do (cafes, restaurants, bookstores, theatre, the universities, their museums, Mt Auburn cemetery, and much much more). Boston is only a short T-ride away, with all the attractions of a very enjoyable city, at least if you are not visiting in January/February! The Charles river basin and cityscape is attractive, as is much of Boston harbour. The coast both to the north and south is quite beautiful in many places. Cambridge is extremely walkable, one of its best features - essentially at good European city levels. Across the Charles river is Kenmore Square and Boston University, and all the very fine Boston museums (MFA, and Isabel Stuart Gardener both recommended, as is the Museum of Science, though I did not visit any of them on this trip as it was for work). Food is excellent, and the city has great features for all ages IMO. Personally I rate Cambridge/Boston a better *city* combo to visit than Berkeley/SanFran, though of course nature in CA beats that in MA (but MA is still v good).

Brookline was very nice, the town seemed to close up kind of early on a Friday/Saturday night but restaurants were open. We went to Garrisons Restaurant Friday night and it was very good. We walked around and felt very safe. There isnt a lot of diverse restaurants, but if you like, Japanese, Chinese, Tai, Sushi this was the place for it! every other restaurant. The Greenline train was super close and took us to Fenway Park (just 2 stops, 5 minutes) . We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn which is on Brookline and we had a very nice stay.. the air conditioner was super cold which was very nice after being at a game in 92 degree weather. i would definitely recommend the Brookline area.

I loved the choice in transportation (bus, trains, subway, etc) easy to get around. Wonderful clean in Boston Downtown, great tours, great restaurants by the water, very relaxing. But the traffic is a night mare! Our poor tour bus driver had to deal with stop and go traffic the entire time. We did take a train to Salem for one day, a 30 minute ride. VERY NICE! So close to town, we really enjoyed the weather as well, we were fortunate to have some of the best weather you could have in August.

Somerville is a very nice place in itself, and has easy public transport options to Boston. Just don't reserve a place through booking.com, because when you arrive at the address you might find, as I did, that the room doesn't actually exist.

Great location to jump to various places around south east Massachusetts. We stayed during the World Cup events, about 10 miles from downtown Boston. With all the fans staying at the location, many times there was not a lot of breakfast items to go around. And the room service, including linen service, is on an at need request.

I was charged $279 because of a faulty smoke detector.

I was charged $279 because of a faulty smoke detector. I was lied to. I had stayed at this location five or six times in the past couple months and never had an issue... My significant other had Room To go get something out of our vehicle And the door shut a little hard and smoked detector fell. About 5 minutes later there was a knock on the door from maintenance stating that their panel was showing we smoke alarm being activated.. Apparently if it is disconnected it sends a signal to the maintenance office that there is a fire ..He askedTo verify again that there was no fireWhich I didI asked him to come in and check for himself And to put the smoke detector back up Which he refused 5 minutes later I get a notification On my phone that they charged me $279 for the Fire Department coming out. Which they did not. I was told I would not get a refund and that I needed to call the gay manager in the morning which I did.She told me All she could do is Refund $125. But instead of receiving a refund 4 hours later i got another notification stating that i was charged another $279 so they have charged me twice..They are Crooks .I filed a dispute with my credit card company and waiting for an answer..
