"Boston is a lovely lively clean and very accessible city, Walking around town is very easy and there is plenty to see and do. The Bostonian's are very warm and friendly which creates a lovely ambience around the town. Eating places are plentiful and varied. Thoroughly enjoyed the open tram rides and the Boston Tea Party. I would recommend Boston to anyone who has not been."

"Cambridge is an easy, safe and picturesque place to walk around. The streets are clean, the parks are beautifully maintained and there is stunning historic architecture, as well as quaint shops and eateries everywhere. We particularly enjoyed seeing the beautiful Memorial Hall. It's a pity visitors can't look inside, into the Annenberg Hall dining area, but we appreciate that the Harvard students may not like an audience whilst eating : ). The Harvard University of Natural History is fantastic and the Glass Flowers exhibit is a must-see! Being a rower, I enjoyed seeing the beautiful Weld Boathouse and Newell Boathouse and watching crews row up and down the Charles River. If you love books, The COOP bookstore is well worth a visit and if you enjoy ice-cream, I would highly recommend getting a Taiyaki (Japanese ice-cream) from Taiyaki NYC in Church Street. The ramen at Boston Ramen at 24 Holyoke Street was delicious and I would highly recommend grabbing a waffle and coffee from the food truck parked in the Harvard Science Center Plaza. If you're going into Boston, I would highly recommend the Boston Tea Party Ships and museum experience (an excellent interactive, re enactment experience), having a ride on the beautiful Greenway Carousel and walking through the Boston Common, seeing the 'Make way for ducks' statue and, for the 'Cheers' tv series fans, visiting the Cheers bar."

"Location was good, the back parking lot grounds were scattered with litter, alcohol bottles, broken glass etc...the roll in shower soaked the entire bathroom floor, it made a horrible mess, and the walls are paper thin, 2 nights in a row we were kept awake by the person in the next room...over all I would not recommend spending the money on this motel, you'll be disappointed, the bed was so rock hard, there was no getting comfortable."

"It was 170 metres from the Subway. There were a range of shops and eateries, which because of the length of our stay we couldn't avail ourselves of. It is close enough to the city to make it a short shot to the major things you would like to do. The subway is very good and comprehensive enough for our needs. It was a friendly place which I would recommend to anyone."

Had a great stay at Withney hotel. Location is in one of the most picturesque and vibrant areas of Boston and close to all main tourist attractions. The hotel is spotless clean and the staff is approachable, courteous and happy to help at every opportunity. We also tried breakfast which was high quality. Definitely recommend.

As a former Cambridge-area PhD student I know the area very well, though I haven't returned in more than 10 years. It's a very pleasant environment with much to do (cafes, restaurants, bookstores, theatre, the universities, their museums, Mt Auburn cemetery, and much much more). Boston is only a short T-ride away, with all the attractions of a very enjoyable city, at least if you are not visiting in January/February! The Charles river basin and cityscape is attractive, as is much of Boston harbour. The coast both to the north and south is quite beautiful in many places. Cambridge is extremely walkable, one of its best features - essentially at good European city levels. Across the Charles river is Kenmore Square and Boston University, and all the very fine Boston museums (MFA, and Isabel Stuart Gardener both recommended, as is the Museum of Science, though I did not visit any of them on this trip as it was for work). Food is excellent, and the city has great features for all ages IMO. Personally I rate Cambridge/Boston a better *city* combo to visit than Berkeley/SanFran, though of course nature in CA beats that in MA (but MA is still v good).

I have stayed in Boston (city center) many times, but it was my first time staying in Brookline. I actually enjoyed staying in Brookline better. Brookline has balaced mixtures of beautiful treeline residence areas, tons of great cafes, shops, and restaurants, 10 min to Fenway, T runs through Brookline, and easy street parking! I would stay in Brookline again.

Great location to jump to various places around south east Massachusetts. We stayed during the World Cup events, about 10 miles from downtown Boston. With all the fans staying at the location, many times there was not a lot of breakfast items to go around. And the room service, including linen service, is on an at need request.

I was charged $279 because of a faulty smoke detector.

I was charged $279 because of a faulty smoke detector. I was lied to. I had stayed at this location five or six times in the past couple months and never had an issue... My significant other had Room To go get something out of our vehicle And the door shut a little hard and smoked detector fell. About 5 minutes later there was a knock on the door from maintenance stating that their panel was showing we smoke alarm being activated.. Apparently if it is disconnected it sends a signal to the maintenance office that there is a fire ..He askedTo verify again that there was no fireWhich I didI asked him to come in and check for himself And to put the smoke detector back up Which he refused 5 minutes later I get a notification On my phone that they charged me $279 for the Fire Department coming out. Which they did not. I was told I would not get a refund and that I needed to call the gay manager in the morning which I did.She told me All she could do is Refund $125. But instead of receiving a refund 4 hours later i got another notification stating that i was charged another $279 so they have charged me twice..They are Crooks .I filed a dispute with my credit card company and waiting for an answer..
