United StatesThe resort has an old-fashioned motel style but is all modernized. The room was a generous space. There was a fridge and a microwave as well as a coffee maker. The heater was easy to operate. Everything in the bathroom worked. The motel was quiet at night. There were lights on both sides of the very comfortable bed! You are right on the bay, and can enjoy water activities, or just walking along the water and watching the bay.

I was surprisingly and delightfully impressed w/the “standards” of this lil North Bay Inn….especially the impeccable attention to detail @ CLEANLINESS!!
First @ Foremost, it is VERY centrally located….for business or pleasure…. just off Hwy 101 (Marin County…only several miles to the Golden Gate Bridge @ San Fran on one side….Napa just 30 mins to the North)…Inn situated w/in outskirts of San Rafael area:) off Hwy 580 Ramp. HUGE and extremely comfortable King Rooms are immaculate and CLEAN and tastefully furnished w/detail AND practicality:):) @ all simple amenities one may need/desire. Basically in a business park like area w/a lovely quaint “coffee shop” on corner of property (separate from the Inn)….that opens at 6am!!:):) Just a quick jaunt down side street to San Rafael (Trader Joes, Whole Foods, various gas, grocery, restaurants, businesses, etc:)
When I arrived, all carpets in each room had just been thoroughly @ professionally cleaned….I was thrilled!!!! Carpets and Rooms were in terrific shape and spotless!!! (29 July/2024:):) SO IMPRESSED by that in itself being a “clean freak” shall we say:):)
Anita (office manager:) greeted me with professionalism @ assertively answered any/and all questions or enquiries I had. She was organized, efficient and very capable and excellent in her management position. Her experienced cleaning staff know how to clean properly and maintain a high standard!!:):)

The heater worked perfectly.
There was an outlet with the lampshade on both sides of the bed.
The bed was very comfortable. The mini fridge is bigger than average. Lots of space.
The TV was nice. Big TV.
The staff was very kind and helpful.
Free coffee in the reception with different options.
Free ice cubes outside.
You have a microwave in the room.
Lots of parking spaces and it's safe (way safer than San Francisco. you can't even compare).
WIFI was fast and worked fine !
I loved the window shades. It really block all the light if you want and if you want just a little bit of light still nobody can see you inside the room because of the angle. I really liked that.

Totally exceeded our expectations. It's an expensive hotel, but we are talking about the Bay Area, where everything is pretty expensive. The room was insane. We had an amazing view of Sausalito Downtown and the bay. It's worth the money spending a little bit more money (as we did), to stay on one of high level rooms.
When we entered to the room, it was better than in the Internet pictures, which never happened to me before. High cellings, huge doors, all accomodations, king bed super comfy.
Another detail is that we got to our room by a Tesla Model X. It was my first time on this tesla model, and eventhough it may not seem great, for me it was so cool.

All of the staff were kind, efficient and helpful. They were able to accommodate my late arrival and even upgraded my room to a suite which was spacious and sparkling clean. It would be ideal for a family
Also my room out of view of greenery which was very nice
The bed was comfortable. There were plenty of towels and amenities and the location is so convenient to everywhere right off the highway. Plus there's good food That's easy to get to and open 24 hours.
It would be a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to spend more time in the golden land with my new home away from home

What a wonderful hotel - from the warm welcome on arrival to every detail of the stay. Super comfortable rooms (we had 4); breakfast delivered to your door but on a tray so you could head up to the deck overlooking the Bay, Alcatraz and San Francisco beyond. The front desk staff were all helpful and friendly but we have to give a big Shout Out for Tom who went out of his way to make us welcome and help us with restaurant ideas, parking etc.

What a magical stay. Just one night but I would most definitely go back. Perfect oasis before a work summit in the city. So beautiful and calm. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is super relaxed. We didn't dine in the evening, but the breakfast was delicious and speedy. The shop is also really good with so many nice pieces, including lots of clothing (dangerously good), and very attentive assistants.

Lovely Northern California spot on Tomales Bay. The room was lovely, with wood burning stove, leather sofa, comfy king size bed, and the best bathroom ever! Bathroom had heated tile floors, his and hers sinks, clawfoot tub, and a beautiful walk in shower. We stayed in "Fly Fisherman" cottage.

Ate dinner at Il Davida for Italian. The service was great and the food was better. Enjoyed our evening immensely. The dessert was the icing on the whole meal.

Novato is an ideal locatin for any direction of travel.
Novato is an ideal locatin for any direction of travel. Not far from San Francisco, close to charming Petaluma and the rest of Sonoma and Napa wine country, easy to get to the ocean, and it's a nice town. Also has the wonderful SMART train for access to the Larkspur ferr to SF and the Schultz airport in Santa Rosa.

I grew up in Mill Valley and absolutely love opportunities to visit. Proximity to wonderful trails, lovely views, redwood trees, interesting neighborhoods; pretty waterfall; nice theater and music hall offering quality entertainment and a movie theater; good food choices (both from cafes/restaurants and upscale grocery stores) and very close to other interesting towns and San Francisco. Public transportation around area is limited but getting to/from San Francisco via public transportation is easy and have done it often.

We lived in Marin for 25 years before moving outside Chicago in 2019. When we can't stay with friends, we stay at Marin Suites because we love how centrally located Corte Madera is. Super easy to get to go north to wine country or south into the city and beaches. We appreciate the convenience of several grocery stores and great shopping, boutiques as well as chain stores.

Sausalito is a beutiful town with many great places to eat. THe views from the harbor are outstanding, acros the bay to San Francisco and the other bay islands. It's also a great base to vist San Francisco from . You can take the ferry or take an inexpensive bus ride which takes about 40 minutes and has the added avantage of a trip across the Golden Gate Bridge on the way. The bus opeartes every hour throughout the day and the ferry every 2 hours 0700-1800. If you want live music in a friendly bar then the No Name Bar is for you. Great music and a good selection of micro brews. Hotels are rather expensive but this is the same in downtown San Francisco. Highly reccomended.

Walking around in the small local towns.
Walking around in the small local towns. Best meals I had were at Piazza D'Angelo's in Mill Valley and the Garden Cafe in San Rafael. I think its best to rent a car to drive through all the local towns in the area. My favorite spot was the McNear's Beach.

Small and quiet town with a shortish main street with a great bakery (Bordenave's). Enough cafes and restaurants to choose from. Lovely Mission, and cute shop which unfortunately has limited opening hours. Great location for nearby hikes.

Novato is a quiet suburb north of San Francisco.
Novato is a quiet suburb north of San Francisco. It is mainly a working class town with a few enclaves of expensive large houses on acreage lots. There is also an area of large rural properties where horses are popular as well as other barnyard animals.
Access to the ocean is via Novato Blvd. ( a central street running through the center of town ); following Novato Blvd. west is a beautiful 45 minute drive to the town of Point Reyes Station and the Pacific Ocean beaches just beyond (10 minute drive further west).
Lovely visitor friendly beaches and hiking areas. Local shops & good restaurants, a bakery, a grocery store are all available in the town of Point Reyes Station if you take the ride to the ocean
